General Vernon sat up in her bunk in her private room in the Valkrie quarters. She glanced at the clock hanging on the wall and read 4:00 am. Soon, at 5:00 it would be time to meet the team the top-brass had chosen for her. She stood and walked to her desk where the files of the afore mentioned team members were, then looked them over another time. They would be lined up by 4:55 on the training-room floor. She turned around and stepped into the armor dock, and placed her hands into the gauntlets and her feet into the boots, effectively stepping into the skeleton of the suit. Once it confirmed she was in, it started loading the plates onto the frame. once it was done, she stepped out and took her helmet from the rack, put it on, and let the HUD slowly come online; 4:30. Having covered herself in armor, she started towards the training room.

Alpha controlled FOB Charlie:
---Pounce stood and wordlessly moved over to Prowl, checking her vitals. "Wise..." She said, sounding about to cry. "I... I can't get a pulse..." --- Pounce sat up in bed beside Wise, tears streaming down her face. It wasn't unusual for this dream to come around and wake her up in this manner, but that was not a comforting thought. She quietly slid out of bed, careful not to wake her mate, pulled her boots on, and headed towards the courtyard. Maybe someone was awake and around.

Griff was already up and had his armor except his helmet. he was sitting down reading a newspaper, He looked up and said "Good morning." then he continued reading the paper

Scott was working out in the courtyard, practicing flips off the walls. "Hey pounce." He said as he turned from a flip. "How you doing?" He asked as he did a handstand and started to do some exercises that way.

Farica gestured towards the training-room and continued walking. Her gesture was her order; move.

"Alright, I guess..." Pounce lied, shrugging as she sat down on the fender of a nearby jeep. "About as good as usual... how about you?"

"Same as usual." Scott said. "I'd rather be running around through some parks or rooftops but I'll manage." He said with a nod. He sat down on the grass and laid down. "Well...what's planned for today?"

"There's several supply lines running through today... Going to FOB Delta..." Pounce replied. "They won't make it there, though. We're going to intercept them."

"Any idea what's in them? Weapons, food, general stuff like that?" Scott asked. "Assuming it's wheeled we could always use tbe old fashioned caltrop. That's good but noticeable." He said as he thought. "But...Well we'll find out later."

"Monorails, actually." She said. "They've been getting smart. I think they realized how easy the trucks were to stop."

Griff walked over to the training room he asked "so what are we doing today?"

"Escort duty." Farica said, bringing up files on her tac-pad and sending them to his. They were to escort monorails and make sure they got to FOB Delta.

Grifd looked as it appeared on his watch he said "shouldn't be much trouble when should we leave to go?"

Blades was out in the courtyard, suffering from one of his usual bouts of insomnia. Leilani was still sleeping in her room inside the compound. Blades had out his sketchpad with a few colored pencils, as as his usual for what offtime he got.

"Well, if you'd payed any attention..." Meri said, joining her squad. "You would know line up is at five, then we get our guns and head out."
"4:55." Farica corrected, stopping at the door to the training-room.

"Anyways..." Pounce said, standing. "Just be ready. At the most, they'll have a few peacekeepers onboard the monorail... Nothing we can't handle..." She walked over to Blades and glanced down at his sketch pad. "Mornin' Blades... What're you drawing... Er... Sketching?"

Griff said" Alright lets smoke some Alphas and keep the convoy safe." he said smiling. he got ready to go for the mission looking around to make sure everything he had was in order and ready to go.

Griff looked at his watch sat down and waited for the rest of his squad to show up

Meri sat next to Griff, humming happily to herself as she checked over her armor. Once she had finished, she looked over at Griff. "There's only four of us in this squad, unless you count the voices in my head, then there's eight, but anyways, there should only be one more we're waiting on..."
Farica glanced at her Tac-pad and noted the time- 4:45. Her other squad member had better hurry. They would leave without her if they had to...

Griff replied "yah i guess so but im not crazy or maybe i am." he smiled "well hopefully this mission should go well have had a couple that didn't go that well." Griff loaded his rifle and pistol and then holstered his pistol and slinged his rifle he said " are you ready?"

Blades smiled looking up at Pounce " Hey Pounce, I'm just sketching another ocean scene. Leilani wanted one for her birthday and that was a month ago. Had a bout of insomnia and didn't want to wake her up." He looked down a little. "This has gotta be tough on her being as young as she is."
Faye walked up to her fellow Valkyries "Sorry about the holdup...had to cut my hair a bit. But that's not the point, I'm here and ready for action!"

"Yeah..." Pounce sighed. "I hate that this fell on her... But we all play a part, you know? It just sucks that she has to so early on... Look, I know you don't want to wake her, but we have a supply monorail to intercept... Gonna need all hands on deck. Would you mind waking her? I'll wake the fearless leader..."

"Get weapons and ammo." Farica ordered, picking up her weapons from the wall rack. "We move in five."
"Haha! Lock and load! Let's light up some Alphas!" Meri jumped to her feet and started loading her weapons, humming again.

Blades nodded as he picked up his sketchbook and pencils "Yeah, can do Pounce. Not a problem. She'll be ready when the fearless leader gets up." He walked into Leilani's room and nudged her. "C'mon Leilani, up and at 'em. We got something important to do.and we need you." Leilani slowly got up "Blades...do I really have to?" Blades patted her shoulder "C'mon, you'll be alright." He told her as they walked out to the others.
Faye went to the weapons rack, placing her predator II in her thigh holster and picked up her mad hatter rifle. She followed the others "Alright. Another day, another task...No worries though, just focus and you'll be fine."

"You shouldn't talk to yourself." Meri said, hearing Faye speak. "Your other voices might start talking back." She made sure the fire rate adjuster on her smg was cranked up all the way-about 1500 rounds per minute- and put it on the mag-lock on her chest. "Mine do all the time."

Pounce went back inside her and Wise's room in the compound and knealt down beside her sleeping mate. "Wise... It's time. Wake up please..."

Griff already had his weapons ready he picked up some ammo from the armory .338 and .357 for both of his weapons he put his helmet on the hud came up turning on saying"welcome back." Griff swiped threw tested his cloaking ability he sat down inspecting his weapons for potential jams

Faye looked at Meri "I already have a voice yelling in my ear via my visor...her name's Navi and trust me...she knows I'm the one steering the wheel here." She answered rather confidently "Navi was made in a factory...I..was made in heaven as my armor so says so yeah...Igot the superior parts here."

Meri shrugged and let out her tongue in a rocker type grin, then smiled at her with her head slightly cocked. "We can taste your unhappiness. You should be happier. Maybe it's because you pretend to be something you're not... A kitty trying to be an angel... we know I'm a bat, and we're happy."
"Let's roll." Farica interrupted, opening a vault type door leading out of the training room. This lead through the heavy outer wall and revealed a truck sitting there, waiting to take them to the monorail station.

Scott walked around a bit aimlessly before deciding to head inside. He wandered around there too, simply thinking a bit.

Griff got up almost instantly he walked towards the door and took out his rifle putting it on safety he walked towards the truck and prepared for what came next

Jacques 'Archangel' Merit pulled himself up from the seat of the truck opening the door. "Thought I heard new souls to protect. He glanced around and picked Farica out of the group..You are obviously their leader, so I...I shall follow your commands to an extent." He looked at the rest of the group then back at the truck. "I will do my best to use the cleansing flame of the Heaven's to crush those damned souls."

"Hey!" Meri said, seeing Archangel. "I'm Merida And Meri... And Ace... That's three of us..." She boosted to him and flared her wings to stop herself from running into him, then held a hand out towards him. "They tell me I have MPD... We believe them. But we like my crazy life. It's fun."

Archangel leaned back puffing out his chest a bit as he studied Meri. He looked down at her hand, he shook it gently. "Your civilization has strange customs, with the shaking of hands..." He let out a huff. "Either way it's a pleasure to make your acquaintances Touched one."

Meri giggled lightly and stuck her tongue out a bit. "Touched... I like you. We have never heard that one before..."
"Load up." Farica ordered, interrupting Meri, then got into the driver's seat of the truck.
Meri scowled and her ears drooped for a second, then she returned to smiling once more. "We answer to any of those three names... The others don't wish to be known now, though..." She quickly climbed into the uncovered back of the truck.

Archangel looked up and gave a simple nod to Farica then climbed in the back with Meri. "That is what we angels call furs like you. Your mind couldn't handle the divine power from above so your mind fragmented." Archangel let out a slightly saddened sigh, then shrugged his should. "Never the less you all must remain vigilant." As he stared into Meri's eyes it felt as if he was looking at each persona individually.

"I can see your wings." Meri said, canting her head to the side. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone..."
(Just what we needed... A semi sane furson with a completely insane furson to back them up...)

Faye stepped into the truck rather gracefully. She overheard the convo between Archangel and Meri or whoever in God's name she was at the time "And you think I'm silly for my nickname and slogans...please..." her tail twitched a bit, like before any other mission showing she was ready for action.

Scott wandered more before sighing. "When are we supposed to leave!" He shouted in the central chamber, hoping someone who knows what's happening would tell him when they have to leave to intercept the monorail.

"He has real wings... You have painted armor." Meri said. "He is nice to us. You're rude." She snaked out her tongue again and giggled. "He glows..." She turned back to Archangel and started at the shiny armor on his chest.

Pounce returned to the courtyard with Wise and motioned for everyone to regroup. "Alright, guys, let's hit it!" She climbed into a jeep and fired it up, Wise getting in beside her.

Scott nodded and hopped in the van. "What's the plan?"

(Look Mr.Bubbles, an Angel)
Archangel put on his helm, the light rose colour of him blushing could be seen ever so slightly" He looked over at Faye. "And who are you?"

Griff sat down humming to himself. He kept thinking about the mission and got more nervous by the minute. Griff looked at his watch then continued waiting.

The truck roared to life and started moving, Farica havig seen Griff get in. Black smoke poured out of the stack as the truck rolled through the gate, which was opening as the truck moved.
"She's an imposter." Meri said, beginning to him happily as she found a piece of paper and a very used pencil, and started drawing.

(Where'd you get van?)
"Ambush." Pounce said. "We'll stop the monorail, fight off the few peacemakers intel suggests may be tagging along, then load up the jeeps."

Griff looked over and said "you think will catch them of guard?" he was fiddling with his mags to make sure they didn't fall out

"No, so they should catch us off guard either." Archangel sat focusing on his breathing for a few minutes. "They'll have put as much if not more planning into their scheme then we have in ours, but they are damned ones, and that will be their downfall."

Griff was thinking he said "Hmmm true that but i think we have a good chance."

Faye looked at Meri annoyed "Yeah, makes sense the multiple personality lady would side with her fellow nutjob. He don't have wings...people these days." "They don't need guns...they need doctors..." she muttered in her head. "I question who's worse...the Alphas or these...people?" Continuing the thought in her head.

Blades merely nodded "Gotcha Pounce, stay frosty everybody!" He turned to Leilani "Just stick close Leilani, you'll be alright." Leilani merely nodded".

"You fear what you do not understand don't you.....Faye?" Archangel just simply shook his head at Faye, turning his attention back to Griff "Just because we have superiority over them doesn't mean we should get sloppy or careless. I don't want to haul your soul off just yet"

Griff smirked " Don't worry you won't have to,and I'm not getting careless anytime soon." he noticed that they were almost there

Meri finished drawing, and ended the tune she was humming; though it was more of a random collection of notes, then held the paper out to Archangel. It was a decent drawing of him with feathery wings and a halo; in the place of his handgun was a flaming sword. "I would accept an apology, kitty..." She said offhandedly to Faye, then abruptly changed personalities. "but I might not."
The truck pulled to a stop outside of a military controlled monorail station, and shut down. Farica stepped out and hammered an armored fist against the side of the truck. "Dismount!"

Pounce nodded and fired up the jeep, then signaled to follow her and punched it. The jeep spewed gravel for a moment before it gained traction and took off through the gate of the compound, towards their intercept point.

Griff got up and put his helmet on grabbed his rifle and pistol and walked to the monorail

Archangel took the drawing looking it over, but quickly folded it and stuffed it in his armour as he got the order to dismount. Jumping out of the convoy he stretched cracking his knuckles and taking out his combat knife, giving it a quick once over.

Griff found his seat on the monorail he said to Farica "how long will it take to get to the FOB?" he was counting his rounds and making sure his grenade pins were bent, so nobody could pull them or go off accidentally.

"Withholding delays, eta is 45 minutes." Farica said, entering a code in a console. "Grab spare mags from those crates, and straighten those pins. If nobody can pull them, it's safe to assume you can't either."
Meri walked into the monorail and, after grabbing about five extra mags for her smg, sat down in the floor, legs crossed. She started humming the same random tune from the truck, nodding slightly to the beat only she could catch.

Archangel grabbed two spare clips for his pistols, that he decided not to bring with him. He soon began clicking his tongue to the exact same tune Meri was despite not being near her. He shot her a smirk then took out a bullet tossing it in the air.

Griff nodded grabbing 5 extra mags for both his weapons saying" 45 minutes shouldn't be to bad hopefully ,all does go well ." he returned to sitting down and looked out at the city.

Faye grabbed two spare mags for her sniper rifle as well as three for her Predator and retook her seat. She seemed to go into a sort of meditative state, thinking back on everything that led her up to this point.

