I also enjoy 3D modelling, although I find it sometimes very time consuming, and frustrating. What kind of things do you model?

I just want to know how many furries are actually into this.
From what I've been able to observe, it's quite a lot. In my area, Debian is the Furry distro of choice.
Not too surprising considering that Furry-dom is a spin-off of the original UNIX hacker subculture that developed during the late-1960s -- early '70s, as did the various sci-fi fandoms. The UNIX hackers were the first Trekkies, Tolkeinites, and Furries.

I'm not much of a programmer myself either, except for Web programming. But I'm more interested in (greyhat) cracking. I only like to do it for fun, not for destruction.

Heh, thats more of a hobby for me... Im still in school
I don't think i could make this into a job because it will lose it's "fun"... Besides, i live in Bulgaria, and game development means almost nothing as a job here

but I know hat you guys are talking about, the way this comp is acting up, I shoulda took some classes in THAT.
I've had a comp since 88...one of those primitive tandy's. also had video games since I was 6 or so...which means I've been gaming for over 20 years!

I was worried about that also, but I still enjoy web development.
I figure if you like something before you're getting paid to do it, you'll like it even more when you are getting paid... Bulgaria! Wow, that's far from here, for sure. There's a big video game industry in California you could take part in, given you moved there...

As am I. Bachelors in CS. Putting that knowledge to good use now mostly as web administrator.
Since I'm a Mac guy in terms of home use, I've dabbled alot in the Cocoa environment ever since I purchased my first OS X 10.1 some years ago. It's something I've had to self teach, but arguably it's one of the most unique and elegant languages I've come to understand, though not fully. I probably couldn't do Cocoa programming for a living, but it's a nice hobby language for me.
Of course, I'm versed VB, C, C++, (and a hint of Java) among others and call upon their assistance from time to time.
And no, I'm not the destructive type either.

As far as hardware, I can build/upgrade/maintain computers mainly because it doesn't take too long to figure out that the 8 tab connector fits into the 8 slot receptor.
Despite all that mess though, I'd consider myself a "computer veteran", even if my skills are mostly secretarial. I've been using computers since I was 3 (I remember being amazed at how realistic Might and Magic I looked) and while I tend to stick to Windows, this is mostly on the advice of more experienced friends and relatives (stability, compatability, etc.)
I'm interested in knowing more about computers, mainly so I know what to do when my computer breaks down in some new and exciting way. Fun stuff, if perhaps over my head at the moment.
