I want to rebuild my site, but as it seems, the Advanced FTP has been removed, so now I cant delete the sections.
Please tell me how I can delete the categories.
-
Nocte will be adding category delete support soon. In the mean time have you ever tried a FTP client? They are a lot faster than web and easy to use. There is a free one called filezilla here: http://www.furtopia.org/tools
If you have any problems let me know here. I'd even be glad to help walk you through it on IM.

Oh, wow, this is nice, I think I got the hang of it actually, thanks much! ^.^
Yeah, I wanna redo my site up and use it like a library and guild to story/game and all my work.
Thanks much!

Yes it is. FileZilla is what WS and I use and always recommend it to others that are having problems with their FTP access. :)
-
If you use the firefox browser. There is a ftp addon for it here.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/684
I find it works pretty well.. They ask for donations, but
it's up to the user.

Is there a guide somewhere on how to use Firezilla? I just downloaded it and I'm completely lost on how to connect much less everything else x.x
-
I've started using Filezilla as well, since SmartFTP started making it mandatory to pay for their software after many years of it being free. Gotta love that. :P

Mianame, It is rather easy to use.
When you open it up, after putting in all your info (login and password etc.) you will notice that there are two windows on your left, one at the top, one at the bottom, one on the right.
The top window shows whether or not you are connected. The two on the left: top one shows your hd (s) and folders on your HD.
The one under that shows you all your files.
The bottom window shows you how your uploads/downloads are progressing.
The right window is your site.
Now, from the lower left window you would click on the files/folders you want to upload to your website (right window). You would right click then click on 'upload' and it will upload your items to your website. To download from your site you would right click then click on 'download'.
You can also use the 'drag and drop' method or even the 'double click' method. All work just fine for uploading and downloading.

I hope this helps. :)

Okay, kind of getting it now, thanks! One last question though. How do I know what the host and port for connecting is?
-
Your host is: ftp.furtopia.org the port is: 21 (though you can leave it blank).
-
All right, thanks!
