Trump removes animal abuse data from the USDA website.
« on: February 07, 2017, 10:03:00 pm »
Trump tells the USDA to remove animal abuse reports from
the USDA website. They are trying to say Obama did it, but
thata's another lie.

The Trump administration has removed data from the USDA
website.about people selling animals. This data tells if
a person properly handles animals for sale. Some states
used this date to prevent animal abuse. I guess the little
critters aren't worth enough for Trump to care if they
are abused or not.

well thats a pretty bad decision.. hope there is a reason behind it but feeling some doubt about that since most people dislike animals and just dont really care how bad they are treated...  might be planning to replace it with something better but i really dont know.

As long as the GOP controls the legislature it's likely Trump and his VP lacky will
be with us till 2020. If that changes after the 2018 election he might be impeached
along with the VP if they can use association for his guilt.. Then we might get a
democrat if they control the house, since it's the congressional majority leader
that is next in line if memory serves me correctly.

We can hope there will be enough backlash to turn this around. There are millions
of pet owners who love their animals, and I am sure  they will find this very
objectionable.

Even if Trump doesn't let the USDA post animal abuse data for the public again. Here is a
website that has most of the data he copied before it was removed. He is also asking
for any data that others might have downloaded prior to the deletion.

I can't say for sure what his intentions are, but so far it looks good.

WARNING  Some of the data might be disturbing to those
who care about animals.

I think I just figgured out why Trump had the abuse data removed.  It
had laboratory animal abuse data as well. I think the pharmaceutical
industry asked Trump to remove it. He had met with the CEO's of that
industy about a week ago. I could be wrong, but I know they don't want
the public to know the terrible things they do to animals.

I understand the need to use animals to improve human health, but I
have a hunch they care more about the costs than how much suffering
is endured by their test  subjects.  :(

I heard some more on this. Turns out commercial providers of Pets
are in favor of this as well. They felt any report might harm their
reputation.

Well as usual money is king above all suffering, animal and human.
At least for Trump and his rich friends.
