Title: You cubs git offa mah lawn!
Post by: Kwan on May 14, 2008, 04:02:55 pm
I just found this Greymuzzle group. Thank you Kobuk for starting it!

40 years old here,  been an anthro for over 20 years but not really active in the fandom until the past five or so.

I think this WikiFur entry (http://furry.wikia.com/wiki/Siege_Voxus) establishes my qualifications. :)

I'm 34 and been into the furry fandom stuff to varying degrees ever since I was 20.
Eh, I have a WikiFur entry as well... which can be found... here (http://furry.wikia.com/wiki/Benjamin)! Heheh.

So... Hello to the fellow greymuzzles!

Hey all... I don't see too much action here, but I'm 35 and have been a fur pretty much as long as I can remember and have been to a few local cons, but have not been to active in the fandom online until recently.

Just watned to pop in and day hi! (:

Figured I better toss my hat into the ring too. Been a fur as far back as I can remember. Not so active in the fandom though over the years. Correction, I went to one when it was still apart of the sci-fi cons. (yeah, that long ago.) I have been wading deeper into the fandom online of late though, instead of just drifting around the edges. Think I'll go back to hanging on the fringes though...

I've liked furry things since I was little, known of the fandom since 2000, and only began to consider myself a fur starting last month.

I'm 25, but frankly I often feel left out when I'm on IRC trying to discuss something and then all of a sudden people are pouncehugging and snuggling, or pretending to eat each other, or talking about some new game that I've barely even heard of. Don't know if that's greymuzzle (beak?) behavior, but there you go.

Not necessarily. It just means you're fairly reserved. My boyfriend is the same way, actually, and yet he is only 24. I say this purely on my own observations: some Greymuzzles tend to be more reserved, others not so much so.. though I admit they tend to be reserved and/or conservative more often than other age groups in the community, but that is a perfectly natural sort of thing - older folks tend to be in support of the older ways more often.

*Scurries off, getting offa the greymuzzle's lawn, particularly before Kwan notices and psychologically tortures him for the intrusion, or worse, administers a "noogie." Though he will, on his way out, pull at Kwan's tail*

Depends on how long you've been in the fandom, really. I consider myself a Greymuzzle, since I've been in the fandom 10+ years now.

Frankly, I've just been around so long that I'm bitter, cynical and jaded to most newfound furries. But I was never the 'murry-purry love and hugs accept everything and everyone' type.
