When it finally arrives...

So...the box arrived.

many of us know that feeling. The box arrives, its about 3x3x3 feet and delivered by the courier man. you try and play it cool as you sign the paper with shaking hands.

Then naturally...the first thing you do is go to a furry car meet and stand on your car right?



So meet my new suit. I'm over the moon with how it turned out!!

But to make a better thread, how did YOU feel when that box turned up?
What was the first thing you did?
I took a photo of the box...then went back and finished assembling my friend's car with my already dirty hands

I am fortunate to live very close to the creator of my fursuit.  When it was done, I went to his house, tried it on, and then headed out to Anthrocon.     I was pretty giddy about it all though, and it was one of the best con I ever had now that I had a (at that time) partial suit.

I was waiting with anticipation for my first fursuit. LOTS of anticipation!  I told the fursuit maker I needed it by Halloween 2007 (Or was it 2006? I don't remember) because I had a friend come visit me that holiday and we were going to go fursuiting together. A few days before Halloween, one of my friends calls me as I'm riding the bus home from work and tells me a package is at his house for me. Hooray! I couldn't wait to get a hold of it, so when I got home, I called another friend to drive me out to my other friend's house to pick it up.

@Paws:  Just curious, but the legs of your new suit look slightly baggy. Didn't you use a duct tape dummy to get a better fitting suit?

Kobok, little baggy at the base as the maker (MixedCandy) added an extra 2 inches. i'm gonna unpick that strip off as it was designed to be. was added as a 'just in case' messure.

To get mine in time i had to FedEx it to Melbourne (since it takes longer to get to my home state in Tasmania) and i picked it up at my friends house

as for me i cant answer that question because sadly i do not have a fursuit yet and i don't have the money right now...

I guess we don't know quite the same feeling - but I suppose there's something to be said for receiving the big box of fur that will become a fursuit!

You should box up and ship the next one you make to yourself