Meri stopped humming and stood, then walked right up to Faye, having one of her more same moments. "I would like to apologize for Merida... For ourself... We know we need to work together, since we are a team... I have a theory. You are a fallen angel, that's why we can't see your wings, and maybe why you're so unhappy..." She held out her hand to shake, not realizing how rude the last part came across as.

Reverb:
Jackson awakes in the same room he had been locked in for the past two weeks; white brick walls with a thick plexiglass window set into one, and the bed welded to the other. At the foot of the bed was a stainless steel toilet like those found in prisons. Set into a third wall was a heavy steel door, and in just a few moments after Jackson woke, a doctor walked through it. She was a sleek black panther, maybe 5' 4", and her security pass read Dr. Dala Roan. She was carrying a tray with empty syringes on it; more blood work. "Still no development of powers?"

Jackson sits up and scowls at her, slowly moving toward the window to stare at her and moving his hair behind his eye. "I keep telling you, you draft lady. I am not an Alpha. I don't have any powers! So could you quit poking me with needles a-and let me go home? Or are you going to keep me, because you're afraid you made a mistake and don't want that to get out?"

"You have tested positive for the alpha gene." Dr. Roan said. "Though your powers not showing up yet is puzzling... Will you cooperate and allow me to draw your blood, or will the guards have to get involved?"

"Pfft. It's your call lady." He shrugged and put his paws in his pockets and walked back to the bed and laid down and stared at the ceiling, twitching his tail in annoyance, before sitting up. "So what happens if you're wrong and I'm not an Alpha?"

Griff got up walked over to a window and opened it and spit watching it fall very far till it splatered the ground.he was very bored and wished the monorail would go.

Once everyone was in, the monorail doors closed and the cars started moving. Farica turned from the console and started gathering ammo, listening to her squad as she worked.

"We are not wrong." Dr. Roan asserted. "However, if we were, you would be released." She picked up one of the needles and moved to Jackson's side, then carefully set about drawing more of his blood.

Jackson made a slight growl at her before twitching his tail again in annoyance, clenching his fists slightly. "Hmph. If you were right they would have shown up by now." hmHe muttered tartly. "You're just too stubborn to admit you're wrong for once."

Archangel let out a slight laugh at Meri's lackluster apology, he took out an incisor from his pocket and began juggling the bullet and the tooth.

Griff watched the city go by as the monorail picked up speed ,he noticed something watching the monorail. The figure looked suspicious.Griff discarded this thought and contuied watching .He was listening to people's conversations, he took out his blade and began cutting the rough edges on his nails it easily shaved most of them off ,the shavings slowly floated down to the floor

Faye realized how auful the last bit of what Meri said could be taken but...she thought it wiser to be the bigger woman in this case and play along...for team moral if nothing else. "Eh, maybe I lost a memory or two as well..." Faye said taking Meri's hand hesitantly. "But yeah...one of us could end up saving the other's life somewhere down the line."

Blades looked to Leilani as they waited for their objective to come in sight. She was obviously a bit nervous and scared "Hey...listen to me Leilani. I know you probably didn't want this...but it's what it is. Things'll be alright...we just need to have a little faith."

Meri grinned and shook Faye's hand, then returned to her spot on the floor and resumed humming her tune.

"We are not wrong." Dr. Roan replied, setting the couple of filled syringes aside. "We will continue the testing. If you wish for proof you are an Alpha, you may examine the samples in comparison to say... Mine..." She took the tray and opened the metal door to leave, then stopped abruptly, spun back inside the door, and slammed it closed again. A sound like hail could be heard against the steel of the door as she narrowed her eyes at him and started towards him. "What have you done?"

Pounce pulled her jeep to a stop about a block away from the monorail track, then got out, motioning for everyone else to do the same. She held her hands out to her sides and slowly lifted them, the jeep floating up as her arms lifted, then threw her hands forward. The jeep launched at the rail, smashing into the support and crumbling off a surprising chunk.

"What have I done?" He growled and got close to her face. "The question is what have you done? I'm not a experiment for you to poke and prod at all day. Now, seeing as you're aren't going to stop me, I'm going to ask you to open the door and kindly step out of the way...." he said, his voice trailing off at the sound. "What is that.... Rain...?"

Griff was looking at a picture of his father in his uniform , Griff remembered his father's death and quickly put it away remembering everything .

"That would be your alpha buddies." Dr. Roan replied. "No doubt a cryokenetic... I can't get out any more than you can now, though." The sound stopped and a few seconds later, the door started glowing. "I stand corrected. You'll be out in a few seconds."
(They aren't to the broken area yet, Shard. The general would've said something.)

He growled and clenched his fists, before yelling. "I am not an Alpha. Why can't you get that through your thick skull, you crazy old bat?! I don't have any special powers or anything like th-" he froze as the door started glowing. "Are they gonna hurt us...?"

Griff decided he would strike a conversation with somebody he walked over Sat down near Meri and asked" so how did you join up or find out about this?"

"You are an alpha, so probably not you..." She sat on the bed and crossed her arms, chin held high. "Though I am as good as dead." The door finally melted down and a smallish lynxette stepped through the still glowing hole. She was a mixture of grays, and had a short shock of black hair with red tips, and her as were covered in bright red flames. She smiled warmly as she approached him. "Ready to get out of here?"

"We joined because..." She frowned, thinking. "I don't remember why we joined... We get a gun now, though... That's fun... You?"

Jackson made a small yelp in surprise and froze looking at the small lynxette, his body shivering slightly. "I... U-uhm-errr... I g-guess?"

The lynxette smiled again, then turned to the doctor, the fire coating her arms flaring even brighter. "Alright, Jack- can I call you Jack, or do you prefer Jackson?- let me just take care of something right quick..."
(How about a test of your character's... Character... Hmm...)

Griff replied " my father he was soldier before this program I'm carrying the history farther for my family, plus like you said we get to do all the fun stuff." He smiled " just happy to be with my brothers in arms."

(Do it!) "Uh...You can call me Jackson..." he said, slowly backing against the wall, as he watched the fire costing her arms become brighter. "Wh-whatre you gonna do....?"

Griff began thinking about what will happen this mission, what will go bad or how some people might not make it but instead he began writing notes to himself to keep his mind off this.

"What does it look like?" She pulled back her hands and thrust them forward, palms out; a giant twisting pillar of fire let loose from her palms, engulfing the doctor. She was incinerated before she even had a chance to feel the pain. When the fire died down again, the lynxette was smiling again. "Well, Jackson, we'd best get you back to the base... I know it doesn't make sense now, but you're an alpha... You're in the beta stage, which means you haven't had your powers activated yet, so to speak... We can do that later. Follow me. Oh, and I'm Jaci." With that, she stepped back out of the room through the melted door; talkative, that little lynxette.

"Or in my case, sisters..." Meri corrected happily. "You know, because I count for more than one..."

"Okay....?" he nodded and followed, sticking close to the lynxette. "So, where exactly are we going?" he asked, pulling his hood over him and stuffing his paws in his pockets, looking around, surveying the surroundings. "Say, where are we to begin with...?"

"We are currently in peacekeeper HQ... Quite a ways away from home base, I might add." She replied, a Clydesdale falling in beside her. He was blue-ish white with a black mane, and had his arms covered in solid ice, aparrantly the cryogenic from before.
"All forces inside have been eliminated." The Clydesdale said, his voice just a low rumble.
"Good. Anyways, Jackson, the main base is at a military installation... A FOB, I believe they call them..." The lynxette could deffinately talk. "That's where you'll meet the big boss... Es... I'll activate you when we get back there... Any idea what your powers are?"

"I have no clue... I wasn't even aware I had any until that that crazy lady started poking at me..." He muttered and shook his head. "No matter. Think I can manage a normal life after that?"

"Huh, well, I guess that's just something we'll find out when we find out..." She shrugged. "None of us alphas have normal lives. Everybody ends up fighting for the cause one way or another: whether it be to save your own skin, or save your loved ones' skins... We all have something to fight for, but we don't have normal lives... Far from it. If you don't mind me asking, what do you fight for? I mean, you obviously haven't given up, otherwise you wouldn't have decided to follow me..."

"I'm not giving up. There are innocent people who are just being whisked off for no rhyme or reason and being tested if they're Alphas or not. Think about their families. It's really not fair and I want to be able to help those innocent people." he shrugged and shook his head. "My dad raised me see some good in people and try to help them. So that's what I live by."

"That's a pretty good thing to fight for... Wait... That lady back there, did I screw up your whole good in everybody thing? I mean, if you wanted to save her, it might've been a good idea to speak up... She didnt seem very good, but you know, to each his own..." She stopped in front of a door leading to outside. "Natural light might be a bit of a shock... I have no idea how long you've been here... We've broken others out of far darker places, and they'd been in there for a while... They had to wear shades for a week..."

Jackson shook his head. "You did what you had to do, shed go on testing people." he closed his eyes as the bright light temporarily blinded him, making him stumble outside slight. "I lost track after a few days."
(I shall return once I get some rest and get home from school! Night!)

"Oh, I didnt say I felt bad about it..." She said, her warm fingers wrapping around his arm to stabilize him and lead him to a car they had waiting. "I was just checking to see if you did... I mean, seeing the good in everybody usually means everybody... Doctors not excluded... Watch your head... I think you'll like it with us... The alphas, I mean... We have our problems like anybody, but we're all family... Not by blood of course, but yeah... We're close." After she guided him into the car, she shut the door and got in as well, then started it off. Soon, the car could be felt moving.

Jackson leaned his head against the window the car and closed his eyes. "A family, huh? It makes sense after all every one kinda has to stick together. Honest question... Do you think Alphas are the same as Valkyries? I'm mean, to an extent we're just as bad as they are at times..." He trailed off and sighed

Griff said to Mari " yah so do you have any family or is it just you?" Griff sighed " I don't ,my mother is in another part of the city, but I'm happy to be here I kinda forget sometimes." Griff smiled and resumed writing notes.

(He must've heard of the Valkries through the docs, because this is their first deployment...)
"Valkries?" The lynxette asked, sounding slightly puzzled. "Is that like peacekeepers or something? I don't think we're the same as them in the slightest. I mean, we fight to save our future, but they fight for our eradication, simply because they're told to. I don't think that makes them similar to us at all... Well, I mean, I do like a donut every now and then... Does that count?"
(Peacekeepers are basically cops with a little military training.)

"No, we never knew our family..." Meri said. "It is just us... I was raised in an asylum by ourself..."

Griff looked up from his notes and replied" That's depressing ,well my father died in combat his squad was going to die so he stayed and sacrificed his life so they could make it the evac point." Griff looked out the window" I don't usually talk about these things, but I trust you and I'm glad I can express my feelings." He looked back at Mari and smiled

Meri returned his smile and started humming again. "I'm glad you think we're trustworthy... Let me ask you something... Do you think we're crazy?"

Griff thought for a second and then said " No I don't think your crazy, I think we all have a little crazy in us." Griff said to Mari " why do think we're crazy?"

"And smoke some alphas." She added, smiling. She did the rocks star thing with her tongue again, seemingly for no reason, and stood, moving over to the ammo crate again, grabbing more magazines.
(I did some math... At its current rate of fire-approximately 1500 rounds per minute- the smg will eat through a 50 round drum in about 2 seconds...)

Griff laughed then he took out a piece of gum and chewed it while he wrote notes ( dang 2 seconds that things like a smaller version of the mini gun)

"My gun needs to be chain-fed..." Meri muttered. "We have to reload every two seconds otherwise... Can .45 be chain-fed?"

"Just make a couple modifications and it can, after this mission I can probably fix that." Griff said

"True, true. But do you think that Alphas have a chance to keep fighting? I mean, it seems like the Valkyries keep getting smarter and stronger..." He asked looking out the window and sighed. "Nevermind. That's a dumb thing to ask... Sorry"

"No... It wasn't dumb. It was a perfectly legitimate question... But uh... I really don't know the answer. I mean, I think we can keep fighting, but I don't know if we can win... I like to think we can." She sighed. "I mean, the peacekeepers aren't hard to defeat. What are Valkries, though? You keep talking about them, but I have no idea what you're saying... It doesn't sound good... I know that word means chooser of the slain... That can't be something good, right?"

Archangel soon grew bored and began messing around with his powers, he took out another tooth from his pocket, this one appeared to be a molar. He tossed it up in the air and using his suits power he flicked it, causing it to explode into tiny boneshards. "Hmmm too fast...not as durable as a bullet.." He pulled a few boneshards out of the parts that were not protected by his helm, namely his jaw. "Good for a surprise if in trouble.."

"I'm not sure on all the details, but that lady kept talking about them... She said they keep getting closer to figuring this all out and get stronger and stuff.... And possibly end all Alphas and the gene itself." He shook his head. "That's all I really understood... And I'm not even sure if that's right."

"Well..." Jaci said, pulling the car to a stop inside the compound. "We're here... Home sweet home... The others are away, raiding a supply line... Do you want to rest up a bit before I activate you? I mean, while you're here, I can help with the process. It isn't fun, but once it's over, you'll have control of your powers... You'll be a full on alpha... Or, if you don't want to rest, I can do it now... I would let you eat first, but you really don't need to eat before activation... I feel sorry for those like you, born without control of your powers... You have to be activated... I was born with control... I can't imagine..."

"Looks like the track's out ahead." Farica said, entering a few commands on the console. The train pulled to a stop, and the sides of the car they were in folded down. "Get out there and find out what happened.
Meri leapt up, then boosted to the top of the next car. "Finally! Action!"

He shakes his head. "Let's get it over with... It can't be that bad.... Can it?"

