Halloween is about 3 1/2 weeks away. What are everybody's plans? Parties? Trick or Treating? What costumes, if any, will you be wearing? Any special Halloween events happening in your town or city?

It is funny. Halloween is my parents wedding anniversary and my mom in particular hates the holiday. And she seems very uncomfortable with furry. So.. since my fursuit is kinda scary I was thinking of trick or treating at her house just to rub it all in
But knowing her, she will have the light off and be eating the candy herself.
There is a nice haunted house here in an old abbey (which I affectionately call RedWall Abbey). I was contemplating going to it in suit as a customer, or helping scare people as a volunteer employee. :D
Arvada Tails is my "local " ( 150 miles away) furwalk. I think they may be doing something in public on Halloween.

Working the closing shift at work 7:30pm to 1:30am

Falls on a Thursday, which is a meeting night and likely a Halloween party with the cadets. If I attend, then no handing out treats in costume at home. Haven't decided to costume at work, though it's a slow day. Undecided on a costume.
However--Always looking forward to stocking up on chocolate on 01 November.

I probably won't be doing anything special for Halloween. Maybe just stay home and watch a movie or two.
-
Work just sent out an email, they have a $20 prize for best costume, and another $20 prize for best chili. So... Can a GSD also bring chili to work??
Oh yeah, best part is we can decorate our office space. So... shall I or shan't I?
Maybe it is best not to show up at work as a huge dog creature?

Halloween kind of makes me a bit depressed. But only for the following. As I see it, there doesn't seem to be much creativity or imagination when it comes to Halloween costumes. :P I see the same stuff being advertised and worn year after year: Dracula, Mad scientist, Werewolf, Princesses, Cats, etc., etc.
You've got thousands of years worth of human history and dozens of years worth of film & tv history that people should be able to come up with better characters and personalities to portray. But evidently not. It's still the "same old, same old" stuff.

I think a trio of people portraying Wacko, Yakko, and Dot would be awesome!

Going to a corn maze before i go to work at 7. So at least that's one fun thing Im doing.

At work there was a pirate, a cow, a duck, a bowl of ramen, a zombie, and a bear. None of these people are furries as far as I can tell.
The duck was elaborate and looked good. It is funny how this was acceptable but my fursuit would have been too much.
