Title: Fursona's Themesong?
Post by: Leon the Coyote on April 06, 2009, 11:22:38 pm: I've read hundreds of posts on people Fursona's but i never see anyone with a themesong for their Fursona. So i guess i'm posting this to see if anyone have a song that best fits thier Fursona, be it one you come up with or one others have given you. Here is a link to the song my friends gave me for my fursona since it reminds them of me and my fighting (Me and my fursona are fighters)

It's called Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence by Dream Theater. It's about six different mental illnesses, and it shows the instability with my fursona.

My fursona has two sides to him. The Evil side (naturally.) and instead of a good side, it is more...Corrupted. Hence why both themes are dark. After Confession defines the evil side more. At A Place Nobody Knows describes the corrupted side, or rather the remix does.

This is something I've actually put some thought into quite a while ago. My fursona is that of an okapi, which is a cousin to the Giraffe native only to Central Africa in the Congo forests. So, armed with that, I tried to find some African Furry music, and the best one I found which would fit me perfectly is from a Dance group known as Dario G. Back in '98 they made a single that hit the top charts in Europe (not so well here in America) called Sunchyme.

The music is mostly made from African Chant songs with a modern beat. The 'story' of the music is about a number of animals that are crossing the desert in Africa searching for water. Both predators and prey walking peacefully side by side on their trek. When they find a plentiful waterhole, they all stop and take a drink while their 'costumes' come off and reveal different african tribes instead of animals enjoying the clean water without violence. I love the anthropomorphic costumes they use in the music video.

You can find it on youtube, I highly recommend looking it up if you like Furry Music. hehe.

Maybe you should just google the lyrics, as that is what I really look for in a song. I like songs that are well written, and tell a story. I admire people for their songwriting ability more than their music. I like folk, but most of it borders on country (dont smack me too hard!) and wanders into Southern rock. That said, the songs that come to mind are Robbie Foulks "I Push Right Over", and John Prine "Illegal Smile" If you like poetry, give Prine a listen if you can get past the twanginess of it.

Reason why is that I wrote in a story that my fursona hates the way he looks. He's a wolf with a tiger's stripes and his tail can't make up its damn mind on what it is. The tail looks like an overly long wolf's tail but instead of just wagging it slashes around and twitches like a feline tail. The fur that he marries is the one who gives him his theme song.

For my other fursona Brisbane it's Don't Worry be Happy by Bobby McFerrin (if you don't know this song you've been hiding uder a rock for your entire life. But I'll post a link here anyway

Mag (Impulsive, kinda nasty bearthing.) - Alphabit - Get Down (Audeka Remix) because it's very... chaotic, and thus suitable
One (Arctic Fox. Very calm and understated type mostly) - hmmm, this one's slightly harder. I guess Parallax by Direct
Slither (Manipulative snake.) ...... alright, I give up, no idea here

Welcome to my life and go hard or go home beceause #3 is a sad song and I've been though much pain and I'm only 15 and #5 is about family and this fandom is too (own opinion if you disagree) and I would put everything on table for the fandom and I wouldn'tbback down if it meant death is in the furture...heck everyone's going to die but make this life worth it because you only live once so make it count and sorry if this was too long for some of you guys could read but if you read it fully thanks for reading it fully :P