"Um..." Jaci muttered, getting out of the car. "Well, ie activated a few others before... As if the process wasn't bad enough, when your powers are activated, your body has to get acclimated to them... Now, in the case of a cryokenetic, they start freezing everything, uncontrollably... In the case of a telekenetic, things start flying... Not light things either... Pyrokenetics like yours truly, and up with a charred room... Do you see where I'm going with this? Oh, and to activate you, I'm sorry about this, but I have to kill you... More or less... Don't worry, I'm a healer too, so the injuries won't be hard to repair... And your heart restarts on its own when you get activated... I wish I could offer more comfort than that..."

He stammered slightly, his voice small and quiet. "Alright... Let's do this. I don't want to think about it. So let's get it over with"

Archangel got up tossing aside the boneshards and poked his head out, looking both ways before exiting. "Farica how do you want us to handle thi? Spread-out or group up?" As he spoke he but the lone bullet back into it's magazine.

"Stay together." Farica said. "Find out what caused this, and report back. Oh, and weapons hot."
"Haha! Weapons hot!" Meri shouted, tapping the trigger on her SMG and firing off a quick burst, probably about 12 rounds.

Pounce, hearing the train come to a stop, had her people hide. They were arrayed along the rooftops over the monorail, classic ambush formation. She held up a hand and started slowly, quietly, counting down. "Five... Four..."

"You'll be fine..." Jaci said, picking up a nearby shotgun. "Just think of this as an exercise in trusting your fellow alphas... This is probably gonna hurt a little... I'm really sorry it has to be done this way, but it is a lot simpler than how some got activated. Miss Silva got thrown from a tower... I'm just gonna shoot now..." She finally shut up and pulled the trigger, the shotgun aimed directly at his chest. She then dropped the. Gun and knealt beside him, placing her fighters against his neck to catch the moment when his pulse stopped.

Jackson closed his eyes and felt a pain in chest, then heard a the faint sound of wind rushing past his ears. His body collapsed onto the ground, his breathing and pulse becoming slower and slower with each moment until they were no more. He found himself in his thoughts and watched as he saw his memories of his life pass by him. His birthday... His parents anniversary... Everything...

Archangel simply nodded. He took out his combat knife clutching it in his right hand, and an ammo clip in his left. "Check for signs of foul play first."

Faye nodded as she drew her pistol and took a tactical stance "Watch the ammo, that thing probably tears through it faster than an arrow through paper."

Blades and Leilani followed Pounce's lead hiding and waiting for her signal.

As soon as Jackson's pulse stopped, Jaci placed her hands over the slug wound in his chest. The slug popped out of the wound, which started healing from the inside to the outside. Once the wound had closed, she slumped forward, having spent a huge amount of energy. As Jackson came to, he would see her face over him, eyes closed. She really was cute, or maybe that was the blood loss, altering his vision?

Jackson took a deep breath in and attempted to sit up. "Wha-what happened where am I?!" He looked around and shook his head, noticing Jaci, smiling at herHey... She's kinda pretty..... "Did it work...?

"Truck trailer." Jaci said, pointing at a con-ex box. "Go now. Your powers will start coming in soon... You can't be in the open..." She managed to stand and start toward the trailer, so she could close it behind him. "It's for safety reasons... I'd rather not be killed by you... Even though I technically just killed you..."

Jackson nodded and trotted over to the trailer and climbed in and to the far wall. "What's gonna happen...? Actually... I don't want to know... Let's just get this over with. It can't be that bad."

Scott watched as the jeep was thrown into the section of the track and laughed to himself a bit. "I guess we got a long walk back home then." He said aloud as he waited. The train would come at it's own pace and getting anxious would only make it seem longer.

Jackson nodded and trotted over to the trailer and climbed in and to the far wall. "What's gonna happen...? Actually... I don't want to know... Let's just get this over with. It can't be that bad."
Jaci quietly locked the door behind him, and over the next hour or so, he experienced various surges of power, escelating from fire randomly coating parts of his body and burning off clothing to near super nova type releases. When it died down, Jaci opened the door, slightly les tired than before. No doubt she got a little bit of a nap during that time. "How you feeling? Not all Phoenix-y, right? I mean, do you think you have control now? It usually takes about this long, but it has taken longer before..."

"3... 2... 1..." Pounce finished her countdown and clenched her fist. "Go go go!" She stepped out from behind the sign she had been hiding behind and launched a volley of fireballs at what she then realized were not normal peacekeepers.

Meri looked up as a fireball splashed down on the cart in front of her, and quickly returned fire, her whithering hail of bullets shredding the sign beside Pounce.
"Return fire!" Farica ordered, raising her gun and doing just that; several alphas falling off of rooftops, dead before they hit the ground.

Scott formed some long, sharp icicles, throwing them like a javelin at the the monorail. He took liberal cover and avoided as much fire as he possibly could.

Faye quickly holstered her handgun and pulled her sniper rifle beginning to pick off the alphas raining fire, ice and whatever else at them. She seemed to swing from one shot to the next with graceful ease. "Move up, I got us covered!"

Blades sprang up, forming a makeshift shield of sorts with various street signs and spinning others off towards enemy soldiers and peacekeepers. "Let's move, can only keep the shield up for so long!"
Leilani had pulled out a pistol in the meantime and began blind-firing from behind a bench, occasionally poking up to see if any alphas required her aid.

Archangel branded an evil smirk as he began popping bullets out of the magazine into the air and punching them, propelling them faster than most guns. He began to laugh as he began to fell Alphas left and right. "Where is your damned master now? There is no one to protect you from the cleansing power of my Master!"

Jackson nodded his head, panting slightly., looking at Jaci. "Yeah, I think I have control now... I mean, I'm not aimlessly shoot fire everywhere like I was earlier... Or ruining my clothes..." He half joked, twirling the string of the burnt and tattered hoodie around his finger. "And there's not a chance I could lose control again is there?"

Griff took aim and took out 2 Alphas he then yelled "covering fire!!!" Griff jumped to a ledge and managed to get to an area, the Alphas were about 30feet away, he climbed up and took another out with his knife slitting his throat he was spotted. he took a wound to the thigh he ignored it and took cover and reported over his comms " There here ." Pointing to the roof

"Quick test..." Jaci said. "We'll get you new clothes in a moment... For now, just uh..." She started the strip of hoodie on fire. "Just put that out... If you can, it means you have enough control. I guess you're a pyrokenetic, huh? Just like me... Oh, um... Just concentrate on the fire being out... Once you figure it out, it really is t too hard..."

Pounce ducked back behind cover; what little remained of it, and watched for a second as her team was cut down. "Everyone fall back! We're loosing too many!
Another hail of bullets tore through an air conditioner, barely missing Pounce. She picked up its shredded remains and launched it with her powers, causing it to slam into the car and knock Meri down. "Let's move, People!" She then spun around the other side of her cover and blasted a giant fireball at Farica. It splashed over the general's armor, knocking her down and burning a significant amount of paint off.
Meri jumped to her feet and raised a hand victoriously, then started to boost after the Alphas. "Haha! They are retreating let's ge-"
"Do not pursue." Farica said as she got up, cutting her off. "We have a job to do..." The last part of her sentence sounded as if she herself wanted to go after them. Something looked all too familiar about that little white she-wolf... "Someone get Griff."

"We should hunt them down while they are on the run, those wretched cowards will no what it means to fear Death." Archangel began to shout at the top of his lungs. "YOU TWISTED CREATURES SHALL BE CLEANSED BY THE PURIFYING FLAME!"

Blades nodded "Loud and clear!" He released his shield, firing the signs at the soldiers in front of them. "C'mon Leilani, we're out of here." grabbing her paw and running as fast as possible towards Pounce.

Faye had picked off a few before she got an unclear glance at Blades. She wasn't sure if it was him or not but she held her fire...then she saw Leilani in her scope. She saw how young she was, and fighting in this war...She took a few steps back and lowered her rifle. "Affirmative..." she said kinda weakly "Good lord..." she said quietly.

Griff's hud flashed red warning him about his wound ,he ignored it and ran to another point this time he was close enough he could've been killed but he didn't,he nailed one last Alpha then stayed in cover taking a breather knowing it was over.

Archangel, not done with his rampage walked over to an Alpha that took a stray bullet, as it raised it's arm to use its power on him, Archangel used his suit's ability and quickly grabbed the Alphas wrist and placing his foot on the Alpha's chest began to pull the arm off the Alpha, within a few seconds and some help from his suit the arm was removed from it's owner. Archangel smiling down at the Alpha, with a blood caked face. He proceeded to stuff the arm in the Alpha's mouth then made his way towards Griff. "Still alive, good. Time to head back."

Griff looked up and said "Alright, one of them wounded me." He pointed at the piece of metal in his leg from a telekinesis Alpha. Griff pulled it out, the piece went out the back of his leg. Griff tried to get up but instead he collapsed onto the floor. He was in and out of consciousness and finally he blacked out.

Jackson nodded silently and closed his eyes and thought about the fire disappearing, a small amount of panic rising in his chest. The fire sputtered slightly and then disappated. He opened his eyes and smiles. "Hey! I did it." He shook his head and chuckled. "Well, so much for being normal. Not that I mind or anything."

Jaci grinned and hugged him. "You're a full alpha now! And a pyro like me none the less. Welcome to the family! It's so exci- and you're naked." She released him, finally realizing he wasn't wearing anything, her cheeks growing pink. "Let's um... Get you some clothes..."

Faye was still in shock from seeing someone as young as Leilani on the field. She felt herself entering a mild state of shock as she stumbled back a little and landed on her backside. "I...I...no, she looked like just a kid..."

Farica walked over to Faye and knealt down in front of her, the gold mirrored lenses of her helm seeming to study her. She then grabbed the front of Faye's armor and stood her up. "She is an alpha."

Griff slowly came out of blacking out he looked around and said over his comms" I just blacked out im wounded can somebody help me up." Griff took his helmet off and looked at all the bodies of the dead Alphas. He slowly started crawling leaving a blood trail to the monorail it was about 40yards away.

He blushed as he hugged her and squirmed slightly. "I like that idea of getting some clothes very much...."

Faye looked at Farica "I know it's just...I guess it just kinda screws with you seeing that kinda thing..." Faye brushed herself off and picked up her rifle "Maybe I just need to gather my thoughts...let's head back."

Archangel laughed at Griff trying to crawl his way back. Picking him up he boosted over to rejoin the group. "He's taken a none critical wound, all major arteries have been missed." Archangel leaned Griff up against a wall. "Oh and Faye, they're not kids. They're monsters hellbent on the downfall of society. You saw they didn't hesitate to kill. Why should you?"

"There is no going back." Farica said, entering a few commands into her tac-pad. "I've sent a request for engineers to come fix the rail. We will hold here."
Meri dropped down into the original cart and yanked her mag free of her gun. She loaded another round and put the gun on her mag-lock, then sat down on the floor again.

"Yeah, we have some clothes in the storage room... Just good eneough to cover you until we can find a shop with something more... Fitting. Oh, I'm so excited! Another pyro! Was that the only power that came through? I mean, you didnt freeze the walls or anything, right?" She rattled on as she walked him to the storage room. "That would be pretty cool. I mean, fire and ice. I have fire and healing..."

Once they were a few blocks away, Pounce held up a hand to halt. "The jeeps are all back at the train... Unless anyone has suggestions, we have to go on foot..."

"Trophy time." Archangel began to walk to each Alpha he felled, pulling out an incisors from each of them. After collecting them all, he began to pace he was restless. "We should be fortifying or something...not waiting on engineers."

"That was it... Was there supposed to be something else?" He asked tilting his head as he smiled and yawned slightly, covering his mouth. "Uhmmm... Where that storage room?"

"Right here." She said, stopping in front of a door. "But uh... That was it... For now. You'll be trained on how to use your powers more precisely, and how to do so without knocking yourself out... Or worse. I don't think you need my help in there, do you? If so... I mean, it would be a little rediculous. Ooh, I believe there's a couple extra leather jackets like the one I'm wearing in there. They're not just for girls... This one is, but those aren't fitted like this one."

Jackson chuckled and shook his head and stepped into the room, and came out a few moments wearing, cargo pants, a white shirt and boots. He smiles slightly and shook hishead. "This... Uhh... Doesn't exactly suit my style... Think I'll get a chance to get clothes like I had before?"

"Yeah, we'll get you more clothes..." Jaci said, hugging him again. "This time I can hug you without it being so awkward." She stepped back and grinned. "Sorry. I'm not trying to make you uncomfortable or anything. I'm just excited. So... Since the others aren't back from their supply raid, I guess i can take you to get new clothes... I mean, so long as we don't take too long. What do you say? Wanna go? Unless you want to rest..."

He chuckled and hugged her back. "Yeah, it's a lot less awkward this time and getting new clothes sounds fun. Although I don't really know anywhere around here that we could go, plus you should show me around!" He smiles and stuffed his paws in his pockets.

Griff thanked Archangel then he said " im glad that we surprised them, but one of then got me , happy im alive." He took his helmet off and examined the wound it wasn't that bad he knew it would heal. Griff looked around then he said to Farica " I was stupid to do that I could've killed myself , I'm sorry."

"See that it doesn't happen again." Farica said. "Learn from it. I will not loose one of you."

