Hey all, decided to display a few pictures I worked on in the last few days.
Shadow Dragon (No color)
Follen (From Story: Endgame)
Also, I'd like to put out that I am short of ideas and would welcome anyone who has been looking for a picture of their fursona. If there is anything you wish to know on that, you can post here or msg me. O^-^O I have LOTS of time on my paws... lol
But anyway, enjoy the pictures!

I just realized I forgot to mention something about the dragon. When I color it, it will show the folds of the second wing... but for now, it looks like one huge black mess O>.<O

And here is the finished piece. Texture was added with PhotoShop7, and coloring was done in PhotoDeluxe

Not bad, but make the paterns on the hide by hand...dont use the preset paterns ever as they always make art look flat even with shading. Otherwise its pretty nice.
If you want to draw some one, Ill volenteer. Im always up to adding another picture from an artist on my web site

I like how the dragon turned out. I was just wondering though it the image is supposed to be a bit blurred? Or is it from the sizing to fit here?
For the "Follen" you going to color him? I like his cape.

That blur is actualy a major downfall of photoshop. It happen even when you draw a straight black line or use the magic wand tool and fill. It leaves a boarder of fuzz. Dunno why they made even a 1 pt line 3 pixels thick...zoom to see what I mean.

In my PSP 5 I tried that and my line was only 1 pixel thick. That is the little squares, right? When I use the "1" and then zoom in on it, it was only 1 square thick.
So, how would Mousira make the piece more in 'focus'?

Yes, the image is supposed to be blurred to give it that 'old photo' look. (Hence the white outline) And as for Follen, I started coloring him today. I should be finished soon, but he'll take a bit longer as I'm trying to make his cape look like real fur.

As I said to Kada-Ru, the blur was on purpose. I don't use PSP to finish my pics. I like to use Imagefolio. IF doesn't pixalate when you shrink the pictures. (Unlike PSP that I found does.) And the only texture I used from PSP was the stainedglass effect to give the drake scales.

I only need to know the important details about your character before I can draw him.
'> But as soon as I know, I can start work on him.

Yep...like I mentioned, in -Photoshop-, that blur is actualy a common problem. PSP 5 (Paint Shop Pro) isnt exactly my first choice in programs but it definatly has an advantage over anthything Photoshop related. Now, one can use the pencil tool and get pixil width lines on Photoshop...but for some reason they are never straight even when using a bridge on a tablet. Very unusual but its a flaw in the programing that does this.
The pre-pen sketch is always a good Idea Mousira, and its a great way to improve manual skills. I recomend doing this for every computer illustration just because I believe in "loosing the feel" of technique. Basicaly that means that one can learn more about coumputer illustration then manual illustration and never truely have a sense of what it is to draw on paper.
These sorts NEVER...and I do repeate NEVER get out of that slump and rarely advance to anything beyond cute comics. Ofcourse, for those who do not wish to make a job out of their tallents, this is fine.I am always biased twards Dragons, and I have shown your illustration to afew friends of mine who also love Dragons. Everyone thus far loved it. How long have you been drawing anyhow?

I've been drawing since age 10 when a friend of mine and I made a comic about a stickman and his stickdog trying to take over the world with the stupidest things. (I'll be scanning in some of these soon, and I'll post those links when I do.)
I started drawing furries when I was about 16 yrs old. My first drawings of furries aren't very good, as seen with this, my first furry pic:
Mousira-Water
The hands are off, the nose is huge and the proportions are off.
'>
Around age 17, I forced myself to draw better, and my artwork progressed. This was the first pic to show that I was getting better:
My friend Kinson, and my Alt Personality: Somuria
The proportions are better in this one, and the noses are much smaller. But the bodies look stiff.
Now, at age 18, my art has progressed to a stage that I am happy with, and it is still progressing:
My Alternate Personality - Kalsam
The proportions are nearly perfect, the face looks symetrical, and the flow of the body works, it doesn't look choppy. The hands are still a bit off, but I never claimed I could draw them
'>
(Small note: I have five personalities in total: Mousira, Somuria, Kalsam, Setrelca and Celestra.... the information behind this can be found on my
About Me!
page...)
Hope this answers your question O^-^O
