Abe Lincoln, a good man or not.

We keep hearing the GOP claiming to be the party of Abraham Lincoln. After some
research I think our country should give him a second look.

The misery he caused the american Indians to endure was shameful to say the
least.  He supported Henry Clay (his secretary of state) who felt the extinction of
the Indian people  would be no loss to the world. Lincoln wasn't alone, as many
people at the fime felt the american Indian was a savage to get rid of.

Here is a link to a article about President Lincon as it relates to this subject.

I think its horribly fallacious when both parties claim back to 'heros' before the recent political history, the parties have shifted around and changes so much over the centuries, both the DNC and GOP from 150 years ago would be utterly appalled at what their current incarnations are. Heck, even from 50 years ago they would be.