"Alright, let's go." Jaci said, walking back to the car. "I know a few Alpha friendly places... Not many are now, you know? And those that are friendly need our protection. Alpha sympathizers are to be executed publicly. Let it be known that those who support alphas are not to be tolerated. It's just wrong. We just want a future where we're not the monsters mothers tell their children about to make them eat their vegetables... You know? A future where we don't have to have children fighting alongside us."

Jackson nodded and followed her to the car. "Yeah... I can't imagine raising a kid in all this... It's not fair to make someone suffer for who... Or what they are... Or who they choose to side with..." He shook his head and sighed. "I don't want to run... Or fight... But I know we have to to keep ourselves alive."

"It's just a shame." Jaci sighed and got in the car, then started it. "If an alpha wants to have a child, they should be able to without fear of having the child killed." The way she spoke, it sounded as if she wished she could have a child. Maybe. "Anyway, we should probably talk about something less depressing. Um... What'd you do before this all began? I used to race out at one of the dirt tracks... Still have my car too. Couldn't fit more than one person in it though, so we're stuck with this slow thing."

He chuckled and shook his head. "I was in school. I earned a soccer scholarship... After all this happened... Turns out... My mom was an Alpha.... So they whisked her away... Dad and I ran. He tried go protect me. We kept running and eventually they... Well... Caught us... Killed my dad because he was a traitor for harboring me... And then I ended up in that cell and now I'm here..." His voice had gotten softer as he spoke, a small amount of pain filling up his voice as he looked at the floor of the car.

"And now we're back on the depressing subjects..." Jaci sighed and started driving. "I'll introduce you to my dad when the others get back from the raid. He likes to meet the new guys. And I'll show you my car too. It needs to get out and run a bit; keeps the engine running smoothly. I was a champion. Three years undefeated. I painted a trophy on the side of my car for every race I won. Ended up with around 90 trophies painted on it."

"That's awesome." He smiled and tapped his fingers on his knee. "Who's your dad...?" Jackson asked and looked at her. "Is he an Alpha too? If so what kind?"

Griff said "Alright I will try ." He got onto the seat and grabbed some gauze wrapping the wound up and then said" were the Alphas expecting it to be easy to raid us, they seemed surprised." Griff was puzzled at the thought, then he continued dressing the wound.

Faye shook her head and slapped herself. "Alright, i'm ready to dig in if need be commander." she checked her rifle and slammed a new magazine into it. She looked away as Archangel took trophies from dead Alphas. "Seems a tad extreme..." she said to herself.

Blades took a minute to think "I say we just carry on. What if we're being pursued, if so then backtracking would be a death sentence. We can steal some new rides later when the heat dies down a little." Leilani suddenly spoke up "If we need a more secure way to travel, we could try the underground waterways. It might take longer but it should be a lot safer."

Griff looked over at Faye and said "Hey, do want a drink of water you look awfully pale." He held out his canteen towards her. Griff said " your doing better then me this hurts bad." He pointed at the wound , he took a needle out and injected it relieving the pain.

"No doubt they thought we were going to be peacemakers." Meri said. "We don't think they'll make that mistake again."
"They will not." Farica conceded, nodding. "Nor will our fights against them be as easy again."

"Yeah. He's a telekenetic." Jaci said. "One of the strongest... Besides miss Silva. He was the one who got me started on racing. We worked on my car together; he was my crew-chief... When I turned 21, I actually had my first beer with him after a race. I think he'll like you. He has a very similar thing to your help everybody you can thing. It's a good thing to do, even if they're not so nice to you. That doesn't actually apply on the racetrack, though. I mean, it does to an extent, but after a certain point, it can get pretty nasty."

Pounce nodded, thinking. "They wouldn't know about the waterways... That sounds like a great plan." She walked over to Leilani and put a hand on her shoulder. "Sorry you had to go through that... How are you holding up?"

"Ahh..." He shook his head and smiled. "So what do you guys do other than raids and stuff?"

"That's about all we can do right now..." Jaci shrugged. "We raid supply lines and try to take over other FOBs. We train whenever we can, get better with our powers and such... So far we've managed to stay just ahead of the peacemakers... Barely. Add in rescuing alphas like you from the peacemakers, and There's not much room for anything else..."

"Hmm... Do the peacemakers have like a weakness that you've found yet? I mean, something you missed?" He looked out the window and ran through the menories of his two weeks in his cell.

"Well, they burn pretty easily." She said, shrugging. "I guess we would too, if we couldn't put out the fire with our minds... Pretty much all of our powers work against them... So yeah, I guess they have every weakness... Was that what you were asking?"

Griff looked at Farica and asked "I'm thinking about doing a recon mission just me maybe of course with your permission, my plan is to get under thier radar , get disguised and maybe find a couple things that are usefull then get back to base."

"Yeah... I don't think 'barely' getting by is going to do much anymore... I wonder how much stronger they're going to get... I mean.... Alphas can only use their power for so long at one time, right...?" He shook his head and sighed. "If there was any way we could get any info on those guys, it'd help out so much. Just think about it. But fighting them isn't just gonna help... I mean, just think, if there was any way we could look at how they train or just get into one of their labs... But they're so guarded..."

Faye nodded as she took the canteen and took a sip "Thanks um...Griff right? That helped a fair bit." handing the canteen back to him.
Leilani nodded as Pounce placed a hand on her shoulder "Thanks, i'm...i'm doing okay I suppose. I guess I just need to get used to this whole alpha thing a little more..."

"Request denied." Farica said. "You're wounded and in no shape to pursue."

"We break into them to save furs all the time..." Jaci said, pulling the car to a stop outside of a store. "I guess we could go into one for info. We've never really tried it. But you are right. They keep getting stronger, so it keeps getting harder to kill them. I don't know how long we'll be able to hold out... Um, well... We're here... Let's find you some clothes, shall we?"

"Don't we all..." Pounce muttered, turning back to what remained of her group. "Look, I don't know what those brutes on that monorail were, but I know they were bad news. We need to keep moving."

Jackson nodded. "Yeah... Sorry if I bothered you that by saying it... I'm just trying to think of ways we can stay ahead of them..." He waited for the car to stop before climbing out and letting out a big sigh. Good one, Jackson. The only person who tried to help you, you just insulted. Jackson shook his head and looked around, surveying the surroundings. "So... U-uhm... Where we going?"

Griff said " lets make a deal once I heal up maybe can I go?" He began writing notes about the battle again
Griff said to Faye " anytime, and yes I am Griff, pleased to meet you." Griff grabbed the canteen and continued to check up on his wound regularly

"I'll go, a messenger of Purity will be no match for them" With his evil grin it became evidently clear that he was not himself, that he had given into something inside of him. "I took no damage, and my guns..or lack there of won't arouse suspicion."

Griff replied to Archangel " I said recon so that means becoming the enemy and spying not killing, I would like to go as soon as I heal which shouldn't take long , If questioned about my leg I could say it was construction accident." He thought for a while and jotted more notes down about battles.

"Ha construction in this place right" He walked over to Griff getting right in his face. "Take a look around you, the damned ones control this place, a place that nobody cares for anymore. Now sit down" With his final words he quickly punched Griff's wound and went to clean up the place by tossing the bodies away.

Faye looked around "Honestly guys, I think we need to stop and think a minute, maybe reformulate our strategy." Faye took a minute to check Navi on her Visor, setting it to personal information "Griff's injured, Navi's saying i'm a bit dehydrated so maybe we should stop and rest a bit...a tired warrior is soon a dead one after all, right?"
Leilani looked down "Yeah...but it seemed like one of them was starting to hesitate...lioke...it was weird. It was only a glance but still." she looked around "We can slip into the waterways now if you're worried about being caught." Blades nodded at Leilani's plan "Pounce, it might be best to take a lower profile route from now on."

"To rehydrate and get some rest." Farica said by way of affirmation. "There is a water tank in the next car back."

"No, you didnt bother me at all..." Jaci said. "Somebody should've seen it sooner. Or may ape they did and I was the one who didnt... Either way, it was good to point it out. Ooh... This is the place with the soda fountain up front... They have the best sodas around. Something with how they have the mixture. I bet it's been a while since you've had a soda, huh? How about I get you one? On me."

"Alright." Pounce said. "To the sewers then... Ugh..." She walked over to a fire escape and sent the ladder down. "You follow me, little one." She started down, popping a manhole cover open on her way down, using her powers.

He chuckled and nodded. "Yeah... It has. " he then patted his belly with a paw, before lifting his arms above his head and stretching. "Meh... Honestly, it feel amazing being out of that room... Although.... I'm sure I gained a bit of weight... He said looking at him self in the reflection of the glass, before looking back at Jaci and smiling slightly.

Griff didn't even flinch when he punched his wound he simply got up walked out and sat down outside the monorail and threw a couple rocks, he saw the blood stained ground from the Alpha's . Griff took his rifle out and scanned the area for movement.

Archangel gathered up the final two remaining bodies. "A warning we shall leave them, a warning of Purity and Wrath." limbs could be heard being torn from their owners, with the occasional squelch of internal organs. Archangels final product was a grotesque cross. He bowed infront of in and crossed himself. "They shall know we do the Divine work."

"Don't worry." Jaci said. "You'll lose it again pretty quick with our team... Family... Thing... Yeah. We do a lot of work during combat; probably more than you think. There is a break every now and then... Like later will be... When I get to show you my car and introduce you to my dad and all... But for now, start looking for clothes. I'll watch... That could sound... Um... I'll go up to the front and get the sodas."

Faye gave Archangel's 'creation' a disgusted glance "That's disgusting..." she said under her breath as she headed for the back car and got some water.
"Alright, i'll follow you Pounce. Let's just get back home, I need to rest a little." Leilani answered as they went down into the waterway. Blades followed close behind them as they went down the manhole. "Think we'll ever see the day where we can just walk the streets as...people once again?"

Griff watched Archangel and winced at the noises. He couldn't take it he went inside and sat down he asked Farica "are we heading back because I've had enough for one day ." He slowly started to doze off .( also when Griff might turn into an Alpha (not on purpose) he inherits Cyrokonesis and Telekinesis from his mother.)

Jackson smiled and let out a small snicker. "You'll watch?" He asked, looking back at her, and started looking through the clothes, walking over to Jack a few moments later, carrying a new hoodie, a few jeans, and a few shirts.

"We will go to FOB Delta and receive further orders fom the higher-ups." Farica said, sitting down against a wall. "There will be a moment of rest; just enough time to recharge."

"I honestly hope so, kid." Pounce replied, starting down into the sewers as soon as she touched the ground. "Though I'm not sure ill live to see it." She dropped to the bottom to help Leilani down, holding out a hand to lower her the last few feet where the ladder was missing.

"You know what i meant." Jaci said, cheeks turning pink again. She sat two sodas on the checkout-counter and gestured for Jackson to follow suit with his clothes. "I'll get it. This time. When we get back, you can change, and if everyone else's back, I can introduce you to my dad. If not, we can go straight to my car. I might even let you take it for a spin... But I'm deffinately going to drive it. It's been a pretty long time since I ran it last..."

Griff limped over to Faye and said " do you think he's messed up in the head or went threw something?" He got his canteen out and filled it up taking a long drink, he wiped the rest of the water of his mouth then said "I'm scared he might do something to me or maybe hurt me again."

"I don't know..." Meri said, jumping to her feet and examining the cross. "We think it's a pretty good omen." She shrugged and boosted up to a lamp post, grabbing it by her feet, then swung under it so she was hanging like a typical bat. She started swinging back and forth slightly, humming her tune again.

Jackson nodded and smiled. "Thanks... That sounds great..." he looked around the store and smuled. "There's hardly anyone in here... How come?"

"We are ready when you are. Farica." He looked over at Meri offering up to her a genuine smile.

Griff said " that sounds great and maybe some proper medical care for this, and a rest sounds good." He sat back down and slung his rifle over his shoulder, then thought about surprising Meri by making a belt fed mod for her smg like she wanted to have. He began falling asleep after this thought.

A monorail was pulling up on the other side of the break, this one with a crane holding an extra piece of rail. Several engineers got out and started repairing the rail.
"We will leave whenever they finish." Farica said, standing again and moving to the control panel. "It won't be long."

"It's a store that supports alphas." Jaci explained as she paid and the cashier bagged the clothes. "So, the only furs that come in here are alphas. Right now, most of the other alphas are on a raid, so there aren't many out and about. When they get back from the raid, there'll be more furs around. Oh, on your new clothes, if you want to set your arms on fire without burning your clothes- and it might take a bit of concentration the first few times- focus the fire outside of your clothing. It's just an aesthetic thing, but still."

Faye looked at Meri and Archangel "He's for sure just well...he just ain't right. If he ever offers to make one for me i'll tell him absolutely not...i'll stich to the old wooden crosses thank you very much." she sighed "Just stick close, we're the sane ones here. They flock together, so must we."
"I don't know if i'll live to see it...I just...I mean we never asked for this." Leilani answered. "I just wanted to be an everyday person, graduate from school, settle down with some nice boy, have a life...I mean I suppose this is a life but...ain't the best one I think..." Leilani seemed a little downtrodden. Blades merely sulked, thinking back to when he discovered his abilities...having to leave his life and friends behind him.

Griff replied back to Faye"Yep I guess you are right, wooden crosses are better than a very gory one, stay strong and you will live threw this war." He smiled " just gets some rest on the way there." He fell back asleep soon after

Jackson nodded and smiled. "Are there any good places to run around here? Cause I think I wanna go on a run later... Wanna join me?" He asked and tabbed his paws on his thighs.

