Supposed to be working from home (multi tasking) but work load is getting so daunting that I am getting crippled with anxiety and I am about to shut down.
I shouldn't be on this site during working hours, but again, I really can't face this amount of work load like this. This job is crippling me.
So what I am doing right now is stressing to the max.

Taking down the Christmas tree. Counting every ornament. So far.

Hand made. 46

Plastic, 106

Glass 5+ inches. 44

The hand made and plastic numbers could go up as I take more off the tree. There is still hundreds to go.

I get an email today telling my my latest Amazon order will arrive sometime between Feb 4 and April 4. Today is Jan 13. So my white paint is still up to two months away? Nope. Plan two. I'll go buy a quart of flat water based house paint. I will not be stopped!

Found some white hose paint in my garage so I don't have to wait till the paint gets here. It's house paint. I'm making cardboard houses. Works for me.

Also still taking down the Christmas tree. It's going slowly because I don't have to be in any hurry to do it. The total ornament count so far is 305. And the tree is still loaded. Most of the ornaments left go in their own boxes.

The toaster came in. That's the good news. It's got a removable glass window that needs to be in the right spot for the toaster to work. Tried getting this in the right spot now for 20+ times. I'm going to have to call costumer service to find out how to put this in. When I force things I bend tools. These parts are plastic and glass. If I force things I'm afraid this toaster will end up in pieces.

Kind of a lazy day. Watched a bit of playoff football. The playoff games are always better than the Super Bowl. After wrapping up all the ornaments already off the tree I took off more. Right now I'm standing at 438 ornaments. Will I surpass 500? Easily.

Took my last ornament off the tree. Tallied up the count. 497!??? NOOOO I'm three ornaments short. I had 18 plastic icicles on but didn't count them. There was so much on the tree you couldn't see them. Even with the sun coming through the window. If I cheat and count the tree topper, Buffalo snow and plastic icicles each as one I would then have 500. But winning by cheating isn't fun for me. I will meet and exceed this number next year! I missed it by three ornaments.

497 ornaments. Not a single plain one color ball on the tree. Now you know why the tree is wired to the wall behind it. That's a lot of glass.

Just finished helping a friend dismantle, transport, then assemble again, a medium sized glass cabinet that he bought for our model club to display models in at a hobby store.
And the entire time I'm thinking: Please don't break. Please don't break. Please don't break!

I just ordered a new custom gaming/productivity rig and I'm suddenly worried that I may have overdone it this time and that the folks building it will secretly judge me for my design having, besides the usual extravagances, two dozen USB ports (yes, this is more than most motherboards support, but fortunately there exist stupid solutions to stupid problems). Am I alone in thinking PCs just don't have enough USB ports these days?

Sorry Kobuk, I could totally use you here. Next time I will live feed my life from here (maybe if I can figure it out) so people can see how stupid hard it is for me to put this suit on. I am glad I did that in a cold garage at like 0F . I was still sweating.

You can see the focal plane was the snow in front of me. Lame. Oh well I got a focal blur.

Another reason to have a helper is to avoid this...

I am up to relaxing a little, while working from home. Work place had pipe burst, no water, no toilet, no people allowed in building. OSHA rules I suppose.

But here at home, life carries on.

I need to drive into the next county on Saturday to join in my CAP squadron preparations for an upcoming inspection. Gotta bring in a base station transceiver and power source so it can be tallied when the actual inspection occurs.

Windshield wipers stuck in the upright position again. Actually happened last Friday. When all the cold weather hit. Had to wait till it warmed up to fix it. Plastic, rubber and vinyl parts tend to crack when ti's that cold outside. Easy fix.

Turns out this isn't going to be an easy fix. Got the tab bent back up into place. However the wiper transmission didn't catch on it. Seems the substrate the tab is connected to got twisted. Going in the shop next Tues.
