just saying it would be easier to introduce it to new members this way, who would generally be in need of it the most - not sure if this already is implemented, but I dont think I saw a link to it yet in the mpod.

I don't know. I think the way we implement the MPoD is good how it is now, it's a good introduction and there are many links in it to guide new members.

I have brought this up with Kobuk in the past, that maybe there should be some changes to the MPoD made.

The entire section about the artists area, the radio, and all of those things, should probably be taken out because those parts of the site don't exist anymore. Clicking on those words on the Mpod just lead to dead links

Always found it insincere to be perfectly honest. Kinda like an automated bot when you call "tech support" The red text is also alittle intimedating. Light blue is much more approachable as a colour for important issues. Never really clicked on links, didn't know some were dead.

I actually am with you on this one. It gives me the impression of "fill this questionnaire and maybe someone will read it." Like one of those formalities you do when you get into a new country.
The use of reds and yellows also were a little offsetting. The big bright colors may get attention but they also seem more like a warning, specially coming from the mod.

That said, it is nice to have a tradition that has endured for so long.

I'm already thinking of new ways to modify the current MPOD and will be submitting a new version to the staff for review in the next few days.