Griff was tired of sleeping so he began writing notes again about Alphas and thier weakness,tactics, and thier weapons if they had any.

"Hey... It'll be fine." Pounce said, lighting a small fire above and behind her head for light as she started walking towards the FOB. "We'll make it through this. We just have to keep going. The instant we stop, we lose."

"Yeah, that sounds good." Jaci said as she got in the car. "Though I'm not the fastest... Not very tall, so my stride is long. Although, I can go for a long ways. The park for one is a good place to run, but there's also the river. It has sidewalk along it, so it's a pretty good place... The sidewalk along the streets is usually pretty empty too... Then there's the base itself... We have plenty of choices..."

Soon, the engineers finished up their work, and their car went on its way, no doubt back to a service station. "Archangel, Meri, load up." Farica ordered, waking Meri, who almost fell. Meri flailed her wings to stabilize herself, then boosted forward to swing herself up onto the top of the lamp-post. From There, she jumped down into the car.

Griff asked " how close are we now to the FOB?" he got up slowly to grab his stuff and made sure he didn't misplace anything.( I have to go to school cya at 4:00)

"Well, that sounds awesome!" He said as he climbed into the car and laid against the window, yawning slightly. "Hmmm.... I also might try to find a soccer ball to kick around..."

"I think there might be one or two at the base..." Jaci said. "Or maybe not... I don't know, honestly... But I'm sure we can arrange something. If we don't have one, we could make something similar to one... Maybe that girl... Um... Leilani's her name... Maybe she would want to play too. Might be a good thing for everybody. Get in a bit of exercise and have fun during off time, you know?"

"Yeah, it might be good. It might also help people relax a bit. Ya know... Take the tension off of... Ya know... " he sighed and looked at the passing horizon. "Do you think we ever have a chance to live a normal life? Like... Have a nice family and all that?"

As soon as Archangel was aboard, Farica entered a command and started the monorail on its path again. "We lack about 15 minutes... Assuming there are no more delays."

"Well, do you mean we as in the alphas or we as in... Um..." Jaci started. "Never mind, that was a bad mistake to make. Of course you meant the alphas as a whole. I certainly hope we can. I mark, it's what we're fighting for. If we go through this hell for nothing... I don't know... It would almost be as if the universe itself were attempting to snuff us out."

(We're slipping the sewer travel.)
The manhole cover in the middle of the alpha controlled FOB flew skyward as if there were an explosion underneath, landing edge down in the ground and sticking. A few seconds later, Pounce climbed out and knealt down to help Leilani out behind her.

Griff was happy that it was only 15 minutes he went over to Meri and asked " You get any Alphas in the firefight? I got 4 but in return got injured." He frowned , but he was still happy.

"We as in...?"he asked, looking at her head head tilted to the side, biting his tongue slightly. "I mean... What did you think I meant?"
-
"Nothing." Jaci said. "I knew what you meant. I was just... Thinking out loud. Just ignore what I said before. It has no meaning whatsoever, and should never be spoken of again. The base is just up ahead. I'll get you settled into the barracks, then you can change and me the others... If they're back."

"We got three." She said happily. "They are puddles now."

Griff smiled " that's pretty good hopefully our number rises to higher expectations." Griff was happy this time around and was happy to have somebody to talk to after a hard day.

"Weak numbers the both of you...I expected better, but obviously we expected too much." Archangel counted out the teeth he pulled huffed to himself then sat down. Falling into a trance like state.

"Uh... Okay...?" He asked tilting his head. "Lead the way!" He said and bounced on his heels, looking around. "Say you think I have time for a nap before they get back?"

Griff replied back to Archangel" Hey, any number is good 4 less are fighting, so just one could make a difference im happy you got more." He looked out the window and watched the city fly by. He said to Meri " When we get there I can make that belt fed mod for you if you want, im pretty good with things like that." He smiled then continued to look out the window

Faye was silent for the ride as she put six notches in the side of her rifle. "Six more for the chronicle of my kills...or sins, depending on who you ask I suppose." she said quietly.
Leilani grabbed Pounce's paw as she climbed out of the waterway, Blades following close behind. Leilani looked to Pounce "Well i'll be, that actually worked pretty well. Not another soul on our way through."

"Sure." Meri said. "That sounds pretty good. Besides, the angel only killed seven."

"I wouldn't count it as more than an amazing stroke of luck." Pounce said, deciding not to mention the dead alphas she had seen on the edges of her vision, each one with bullet holes in them. She started helping others up out of the manhole, and was putting the cover back in place just as Jaci and Jackson pulled up. She then concentrated a blast of blue flame around the edges, welding it shut.

"It would appear not." Jaci said, hitting the brakes and sliding the car to a stop. "Everyone seems to be back. Though you should be able to change into your new clothes after I introduce you to our leaders." She noticed Pounce welding the cover back. "Hey, you know how I said Miss Silva is the strongest Telekenetic around here? Well, I didnt mention I'm the strongest Pyro. My healing isn't the strongest, but I can do some awesome stuff with fire." She shut off the car and got out, headed towards Pounce as she was standing up. "Miss Silva... What happened? Surely, This isn't everybody?"
"There was some new type of soldier on that monorail." Pounce replied. "Heavily armored. They just shrugged off our attacks and dropped our guys like flies."

Jackson climbed out of the car and looked at the group. "You're the strongest pyro... Remind me robot pick a fight with you..." He said a small smile rising to his face. "That's Miss Silva...?"

"Yes." Jaci said. "Miss Silva, this is Jackson. Jackson, Miss Silva."
"Please... Call me Pounce. I prefer to be closer to equals around here. I've tried to explain that to Jaci here countless times." Pounce said, dusting off her knees and holding out a hand. "Nice to meet you. I guess the rescue went fairly smoothly, then?"

He shook her paw and nodded. "Yes Ma'am." He took his free paw and tucked his hair behind his ear. "I don't know what else to say... So.... Uhhh...."

"That's alright. Go ahead and get settled in. We can talk more later." Pounce said. "I'm sure Jaci here has plenty to say anyways."
"Wait..." Jaci said. "You said you lost a lot of people, right. My dad... Is he... Alright?"
"Jaci, look... I'm sorry, he..." Pounce sighed and shook her head. "He got hit and fell... 12 stories... He didnt make it."
Jaci simply started at Pounce, speechless for the first time since Jackson had met her, a single tear running down her cheek. After a very uncomfortable moment, she turned and took off running, disappearing into a garage. A ver large engine could be heard firing up inside; from the noise level, likely straight-piped; no mufflers. The door on the garage started opening slowly.
"Oh boy..." Pounce muttered. "Look, I hate to hand this to you, but could you keep an eye on her? I have some things to take care of..." About the time she finished speaking, the car in the garage revved and took off, tires squeeling until they hit the dirt, then throwing up rooster tails of dirt. It flew through the compound's main gate, then down the street, engine roaring. "When she gets back, that is..."

Jackson looked at the ground and sighed. "Any idea where she went...?" He asked gesturing toward the main gate, his voice full of worry and slight panic. "It may sound bad, but people do bad things when they're upset.... And alone..."

"I know." Pounce said. "I almost shot myself. I don't know where she's going, though... That's beyond me."

He sighed and shook his head. "She might be at the racetrack... Can I borrow a jeep?" He asked and bounced on his heels, impatiently.

"That's a very good possibility." Pounce said. "The car over there always has the keys in it."
-
"Thanks!" He said and turned away and ran toward the car and climbed in before shortly driving off in the direction of the track. Please be there... Please be there.

Her car was sitting at the finish line, rumbling like thunder, and she was sitting on the hood, her helmet beside her. As he pulled up, not loud enough to hear over her car, she stood and put her helmet back on, then started to get into her car again, not knowing he was there.

"Jaci!!!" He yelled as r attempted to be louder than her car. "Come on!" He yelled as he climbed out of his car and tried to get her to notice him.

Jaci looked up as she climbed in the window, and froze, seeing Jackson standing there. After simply staring at him for a moment, she got back into the car and revved a few times, then punched it, starting around the track at extreme speeds. Though he couldn't see it, and thus the purpose of doing this, she had tears streaming down her face. dad always said not to let them see you cry.

Jackson leaned against the side of the car and sighed. "Jaci. Come on... Stop the car..."

Jaci drove faster and faster, until she couldn't see from the tears, the. Finally brought the car to a slow stop and shut it off, setting her head against the steering wheel and continuing to cry.

Jackson jogged over to the car and tapped on the window. "Jaci... It's okay.... I promise... It'll be okay."

Jaci forced the tears to stop before climbing out of the car and taking her helmet off. She sat her helmet to the side and, letting out a pained cry, let loose a giant pillar of fire, extending well over 150' into the sky. Once it dissipated, leaving the air hit and dry and the ground charred, she collapsed to her knees, spent. "I'll burn them all... Drag them all to hell personally if I have to."

Jackson walked over and put his hand on her shoulder. "Jaci... I know... Do you really hate them that much...? I know it hurts... I know... Just try to think rationally okay? I mean, you want revenge... "He squatted down I from of her and sighed.

"I want to see them burn." Jaci said quietly. "They killed him..."

"I know..." He whispered. "I do too. I know. I can't stand them. I know it hurts... Just try talking it out..." He smiled slightly, his face showing sympathy and another emotion... Pain...?

"Talking changes nothing." She said, standing, then swaying in place for a moment. "Get off of the track. I just want to drive right now."

He grabber her shoulder slightly. "No... Not when you're swaying..." He said firmly. "I'm not moving."

"Let me go." She said, definitely not in her normal talkative mood. "Before I make you."

"No." He said and shook his head. "I won't. You're angry and upset and you just like... Exhausted yourself with that fire thing. So just think. Think about it.... What happens if you pass out?"

Griff looked around knowing that they were nearing the FOB he began taking apart his rifle and cleaning it. Once he was finished he asked Farica " Do you have family here?you never seemed to talk that much." He was sharpening his knife.(I decided Griff isn't going to be injured to much work focusing on this. I'm also Camping again and won't be on until Sunday morning I will try to catch up)

"I said let me go!" Jaci attempted to push him away, but only succeeded in making herself stumble and almost fall.

The gold mirrored lenses of Farica's helm locked onto Griff. She sighed, but otherwise gave no indication of answering his question. "Keep your mind on the mission."

Griff sighed and said " Yes ma'am." He was bored and continued looking out the window (the camp has Wi-Fi so yay I still get to rp :) )

He quickly grabbed both of her shoulders and stared at her. "Stop! It sucks. I know! It hurts! I know! Now quit before you hurt yourself!" He said, staring right into her eyes

She sat there for a moment, weakly struggling against his grasp while she fought to keep the tears at bay. After a while, though, she couldn't hold them back any longer. She leaned limply into his embrace, her head on his shoulder, and sobbed.

He sighed and patted her back. "I know... It's okay..... I promise..."
-
After a few minutes, Jaci had cried herself out. She righted herself and wiped her eyes. "Can you let me go now? I'm just going to sit down."

Jackson nodded and stepped back. "He leaned against the front of the jeep and looked at her. "Do you want me to leave you alone now...?" He asked softly, pointing to the driver's seat of the jeep. "Just say the word and I'll head back."

She sighed as she sat on the hood of her car, then shook her head. "No. Not yet. I'd rather you sat with me for a bit... Just uh... This doesn't mean anything, alright?" There was a hint of something in her voice, as if maybe she wanted him sitting with her to mean something.

He nodded silently, not saying anything for a few moments. Jackson looked around and smiled slightly, walking over to her, before saying something to try to cheer her up a bit. "You used to race here?"

She nodded. "Before all this... Before alphas were such a big problem." She put air quotes around problem. "Truth be told, I miss it. Twelve cars per group packed onto this small dirt track... Each car running well over 900 horse power... It was beautifully loud."

"That sounds like... Difficult... I don't know. I mean, you said you were a great racer..." He smiled and put his paws in his pockets. "Hmm... I'd love to see you race one day..."

"I'd love to race again some day." Jaci said, standing and walking to the jeep. She found a cooler and grabbed a few bottles of tea, then returned to the hood of her car, holding one out to Jackson. "As wierd as it may seem, I love all that raw power packed into this one place. There's no feeling quite like it."

"That sounds like a lot of fun! But I couldn't do that. I don't even know how all that works... I'll stick with soccer." He said and chuckled. He tucked his hair behind his ear and took the tea and took a small sip.

Griff pulled his phone out and called his mom she answered "Hello?" Griff was happy to hear her voice " Hey, mom it's me Griff." She replied " Are you enjoying the program." He said " Yes I just had a question was I born with the gene just curious?" She replied grimly " yes..... you were and I don't want you to get hurt by telling somebody." Griff hung up slowly wide eyed . He was shaking all over. He put the phone away and still remained in a very nervous state.

When Griff looked up, Farica was staring at him, her gold lenses emotionless, and her hand on her pistol. As she stood there, watching him, the monorail slowly came to a stop. They were at their destination. "If you turn and betray this team, I will personally put a round through your skull. Understood?"

"Hang on just a second." Jaci said, standing and moving to the grass inner circle of the track. "Stay there." She held out her hands and stood there for a moment, the grass around her turning brown slowly. After it was all dead, she returned to him, noticibly less exhausted, though still not perfectly fine. "You get to be a strong enough healer, you can transfer life force from plants and insects in a certain radius around you. I just transferred it to me."

"Ahh..." He looked around and smiles. "Alright...? I didn't know that was possible." He looked around the track one more, a little uneasy about it being empty. He shifted from foot to foot before slowly moving closer to the drivers side of the jeep.

