Suggested Furry Outing
« on: July 19, 2008, 01:58:22 pm »
I was just telling Itico about Bay Beach Amusement Park and Wildlife Sanctuary located in Green Bay, WI. For anyone has been there, you know that it is a fun and inexpensive place to go (the rides at the amusement park cost a quarter or 50 cents and admission to both the park and the sanctuary is free of charge). Just putting a shout out about a possible furry outing there. Would probably be looking at going there sometime in August. If anyone is interested in meeting up there, let me know what dates are best.

I think it could be cool, especially if a few people could carpool and save on gas money!

Tentatively, we are looking at the weekend of Aug. 15-17. Park hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. through the 17th. We will likely be arriving at noon (on whichever date works best for people). I was thinking that we could maybe do a potluck sort of thing for lunch, or if anyone wants to bring their own lunch. They have a nice picnic area, overlooking Lake Michigan. If anyone has ideas or suggestions, please let me know. Hope to see a lot of you there. I will announce which date we are going after I hear back from some people. :)

Okay, we have a date! We will be heading to Bay Beach on Friday, Aug. 15 and arriving at Noon. Anyone who wishes to join us  can meet us in the picnic area outside of the amusement park. We will be wearing tee-shirts with a furry theme, but you can also recognize us from our real life pics seen here:

Look forward to meeting up with some fellow furries for a fun time!

Hello All,

Itico and I had a wonderful time at Bay Beach Amusement Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. Unfortunately, I forgot just how big the place really is, so we never found any other furs who may have shown up (and we were running a little late getting to the picnic area). Anyway, For anyone who may have went, we hope you had a good time.

On a side note, here is our furry find of the day... purchased the roll of mints in a vending machine in the basement of the Wildlife Sanctuary ;)
