I think that free form RPG's like "The Game" need outside chat to keep it fresh, and fun.
Just keep the posts confined to stuff that affects "The Game".

Well, I renamed this one. The Game isn't mine, it's the player's game. I just gave ya the floor on which to stand on, I figure it's up to the players to give us the walls, ceiling and the comfy seats. ^.^ As for a name.... I don't know. I rather like 'The Game' Sound rather omnious, aye?

I think I'd have to agree with Jadnar here. "The Game" sounds cool. I don't see anything wrong with the name as long as it isn't causing confusion (in other words, as long as it's the only one going here) But hey, if anyone can come up with something better...

*blinks*

I was sorta meaning that in a kidding manner, *chuckles*. Though I was sorta curious as to what weird and unusual names people may have.

How about "Mother Blackbirds Space Stories."

Can we get a head count of furs who are still playing?

The Game:
At the minute I think it's just Gorbin, Babel, and Alex who are still in the bar seeing as Trustor has left with Simon. Well if things start to get nasty, Alex would jump in to help out.

Trustor and Simon didn't leave. As per my last post we are sitting at the table eating dinner and talking with Gorbin (and Vernon befor he went outside).

Trustor is less of a realist and more of a campy idealist when it comes to social situations with a taste for entertainment that can get him into trouble at times.

He knows the problem. But his impulsive playful way to solve a problem may or may not be the best way.

I will have to post his action when I get back from working on the farm tonight. My idea (if fursons think it sound slike fun) is Trustor will pull a pack of Galactic Ace cards out of his pocket and start herding er I mean husteling the room with his wit drawing in the attention of the trouble makers into the game.

Players are welcome and encouraged to participate in the game.

Here is how it will work. Galactic Aces will be just like Black Jack. Trustor will be the dealer. Players who participate RPing gaming will use the online dice roller (how convient '<img'> ) to determin what card they get. Trustor will be the dealer.

Rules for players who play: When Trustor deals you a card. Roll a 1d12. If you get a 10-12 means you got a face card. Roll a 1d4 (1=jack 2=queen 3=king 4=Ace). It's not a perfect system and doesn't match earth cards exactly. But should be fun.

Trustor will play 2 hands (to keep it quick) you can bet RP currency or salad greens whatever you wish Trustor will let everyone play.

Once Trustor starts husteling the troublemakers things may get interesting.

It's an idea what you all think? '<img'>

I just wanted to point out that an Ace is not a face card. Counting them as such will make them more common. That's okay if you what to do it that way (these aren't earth cards anyway), but I was wondering why you need the second roll at all. In Black Jack there is little difference between the face cards anyway.

-------------
I was guessing that a 1 counts as an Ace. Does it? Or is it just a one? (Since these aren't earth cards I'm not sure)

An analysis of the 'Galactic Aces' deck:

Assuming the minimum number of cards, the deck would contain 48 cards. Though I would imagine more then one deck is used. (This would account for the fact that it is possible to get more of the same card than would be in a single deck)

2 through 9: four of each in the deck
Jacks, Queens, Kings: three of each in the deck
Aces: 7 in the deck if 1's count as Aces. 3 if they don't.
Also with this system the deck does not have any tens.

Sorry, but I love math and logic puzzles. So when I seen this system, I had to do this.

Actually having more aces then usual would make sense considering the game is called Galactic Aces

Hmm, I just made an account and tested it and it worked fine for me. http://dice.furtopia.org/users/Vararam.html

Are you sure the name you setup your account for and the name you used when you tried to do the roll match exactly? Remember, it IS case sensative. Other then that I wouldn't know without hearing more about the problem. (For example, it would help to know what error message you're getting, or if the page isn't loading or whatever.)

O.K.

This is the steps that I have takin. Just let me know if I did something wrong.

1.I clicK the rollem butten.
2.I fill in all the spaces needed.
 Gorbin
 Plantguy
 Gorbin takes a hit.
 12
 1
 0
3.I click "Roll the dice" butten.
4.I am told that there is "USER NOT FOUND".

This after I fill out the "application" page with the
user as Gorbin, and password as Plantguy.

Now if I have to use my user and password for getting in to the forums than how will I be able to make a rollem acount for every charactor I may play?

The accounts for rollem are seperate from the forum accounts. This way you can create a rollem account for each character you play.

The problem you ran into Bluegreenman is the Username and Password are (case sensitive) so you have to type it the same (upper and lower case) just as you filled it in when you made your application. When you filled in your application you used:
Gorbin
plantguy and not Plantguy .

Case sensitive is more of a unix based security. But I think I may take that out as it may confuse users. Hmm...

Doggy man? '<img'> Yeah I just added some new code. It is no longer case sensitive. As long as username and password are spelled correctly it should go through fine now.

WS, I just noticed that when you use quotation marks, they are slanted inward. How do you do that?

I tried copying some from one of your posts: “ ”

It just seems to replace 'em with some code

In "The Game". That's way I asked here.

Notice the quotation marks above are straight, as are the ones used in almost all the posts in The Game except for yours. I would show you an example here, but like I said, it always seems to be replaced with some code. (The numbers in the previous post)

OOC: I've had some time to talk with Jadnar. Due to RL life he will be quitting the game at least for now. We can either put it on hold or I can continue it. Just let me know what you would like to do. WS

Well, from the sounds of it, he's going be gone for quite a while at least. If that's actually the case then I'm for continuing.

Also WS, about those quote marks... I'm still curious how you do it.