Griff nodded and said "I will try but i can't promise anything." He grabbed his stuff and walked out and into the FOB . He found the showers and took his armor and clothes off. Once he was done, he put his armor on along with clean clothes. Griff decided he would go on a walk he grabbed his rifle opened a door to the outside and started walking till he was a good 5 miles away. He saw the race track far away were heard of races. He thought he might check it out so he started jogging towards that way.

"Relax, Jackson." Jaci said, taking a long drink of her tea. "I won't steal your energy. I already gave you mine, I'm not just going to take it back. Least ways, not without your permission. Besides, Im fine now."

"I guess since Griff left without permission, can we go?" Meri asked Farica, who promptly nodded. Meri grinned and walked off happily towards the showers. "We are going to take such a long shower..."

Archangel looked around observing his surroundings. Finding nothing interesting he decided to immediately head to the barracks and catch some Zs

Griff reached the race track in and hour he climbed till he reached the very top of the bleachers he blended in and took his rifle out activating thermals. He spotted 2 Alphas as they appeared brighter than normal on his thermals. He activated his cloak and ran down silently just as it ran out he landed on the track he fired a round off on accident when he hit the track giving him away

Jackson whirled around toward the sound and froze. "Jaci... What do we do..." He whispered softly. Part of him told him to run, while the other told him to stay and stand his ground. "W-who's there?!" Jackson called out, his hands shaking slightly. What do I do? Do I run? Do I stay here? He quickly surveyed the area for a method of escape if he needed it, and slo searched for the intruder who had snuck up on them, again trying to figure out a plan of action. A plan of attack, as one would say. "Come on, Jackson... Think..." He whispered, and gritted his teeth.

Jaci whirled to face their percieved attacker, blue flames rippling outward along her clothes and sticking in place. Seeing his armor sparked the thought of her father's killer being heavily armored, as Pounce had said. "Get behind me, Jackson." She held a hand up, forming a blue fireball in it. "You are going to suffer..."

Jackson shook his head and stepped behind Jaci. "Don't make him suffer..." Jackson whispered and closed his eyes, before stepping in between them. "Jaci... Don't do it... What if he has a family?"

"Maybe he should've though about that before." Jaci said, the flames around her flickering an even hotter blue. "Now, I said move!" She stomped to emphasize her point, and sent out a burst of fire in a ring from her feet.

Jackson shook his head and crossed his arms. "No! Let this one go!" He said, a small amount of fear rising in his voice.

Archangel bolted up right at the sound of the shot, licking his lips. "Death is in the air...The question is who and what.." Archangel got out of bed shrugging his shoulders. He began to take stock of who was at the base. "Griff...the fool." He began to make his way to the mess hall ignoring his missing ally.

Griff dodged as the flames flew by he yelled "Hey, i mean no harm i had jumped an fired accidentally i'm coming out now i wont fire and you wont fire alright." he got up slowly raising his paws and started walking slowly towards them. He slung his rifle over his shoulder and said "alright don't kill i'm just walking no tricks." he kept walking slowly

Jaci closed her hand around the fireball she had made, snuffing it out, but kept the fire covering her burning. Couldn't quite bring herself to kill him when he was not a threat, as much as she might want to. "Get down, don't het any closer."

Jackson turned around and turned to face Griff. "What do you want to do wit him?" Jackson asked, looking at Jaci, slightly surprised by her not attacking him. Jackson have another quick look around before stepping out of the way and moving beside Jaci again.

Griff got down on his stomach and said "Alright, whatever you say to do." he tossed his rifle aside along with his other things . he stayed were he was.

"Get his weapons." Jaci said, glancing at Jackson. She walked over to the jeep and started digging though the glove-box. It was a peacemaker jeep originally, so it didnt take long to find what she was looking for. She returned to Griff with a pair of handcuffs. "Hands behind your back."

Jackson nodded silently and picked up the weapons and set them in the jeep, asking a quick question as he did so. "Jaci... Are we taking him back with us...?" After he put the weapons in the keep he walked bac over I her and looked down at Griff.

Griff nodded he said " oh yeah i forgot." he pulled the knife out of his boot and tossed it aside then put his hands behind his back

"You're lucky I won't kill an unarmed man." Jaci muttered as she cuffed Griff she tapped on his armor thoughtfully. "This armor might prove difficult to kill you through, though... Get up, and get in the jeep."

Griff walked over to the jeep and got in the back saying " I'm might be unarmed but my hand-to-hand combat proves challenging against others, I'm a fur not a man but yes as you could tell i'm a male." he sat down and thought what the hell i am doing right now. He looked around then just sat back down.

"Look, smart-alek" she snarled, pressing her elbow into his throat where there was a gap in his armor. "I can cook you alive in that armor, whether your hand to hand is challenging or not." She pushed off of his throat with her elbow. "Just give me an excuse."

Jackson climbed into the jeep and looked back at Jaci. "What're you going I do about your car?"
-
"I'm going to drive it." Jaci replied, walking to her car and picking up her helmet. "Like I said, I'm fine now."

Griff smirked " Now don't kill me not that it would matter, I sadly I inherited the ." Griff stopped in mid-sentence and didnt say anymore

"Oh, shut up!" Jaci snapped, blasting a fireball at him. It splashed harmlessly across his helmet, a bit like a paintball, but he could still feel the heat from it. She put her racing helmet on and started to climb into her car.

"I'll meet you back there then." He climbed into the jeep and drove off toward the base. Occasionally glancing back to Griff to make sure he wasn't trying anything

Griff looked outside as they were driving he said to Jackson " Hey, were are you taking me?" Griff was watching the road

"Somewhere... But it's none of your business." He stated and turned toward the base, pulling into the main gate a little while later.

Griff sighed and knew they were either going to turn him into an Alpha or he was going to be a prisoner . He watched as they pulled in.

Jackson climbed out of the car and walked to the other side before pulling Griff out of the jeep and yelling out "Pounce!"

Griff had no problem getting out on his own he got up slid his legs out and stood there. He thought great im about to meet my fate

"Are you going to say anything...?" Jackson asked as he stood behind Griff and waited for Pounce.

Griff simply looked at him and turned away staying in one place

Jackson sighed and shook his head. "I have no idea where to put you... So we're just going to stand here and wait."

Griff said "well waiting shouldn't be a problem." He sat down leaning his head on the tire.

"Oh, you do talk." He sighed. "What were you doing at the racetrack?"

Griff looked over "I was just taking a walk ,after we beat back the Alphas that attacked the train I saw the race track I never been before so I climbed up to the bleachers." He sighed " I had you in my sights but I didn't pull the trigger didn't know why, I've killed enemies before so before you know it I'm here." He layed his head back down and waited

"What is your problem with us? What did we EVER do to you?" He muttered softly and leaned against the side of the jeep.

Griff looked over " They killed my father that's what I'm fighting for him!!" He looked down " now if I die I come back as one of you im cursed with that gene." He slumped back down

He growled slightly, and picked Griff up by the armor and pinned him to the side of the truck. "If you're cursed with that gene then why are you fighting against us?!" He then shook his head and dropped Griff and stepped back.

He stood up and said " I just now found out and I'm fighting cause I chose to I'd be happy if you didn't throw me like your own personal punching bag." He remained standing and walked over to wall and sat down.

He shook his head and sighed, before looking at the ground. "Did you ever... For even a second and think about what you're doing? Whose life you might be ruining?"

Griff looked up "If you keep thinking like that you won't last a minute in a war, the enemy kills some of us we kill some of them." He found a Bobby pin on ground and managed to unlock his cuffs . Griff walked over and said "You can have these back." Giving Jackson the cuffs

Griff's armor stiffened up as he handed the cuffs over, and a white she-wolf could be seen approaching them, her hand held out; no doubt the cause of his forced lockdown. She was holding him in place with telekenesis. As she grew nearer, the cuffs floated out of his hand and locked down on his wrists once more, then she released him. "You're one of those brutes that killed all my men..." She observed calmly. "What're you doing here? I have no doubt you could've killed Jackson here and left, so why didnt you?"

Jaci remained at the track for a while, restlessly running laps. Once she hit about the halfway mark on her fuel, which didnt take long as big as her engine was, she headed home. Her car rolled into the compound slowly as Pounce arrived at Griff and Jackson, rumbling like an earthquake. She pulled carefully into her garage, got out, and started adding some modifications to her car, focusing fire from her fingertips to weld or cut.

Griff looked over and said " What you mean by is i was doing my orders and protecting the cargo, i only killed 4 i happened to stumble upon them i gave myself up on my own not wanting to kill them which i could've." He was still standing there facing towards her. He said " i actually don't know why I'm still here." he watched everything play out.

"I know very well you could've." Pounce said. "I know your type... I was your type... An unturned Alpha fighting against those you don't yet realize are your brothers... I pity you, really. Don't think you can fight your way out of this though. I was special forces. You probably don't have much more training than a peacemaker."

Griff looked at her "You really think that, if you want to know what these soldiers are there are only 5 of us elite-of the-elite soldiers along with others and why else would we wipe out your rag-tag fighters like their dust in the wind." he stopped talking and went back to leaning against the jeep

Jackson froze and shook his head in confusion as he watched th two go bac and forth.

Griff sighed " My question why haven't you killed me yet, I'm right here your enemy so why don't you?" Griff was still leaning against the jeep

"Because." Pounce replied. "Like I said earlier, you're an unturned alpha, and you don't yet realize you're fighting for the wrong team. Jaci! No, I'm not going to kill you... At least, not right now... I'll give you a choice. I can turn you, and you can have your freedom, or you can have death... Your choice."
Jaci jogged over, looking griff up and down. "Yeah?"

Jackson looked at Jaci and smiled. "Welcome back!" He said and looked around again.

Jaci simply glared at Jackson, aparrantly not happy Pounce was giving Griff a choice. If it were up to her, griff would be hanged, along with his squad-mates.

All the while back at base, Faye had showered and eaten and was taking a minute in her quarters. She thought back to the previous mission when she saw Leilani and who could have been her old friend in her scope...on the alpha side. "Who really are the monsters in this fight?" she asked herself.
Leilani had gone back to her room to catch up on some sleep while Blades was outside the base scanning the horizon for anything suspicious. "Don't we all just want a normal life...why can't we just have that?"

Jackson put his paws up innocently.

Griff sighed and said " And if I do turn I can't go back they will know I turned and I will be killed." He thought about it " I will fight on your side second chance new life, alright... I'm going to go with turning." He got up ready to feel his worst ( Griff inherits Cyrokonesis and Telekinesis from his mother)

"Good." Pounce said, the handcuffs clicking open. "Welcome to your new family. Jaci, take him and activate him."
"Fine." Jaci sighed and motioned towards the con-ex box on the other side of the compound. "Come on. Sorry, Jackson... I didnt mean to seem rude..."

Jackson nodded and followed behind Jaci, bouncing on his feet.

Griff his helmet off and sat it down. He nervously walked over and followed and asked " How does this exactly work again?" His brown eyes very wide and scared.

"First..." Jaci said, whirling to face him when they got there. She grabbed him by his chest-plate and held just enough pressure on him for him to know she was serious. "You tell me something. In that raid... On the monorail... There would've been a lynx. Black and green markings, a little taller than me... He was killed. Did you kill him? I swear to god if you say you didnt and I find out you did... You will be so much worse off..."
"How old is Leilani now?" Pounce asked Blades offhandedly, remembering he had mentioned the girl's birthday.

Griff looked at her straight in the eyes " No, I killed 2 foxes and the other 2 were canines I happened to know cause I slit both of thier throats." He looked away a little ashamed at what he said.

Blades sighed "Sixteen...Leilani just turned sixteen." he looked off into the night "We may not see the day we're accepted like everyone else...but I sure hope she does."

Jaci nodded and popped the latches holding his chest plate on. The piece of armor came off and she sat it to the side, then grabbed the shotgun. "I am not exactly proud to call you my brother... But I will not try to kill you... After this..." She leveled the gun at his chest and quickly pulled the trigger.
Pounce nodded. "I hope she does... Even if only one alpha makes it through this, the gene will continue... Hey, uh..." She dug a $100 bill out of her pocket and handed it to him. "Take her out for super or something... My treat. 16's a big one."

As Farica sat in her office, her mask off for the first time in hours, a readout scrolled across her tac pad; new orders from command. She made a few simple gestures and read through them, then kicked back. This was a big order, even for them, and she decided to let her crew rest up a bit longer before they went after it; afterall, it didnt have an exact time this needed to be done.

Griff let out a small yelp before the darkness closed in in his mind he was saying, I just died. Then the darkness closed in and everything went black

Jaci quickly healed Griff as soon as his pulse stopped, using her own personal energy to save him, much as she had Jackson. She finished and slumped over, visibly exhausted. "Jackson... Would you put him in the trailer? I'm tired. I also find you strangely attractive. Which is strange because I'm a feline and you're a canine... Our species aren't known for getting along..." She was rambling, her exhaustion making her loose her control and just say whatever came to mind.

Blades smiled and nodded taking the $100. "Alright, not a problem Pounce. Where'd be safe to go? I wanna make sure her sixteenth's special but only if she's safe. I'd never forgive myself if anything befell her..."

"I know..." Pounce said. "It would just seem wrong... Well, most places around here are pretty safe... Not the fanciest for the most part, though... I would imagine she likes fish, right? Might try Tara's..."

