I am but I ma not sure I will be doing any panels this year

Pre-registering for a con isn't necessary, but they'll usually have a slightly discounted rate for people who pre-register (as opposed to registering at the door). You will have to register one way or another, though, because you need to have a convention badge in order to access the convention activities. That's how they know you've paid :P

I'm thinking I'll probably check out Furlandia this year. I've emailed them to ask if I can have a reading or writing panel scheduled.

It sounds like they'll have me do a reading from my novel, Otters In Space, at 2pm on Saturday followed by a panel on "Furry Writing" at 5pm. Should be fun.

I heard about that, but I didn't get there until it was already cleared up on Saturday.

The Portland Water district sent out a boil water order for the Portland metro area. The hotel is in the zone. The hotel handled the crisis very well proved free bottle water in restaurant and made sure watering stations were filled. The Sheraton's response was better than the restaurant I went to. The order was rescinded on Saturday.
