Hello my special someone I know it's been a while,
But you are always on the edges of my mind,
And yet I know not your personal style,
And your face is undefined.
Are you out there in the lonely dark?
Are you staying warm and well?
And my words do you even mark?
Would I even hear your knell?
So do I sit and hold out hope,
That one day I'll find you near,
Or sit around and mope,
with words you'll never hear.
Thus I wait for that special day,
When we finally meet,
Even the heavens cannot sway,
The joy within my heart so sweet,
So this goes out to you,
In the hopes it bears true,
That my loneliness might be undone,
By meeting my special someone.