Griff slowly came out of the darkness his vision was blurred He said "What happened?" Griff was very dazed and was feeling differnt

"Yeah, Leilani really loves her fish." Blades answered. "I'll take her to Tara's probably, then maybe buy her something special. Thanks Pounce, she'll really appreciate this."

"No problem." Pounce said, smiling. "You'd beat get going soon though, you big teddy bear. Oh, one last thing..." She pulled out some keys from her pocket and tossed them to him. "You probably don't want to take a peacemaker jeep, huh? Those are for that old Ford Falcon. It's in pretty good condition, and you know Jaci... It runs as good as it looks."

"Thank ya much Pounce. I'll make sure we're back before dark." Blades answered "Jaci always does good at keeping up the vehicles. I mean I remember when I first came here, my LeBaron had almost no brake fluid, the engine was knocking and she was banged up to all hell but Jaci got ol' Marilyn running like a charm again."

After a while longer Archangel burst into Farica's office. Stretching his fingers and rotation his hands in circles cause every little joint to pop. "We feel like we should head out soon. Griff's been missing for a while.....we want to kill him..."

"Yeah... The glass packs might've been a bit overboard, but... She's a good girl, and a good mechanic." Pounce replied. "Shame about her father, though. Look, you two have fun... We'll take care of the new guy, get some things settled... Shouldn't be too much more needs to be done..."

Farica glared at him and glanced at her mask. The reason she wore it was fairly aparrantly now; the left half of her muzzle was burnt into a terrible sneer and the burn wrapped around, over the bridge of her muzzle, just under her right eye and back around the back of her head, ending at the tip of her left ear. "That was locked... And you are required to knock..."

"Jas might be, but we do not play to your rules, we serve a higher purpose." As he stood there Archangel's hands became more twitch and looked as if typing something out. "Don't fret we know what it's like to be scarred in battle, but I digress. Let us hunt for the traitor. We can bring him in or kill him....killing him would be best, easiest, and not to mention the most fun."

"Do we know for a fact he is a traitor?" Farica asked calmly, grabbing her mask and taking her feet off of the desk. If she had taken her gloves off, he would've seen the wedding ring fused into her finger; the doctors had said it wasn't doing any harm where it was, so she'd had them leave it.

"On the train, we caught mention of him being dormant. We'd stake our immortal souls, he has gone to seek solace and redemption in the embrace of our enemy." His body slowly began to calms itself, the twitching becoming less and less. "The only dilemma is four of us, plus if he's been taken in they very well could have information on our equipment."

Farica thought for a moment, then put her helm on, sighing in relief as the specialized cooling gel covered her burns. "Gather the others. Let's hope you're wrong."

Never" With that he shot her a disturbing smirk and boosted through out the facility first finding and informing Meri "Ready your self O Daughter of a Shattered Mind, we hunt" He shot her the same twisted smirk before dashing off to inform their final companion, upon finding her he relayed the same message "We hunt for Griff" and made his way back to Farica

Jackson nodded before looked at Jaci, slightly confused. "I'm what...? Nevermind..." He looked at Griff and gestured for him to get up before guiding him to the bunker and shaking his head. "Sorry. Things are about to get a little crazy..."

Griff sighed "Great more crazy." He entered and stood there waiting for it to happen (got to go to school cya at 2:30 early out)

Blades nodded "Alright, like I said we'll be back before it gets much later." he headed back into the base and woke up Leilani "Hey...get up birthday girl. we're gonna go do something special for today." Leilani got up and smiled a bit "Okay, but what are we gonna do?" Blades led her to the old Ford Falcon "We're going to Tara's to eat and then i'm gonna buy you something nice. Sound good Leilani?" Leilani smiled "Yeah...it does, let's go." Leilani answered.

Faye was trying to meditate until her concentration was broken by Archangel's shouting. She threw open her door, displeased "Can we please pipe down!?! Some of us are trying to meditate...I can't preform in battle if i'm not focused."

"Oh, It gets so much worse..." Jaci said, sitting down against the box. "Believe me."

A few hours later, Jaci opened the door, peering in cautiously. "It should be mostly over by now..."

Jackson sat down on the ground and sighed. "What do we do now...?"

"Now..." Jaci said, picking up a rock from the ground. "You get me a bottle of water. Pour out about half."

"Why...?" He asked running off and coming bal with a half-empty bottle of water,

"Judging from the ice forming on the container, he's a cryo." Jaci explained. "Freezing that will show control over his powers. Also, judging from the walls randomly bending outward, he's also a telekenetic. That's what the rock is for."

Griff was happy it was over he said "I guess I'm officially a Alpha." He walked over and said "You might want to take my armour for you know for inspection along with my weapons, Do you happen to knew were to find a clean pair of clothes?"

"Let me check you first." Jaci said. "First, I'm going to toss you this rock. I want you to catch it without using your hands." That said, she tossed it towards him.

Faye was gearing up at the sound of hunting for Griff. "Griff was an Alpha..." she said to herself "It's official now...I am the only sane one left in this group..." she joined her fellow valkyries, armed and ready "Alright, let's get moving."
Blades drove Leilani to Tara's and walked up to the host's stand "Hey there, your nicest table for two if you'd be so kind. It's her birthday" he said pointing to Leilani as he finished.

Griff watched the rock he visualized it being stopped. The he held out his hand the rock levitated in mid-air he was surprised it worked he let the rock loose falling onto the ground. He said " Alright, what's next."

"Alright, you have control of your telekenesis..." Jaci said, handing him the bottle of water. "Freeze that."

Tara, the young-ish sea otter behind the stand smiled and nodded. "Right this way. Oh, and if we're anything alike, we have an oyster bar I highly reccomend."

Farica looked her troops over, thinking; their new mission coincided perfectly with this little tangent. She quickly made a few gestures on her tac-pad and sent them all the mission. They were to take FOB Charlie back from the Alphas; plain and simple. "Everyone gear up. This won't be an easy mission."
Meri nodded and walked the few feet to the armory, then started grabbing magazines, tongue hanging out the side of her mouth like a child does when thinking.

Griff looked at the bottle and the water quickly froze " Can I go get some clean clothes now?" He was impatiently tapping his nails together making a clicking noise

Jackson looked at Jaci and trotted off, coming back a few moments later wearing the clothes they had bought earlier.

Griff said"I'll go get some then." He walked over to the shop having 60 bucks in his pocket he bought a 3 pairs of black shirts, 2 pairs of shorts and pants, some socks, and a pair of gloves he handed the cash over and went to the bathroom putting his pair of shorts on along with the rest. He walked out with his armor in his hands ,he laid it down in the jeep. Griff took his knife out and cut the fingers off the gloves and put them on. He walked over " how do I look?"

Jackson shrugged. "How do you expect to look?"

Griff shrugged " I don't know." He looked over at Jackson "I never introduced myself, I guess we kinda got off to a bad start,names Griff and you are?" He was holding his hand out for a handshake

Leilani smiled at the mention of the oyster bar. "Yeah, I think she'd like that and you know what? I'll try it as well." Blades answered to Tara. "Also...what do you think's the best dessert on your menu?"

Faye was a bit worried on the inside about attacking the FOB. She remembered whop she saw in her scope earlier "Attack the FOB, really? You sure Captain Vernon? That's a real big step..."

Jackson shook Griff's hand and smiled. "Nice to meet you, my name is Jackson." He stepped back and smiled. "Glad I'm not the only new guy around here." He said teasingly

"That is what the head-shed wants." Farica said. "But no, I do not personally think it is a great idea."

"Now that's a good question." Tara said, stopping in front of their table and placing menus down. "To be honest, they're all my favorites... My father named this place after me, so the things on the menu were chosen by me too... Not that we keep a rigid selection, mind you."

Jaci cocked her head at Griff, observing him for a moment, then stepped forward and held out her hand. "My name's Jaci. You were turned just in time for Mess too... I'm sure you're familiar with the term, right? Anyways, there aren't really ranks here, though we do kinda look to Pounce and Wise as our leaders... For the most part, you do your share of the work, you get your share of the shelter and food. It's pretty simple. Even though I don't completely trust you yet, welcome to the family." She seemed to be in her normal talkative mood again.

"We disagree, but I digress. Ready when e'er you are." Archangel seemed positively excited at the prospect of killing more Alphas

Jackson nodded a slight farewell to Griff and Jaci. "I'll... Uh.... Catch you in a bit?" he said before walking off toward the far end of the camp, finding a ball and kicking it along the way, before disappearing behind a building.

"That's fine Tara, I personally love a little...unpredictability and variety in life." Blades answered. He shot a glance at Leilani as he looked over the menu. It was nice to see her smiling again for once. "Well, we'll both have the oyster bar for starts then i'll have the crab alfredo." he looked to Leilani "You know what you want?" She smiled and nodded "Yeah, the citrus cod." Blades nodded "Sounds good. Tara, you can leave us the menus...we'll need time to decide on dessert. As for drinks I want some orange soda and i'm sure Leilani wants whatever lemon-lime soda you have, right?" "That's right!" Leilani answered.

Faye tried not to let her nerves show. "I just know this isn't a good idea...as much as people wanna get rid of the alphas, I think I speak for most of us when I say I like living better..."

Griff nodded he sat down on the wall sharpening a stick he found on the ground. Griff was thinking that his squad either thought he was dead or that they were looking for him. He had a very worried look on his face at the idea of this. Griff walked over to the bathroom and washed his face he looked at the mirror thinking, I'm a traitor and killer but I'm going to change that.

Jackson was behind the building kicking he ball back and forth as it bounced off the wall an returned to him. He kept thinking about everything that had happened recently. Running... His father's death... His capture... Jackson kicked the ball once more, with all his might, and it slammed against the wall and bounces off the wall and over the building behind him.

Jaci sighed as everyone around her left, then turned and walked back to her garage. She leaned on the hood of her car, thinking. After a moment, she unpinned the aluminum panel covering her engine and lifted it, setting it to the side, revealing the Triton v10 underneath. She tweaked a few things, then replaced her hood panel and re-pinned it. She sat down against the side of her car with a sigh and started tunning flames through her fingers.

Griff walked over to Jaci saying "Hey, mind if I sit with you?" He was still sharpening the stick he had found.( I got to go soon)

Jackson walked back, panting slightly, looking around for Jaci before trotting to her garage and knocking on the door frame. "Hey! You in here?"

""Yeah, I'm here." Jaci said. "Come on in. And no, Griff, I don't mind. Actually, would you mind giving me a hand with something, both of you?"

Jackson walked in and nodded, his shirt and fur slightly damp with sweat. "Yeah. What do you need?"

Griff said "um, sure I guess." Walked inside and sat on the chair next to the car.

"We are going to modify my car a bit... For now, im just armoring the engine compartment. Alright, first..." Jaci said, motioning to Jackson. "I have all the panels I need cut out marked on that steel over there... If you would, start cutting those out... Griff, you're going to lift the pieces into place wherever i tell you, and I'll weld them. Any questions?"

"I'll get that right out." Tara said, starting to walk away. "The oyster bar is just over there. If you need anything else, just let me know."

"Let's move." Farica ordered, as soon as Merida walked out of the armory. "Hell awaits." She walked outside and climbed into the drivers seat of a 5 ton, firing it up as her team walked out.

Griff looked over and said "Roger that, and why are we doing this?"

"Finally, we march onward to the void. The precipice of darkness. Many shall fall, but I will not be among them." Archangels voice was laced with pure anger and hate. "The will learn to fear the divine once more."

"Alright... And what do I use to cut them?" He asked tilting his head slightly. "I mean... I don't see a saw or anything around here..."

"We're doing this because I don't want to see all the work I've put into this car to down with a bullet through the engine block." Jaci said, then turned to Jackson. "That's quarter inch sheet steel. A saw wouldnt be very good for that anyways." She held up two fingers in a sort of gun shape and made a small, high-pressure blue flame. "Make a torch. Hold it on the metal until it starts to bubble in that spot, the add more pressure. Then just follow along the shapes. They don't have to be very pretty. I can fill in most gaps with filler metal."

Jackson nodded slightly before a small blue flame appeared in his hand as he slowly began to cut the metal, his hands moving along what he was told.

Griff said"oh ok sounds reasonable." He watched as everybody was working he said "You might as well add armored plates to the windows with enough to see threw."

Jackson finished cutting and stepped back making a small fireball in his hand as he looked at it curiously, before snuffing it out and looking at Jaci. "What now?"

"Now, griff, you move this one here." She said, indicating where she wanted what plate. "Dont try to lift it physically. That is not light stuff."

Griff held out his hand moving the plate into place carefully, he set it down were she wanted it.

"Good." Jaci said, starting to weld the piece in. "Now, there's a schematic on the workbench over there... Should show you where the others go. You two keep up the process and it shouldn't take long."

Griff replied "Affirmative." He walked over and grabbed it looking it over.He used his telekinesis to move the parts that were cut over to Jaci so they could be welded(early out all this week so that means more time for rp after school, cya later)

Jackson nodded and did as he was told, and leaned over finishing all the pieces a little while later. "Anything else?"

"That should be it for now..." She said, finishing up the last weld, then stood and walked over to a sink to wash her hands. "It is time for supper now, though."

"Alrighty..." He followed her to the sink and washed his hands before looking back at Grigg then to Jaci. "What did you mod your car for...?"

