Title: Furs back home!?!

Hi there.  I only recently moved to America from N. Ireland and I am actually surprised to find furries back home.  
Are there many?  Are Ireland furs different to other furs, apart from the country they are in?  
You might think they are silly questions but I'm just trying to find out things at the moment.

Hey there and welcome to the boards, Gem.

There are indeed a good number of us very close knit across the province (In fact there's a meetup this weekend). I'd say we're the same as all other furs the only difference being our location in the world.

Yeah that is a plus to the size of the area, I like that idea.  Its not really possible on an informal way here but crazy as it sounds to me...  My husband is taking me to Califur and I've only just got into all this stuff.  You could say I don't know what to think.

I originally lived in little Whitehead and then moved to Ballymena when I was nine, leaving there for Cali in Oct.  I went to Jordanstown Uni (which in the address says Newtownabbey) and I work at AH Design on the Albertbridge road in East Belfast for my placement year.

If jokes start about ballymena I always remind people that I didn't originally come from there.  

I'll possibly be back in N.Ireland to get married in my church, next feb.  So you could have a furry meet then, and my husband and I will join you.  

I now long way off, I'll mention it closer to the time.

I found other furrys, YAY, I live on Coleraine and i thought that i may be the only one here or at least one of maybe a few.  Nice to meet you all.  Is anybody going to the anthrocon in 2007 or 2008?  I'll be going in 2008.

I'm from Belfast! (well Holywood but meh) I only know one other furry, but then being 17 I suppose I haven't been out to meet other potential furries.
I can't believe there are more of us over here! Yay!
(I'm a wee bit excited as you can tell)
I'm not on my own anymore ^^

P.s...yes I know I am late ¬_¬

P.p.s DarkenWolf... my sis goes to Colraine Uni... but she isn't a furry.
