Virginia is for Furries

Ok, since there's a few of us scattered about the state lets have a weekend gathering. I live just east of Charlottesville, about 25 minutes off of both I95 and I64 and have lots of land to hang out on. I've got three acres that are mine and 45 acres behind me to hike, ride atvs, fish, camp- whatever. It's just over 3 hours for the furs in the Va Beach/ Hampton area and around two for those in the NoVa area, so I'm pretty centrally located for everyone. I've got plenty of room for anyone who wants to overnight- there's the living room, my sewing room, my camper, I can borrow my brothers camper, the boat and all the room for tents you could want. Everyone can stay the night if they want, so no long drives up and back for anyfur- we can find you a spot somewhere!

Lets all get together!

Ok, it looks like June is out of the picture. I've got to put a custom front end on a buddies scoot and have it done before AC, so that will tie me for the next couple of weekends. I have back surgery right after AC so that will rule out at least the following week-end and probably the one after that.

So, how about July 30/31st?

I got the bad news thursday- my back surgery has been postponed from this wed for two weeks, to the 27th. I won't be up and mobile enough by that sat to hold the cookout, so I'm going to have to delay it for a week or two. I'll see how the schedual works and repost a new date.

There are a lot more furs here in VA than I thought. I live about an hour outside Richmond, >_> nothing but trees here.

I live just about 20 miles from the Shenandoah and the Blue Ridge, just outside of Charlottesville.

When you get out of the cities like Richmond or the Hampton Roads area or Northern VA, driving distances seem to increase.  Case in point, my aunt lives in Lancaster County, VA, and I still can't believe that it's 3 hr 14 min from my place.  To say furs are scattered all over the state is pretty much dead-on.

Hey all, I am over in Newport News. Would love to meet or hang out with anyone around the south east part of the state. Sadly I cannot go very far due to travel limitations.