Faye was rather quiet as they piled in and got ready to head out. She knew something real, real ugly was about to go down. "Just stay focused everybody, as small as our group is now we can't afford any slip-ups or showboating."
Blades nodded "Thanks Tara." as she walked away "C'mon Leilani." they both got up and walked over to the oyster bar, Leilani had taken quite a few oysters whereas Blades only took a few. "Careful Leilani, don't wanna get full on oysters before the meal comes." Leilani smiled as they sat down "No worries, just enough to get the palate going that's all."

"I armored the motor and plan on armoring the rest soon-ish... We have jeeps with .50 machine guns on them, and I could easily put a passenger seat in. I don't want my engine wrecked if I take my car into combat. I already have run-flat tires..."

A short while later, Tara returned with their food and sat it in front of their respective customers. "Alright, you guys enjoy. I'll be back in a minute to check on you."

"Ahh..." Jackson nodded and yawned slightly. "Alright... Let's go get some food... I don't want to think about fighting."

Griff replied "I haven't had food for awhile." He sat back down slowly starting to fall asleep.(just a question could you catch bullets if you used telekinesis then send them flying back?, oh course to a certain limit)

"Let's go then." Jaci said. "I wonder what the chefs made today?" She stood and started towards the mess hall and noticed Griff beginning to fall asleep. "Well, come on!"

(Oh ok cool just wanting to know) Griff replied in a drowsy voice"Fine, I'll get up." He got up and walked over to Jaci saying "I don't care what type of food it is let's go."

Jackson followed and stretched as he walked behind the two.

Jaci grinned and opened the door to the mess hall, where many alphas has already gathered, Pounce and Wise sitting at the head of the one long table. "Smells like spaghetti. That's good, I like spaghetti." She walked over to the line to get a tray.

Jackson took a deep breath in of the food, and sighed. "Ahhhh.... That smells good!" He followed Jaci and grabbed a tray, before looking at her and speaking softly. "So you remember what I said about trying. To get into me of those labs? Think I should talk to Pounce about it?"

"She would probably be the best one to talk to about that..." Jaci said, walking to her seat near Pounce. "Hey, um what I said earlier... When I was tired..."

Griff grabbed a tray and got what he wanted he sat down at a table with nobody at itwanting alone time. He was glad he had food to eat finally

"Yeah... Which part...?" He asked as he walked beside her

Pounce stood and walked over to griff, simply checking up on him. "How you doing? I'm sure it's tough... Look, I realize you probably want to be alone for a while, so I figure you won't take me up on an offer to come sit with everybody else... Still, if you want to, there's a spot for you over there, too."
"Um... The awkward part..." Jaci said. "I won't apologize for believing that... I will, however, apologize for saying it out loud."

Jackson nodded. "It's all good." He sat down at the table and slowly started to eat his food.

Griff didn't answer. He finished most of the food then he walked outside jumping up and climbing to the top of the building he looked around thinking to himself that his squad probably thought he was dead. He walked back inside and sat down with the rest of the furs looking down not wanting to talk, for he knew that most of them know that he hunted them once.

Jackson finished eating before looking at Pounce. "Hey... P-pounce... Jacu mentioned how those guys keep getting stronger... Well... Do you think there is anyway we could get into a lab? I mean, they have so much stuff we could learn there... About them... Their weaknesses..." He said and paused for moment. "I-I mean... It-it's just a thought."

"Ok..." Jaci muttered, a bit let down by his reaction.
"We can send a group... We usually do to rescue someone..." Pounce replied. "But with the losses we suffered in this last raid, I don't know if we can spare anyone... Unless you had a group in mind?"

"It's gotta be a small group." Jackson said, giving a small smile towards Jaci. "I'd suggest... Maybe three or four..." He pointed at "Jaci and Griff. I'd suggest the three of us, maybe one more... If that's okay..." He said and noticed Jaci's mood change slightly, before reaching over and gently tapping on her tray with his finger.

Griff pipped up "I can get you in and out easy, plus I've been in there for awhile." He was standing up

Jackson nodded slightly and bit his tongue slightly. "Alright... If you can get us in there... That's good." He looked around smirking as he tucked his hair behind his ear, his eyes shining with excitement... and a small hit of another emotion, what was it, satisfaction or revenge? Jackson smiled and held up a small plastic pass in his two fingers. "I noticed when I was in the cell that all the scientists had a badge they had to scan to be able to access the computer... So I took the liberty of 'borrowing' Ms. Roan's badge... She's not going to need it anyways."

"Sounds like you have this pretty well worked out, Jackson." Pounce said. "I'll give you charge of this. Anything you can find will be helpful."
Jaci glanced at Jackson, then stood to put her tray up since she was finished eating. "We need to drop some jumpseat a in my car, but we can take it... Get us there quick... And we can leave faster than they can follow us if we have to."

Jackson nodded slightly, before disposing of his tray as well then thanking Pounce before grabbing Jaci's paw and guiding her outside. "Two things.... One that awkward thing... Uh..... Thanks? I think...." He bit his tongue as he felt his face get red hot before continuing. "And the second thing.... Can you go with us and not try to kill those guys unless we have to...?"

"I have nothing against the scientists." Jaci said, her face turning pink when she realized he was holding her hand. "Besides, Pounce gave you the lead on this... I'm following you..."

Jackson froze slightly and quickly let go of hand and bit his lip slighty. "I...ermm...... S-sorry! Anyway..... Should we got ready?"

"Yeah..." Jaci muttered, looking at her hand. "We probably should."

The five ton pulled to a stop a few blocks away from the FOB, airbrakes hissing as they set. It shut off and Farica climbed down from the cab, loading a mag into her rifle as soon as her boots hit the ground. Meri was out of the back of the truck soon afterward, looking around as she hummed to herself.

Jackson wagged his tail slightly and rubbed his hand before taking the badge out of his hoodie and stuffing it into his front pocket. "Alright..." I'm about as ready as you guys are...."

"First." Jaci said, walking towards her garage. "I have a few spare racing seats I can put in as passenger seats... I think one facing forward on the passenger side and one facing back in the middle... Keeps it balanced, and you two can use weapons both forward and backwards if you have to... Also, let's pull a few of the spare jeeps over here and mount the .50s on it... For you two."

Jackson nodded and smiled slightly, "Alright, well... Let's get to it!" He said and climbed into one of the jeeps and moved it near her garage, followed by a second one.

Griff grabbed his pistol along with 5 extra clips and his rifle's scope. He said to Jaci "Let's do this,oh yeah I can't promise to go non-lethal it's just a natural response to kill first ask questions later type deal." He grabbed some mud off the ground smeared it on his fur under his eyes making two lines kinda like what sports teams do, he grabbed his gloves and put them on.

Jackson shook his head and said firmly. "No, we aren't going to kill unless it's necessary. I want this to be one where no one dies. Plain and simple no deaths unless necessary. Got it?"

"Just go with it, griff." Jaci said, mounting the other seats in he car. "Oh, and lift those .50s over here. They're too heavy for me."

Griff sighed"Alright, and no problem I can do that." He used his hand lifting the .50 over were Jaci wanted it. Father grabbed his knife and began sharpening it

"Thanks." Jaci said, starting to mount the first .50. "Just remember... We haven't armored the cab yet, so... Try not to make anyone return fire... Hey, we need to get you guys helmets..."

Griff smirked "Already got one." He stood up and walked over and got it

"Yeah... That helmet is made for ballistic protection, not impact protection." Jaci said. " trust me, you need a racing helmet. Besides, doesn't that thing have a transponder in it?"

Griff shrugged "guess that wouldn't end up well."He chuckled "anyways let's get this done and get going."Griff was thinking about the plan what they would need if anything went wrong. He grabbed the helmet and smashed it with enough force destroying the electronics.

"I'm hoping to avoid that all together..." Jackson said and looked around the garage, before looking at Jaci. "Where can we get helmets?"

"I have a few extra in the far left cabinet there." She said, mounting the other .50. "They might not fit right, though... They're made for me... Anyways, there's a black one, a red one, and I think a blue one... That sounds right..."

"Griff's transponder just went offline." Farica said. "He's either dead or going off of the grid..."

"Black for me!" Jackson said and smiled. "Let's hurry up and get this over with..." Jackson said as he looked at the smashed helmet. "Could they track you with that?"

Blades and Leilani started to eat their meals. Leilani seemed to smile just a bit more than she had since she had turned alpha. "Nice to see you smile again Leilani." she nodded "Thanks Blades, this was really nice of you." she said as they continued to eat.
Faye got a little down at the mention of Griff "Simply terrible...Griff seemed like a decent enough fur. Although if I were an alpha I would have taken the transponder and placed it at a remote location to throw us off. Just saying..."

Griff grabbed the blue one and replied to Jackson "Not anymore they can." He looked in the mirror at the war paint he made with the mud, he sat back down ready for the mission.

Jaci finished up and grabbed her personal helmet; black with blue true-flames. She put it on and zipped her leather jacket up all the way, then pulled a pair of racing gloves from her picket and put them on. Once she was suited up, she climbed into her car and fired it up, the engine roaring to life.

Griff hopped in on the right side cocking the action of the .50 he said over the engine "Let's do this!!" He was very excited for the mission.

Jackson smiled and climbed into the car and smiled as he put the helmet on. "Do you guys think this is going to be worth it...?" He asked, his voice trailing off as he took a deep breath

Griff said "Oh course why else would we go?! Let's just get going!!" He buckled his seat belt.

Jaci nodded, jammed the car in reverse, then punched it, the tires letting out a quick squeak as they left the concrete and hit the dirt. She flew out the front gate and hit the brakes a block later, having spotted the 5-ton and the Valkries. "Uh oh..."

Griff eyes widened saying"There looking for me, and if they do find me they will kill me." He pulled his pistol out and knife. Griff knew that they wanted him but he wasn't ready to give up.

Jackson froze and felt his heart skip a beat. "Oh no... Not now...." Jackson muttered softly looking at the truck. "Jaci... What do we do...?"

Griff thought for a while then said "there is 3 things we can do, 1 we drive and continue the mission,2 I jump out and fight letting you two continue the mission." He frowned "Then there's the third one I hand myself over."

"We're going back to warn the others." Jaci put her car back in reverse and smoked the wheels back towards the base as Farica dropped down into a crouch and opened up on the vehicle. Bullets started plinking off of the freshly armored front as they flew backwards. "Return fire! She's tearing up my body panels!"

Griff fired the .50 ripping the 5 ton's engine block apart. He unbuckled his seat belt saying "Go im gonna buy you some time!" He hopped out firing with his pistol and then ducked in cover. Then returned fire with ice spikes.

Jackson nodded and started to return fire, looking back at Jaci. "Jaci... Let someone hold them off." he let out a slight yelp as a bullet smacked against the metal jn front of him

Griff yelled "Go before it's to late!!" He ducked back in cover he already went threw 2 clips

Jackson continued to shoot,not aimjng for fatal parts of the body, but just enough to injure them. "Hurry up..." Jackson whispered his voice trailing off.

"Duh!" Jaci kept the gas floored until they passed the front gate, then barely got the car out of gear before she had popped the latch on her harness and was climbing out. She ran back to the mess hall and burst in, instantly finding Pounce. "We're about to be under attack!"
Pounce stood and hit the raid alarm, her mind instantly going into fight mode. "Get the gate closed!" She took off towards the courtyard to coordinate her team. As she left, Jaci collapsed, the front of her jacket slicked with blood.

"That's Griff shooting at us." Farica said calmly, an ice shard shattering against her rifle and sending small fragments flying everywhere. Several small sharp pieces buried themselves in her, quite painfully.
Meri boosted up to a nearby fire escape, then up to a second story roof and started running across the rooftops, flanking Griff.

Griff stayed in cover he fired again he was almost out but that didn't matter he sprinted to a new place for cover sliding in slamming his body against the wall. Griff yelled"I'm out numbered why don't you come and rush?!?!" He was loading his pistol

Jackson climbed out after Jaci and watched as se collapsed before rushing to her side, his voice shaking and full of fear and panic. "Jaci!! Please don't be dead..." Jackson put his paw over the wound and closed his eyes. "Come on, Jaci... Please don't be dead..."

"M'fine..." Jaci muttered, reaching up and grabbing Jackson's shoulder. "Jus' cnt heal m'self with m own energy..."

Griff ran out of cover sprinting towards the FOB he was almost there when he realized the gate was closed he yelled "Hey, let me in im still out here there going to kill me!!" He fired the last of his clip towards the Valkries he dropped the pistol being useless now.(cya later I will be back on)

"What do to need me to do?" Jackson asked as she grabbed his shoulder.

Jaci shook her head and took the energy from him; using her own in this instance would've killed her. She gasped as the fragments of the hollow point bullet that had hit her was expelled through her wound and he wound started closing up. "I'm sorry I didn't ask first..." She said tiredly. "But sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission... I only took just enough to heal myself... Nothing more."

Pounce opened the gate just wide enough for one fur to get through and motioned him in, creating a area behind him where the bullets were blocked with her telekenesis. As soon as he was through, she closed the gate and slid the giant lock-bar home.

Jackson nodded and sat down on the ground. "You should probably go lay down... The gate is closed.... We're safe right?"

"We might be..." Jaci said, attempting to stand with minimal success. "I need to help though, in case we aren't..."

Jackson shook his head and nodded, helping up. "you want me to carry you?"

Griff was glad he was safe for now "Thanks, for letting me in I held them off long enough for them to get back." He laid his back against the wall he looked at Pounce "It's my fault they got here when I went missing, they went after me leading them here." He slumped down to the ground putting his head on his knees
