IF and this is a very big IF, it was workable there would be stiff penalties for breaking the PG rating. We are discussing the subject.

She means shouts in the shoutbox. They don't want furs spewing explicit things into the shoutbox.

A very good reason to use caution, I think.

I bet it could be easily controlled - members only, plus possibly a waiting period/personal request to use it or something. Curse filter. Make entries mod eraseable. Heck, have it with a limited scrollback, so non-mods can bump bad messages right off screen.

As for putting it in a vote needs to take place in the staff section but until White Shepherd lets someone know if this is possible a vote won't be put in.
I'll link him here.

Though wince the Texas server crash Furtopia is already spread pretty thin as far as server space so I'm sure it would be a but before it could be done.

From what I read a Shoutbox is like a live personal chat and or a thread with no topic or direction. We have a online Live Chat. How would this be much different?

a shoutbox is a little thing on the forum page itself where people can leave quick messages.
In my opinion they're pointless and i'd prefer the IRC.

Agreed... shoutboxes are pretty much random and pointless.
