What do you use to ink your art?

Which ones produce the best results? ie. doesn't run or create a mess.

Usually any pen if left alone for about a minute after you've inked will not streak or run when the pencil lines are erased. Most of my pictures are inked in Bic 0.4's Dark Line pens. Another type of pen I like to use is a 0.7 Gold pen. When Gold pens are photocopied or scanned in B/W, they come out a lot darker than a black pen. O^.^O

What size of felt tip is suitable for outlines or it doesn't matter?

That would depend on the amount of detail you want in your picture. If there is very little detail, any size will do. But if it is very detailed (like a good amount of mine are -.-) then you want something that is a zero-point-something.

Another 2 paws up for Pigma micron pens! They are also great for inking cels. =^_^=

i use staedtler stylographs, specially the 0.5 for inking the main base
and very tiny details with the 0.35.
I use usually the ink that comes with the package of stylographs ( Staedtler chinese inks )

For me, I use the old-fashioned dip pens, a Speedball holder with an A-5 Speedball nib. My favorite ink is Higgins India Ink. For the shadow side, I use the side the pen you are supposed to. This side has the number engraved on the blade. This produces a nice thick line. For the lighter side, I turn it over, that way the pen almost acts like a point for thin lines.

Me, I use a watercolour brush. It's a sable haired round tip that comes to a nice, fine point. Size? Number 4.
Brushes are wonderful if you can get a grasp on how to use them to your advantage. The lines can feel very wild and full of expression, and the varying line widths can add to the texture in your artwork.
The ink I use is by Higgins. I use permanent black inks, most of the time. It's similar to using an India ink, really.

I use Micron Pigmas. They're supposed to be disposable, but I refill mine with India Ink to save money and the time it takes to run down to the craft store that I buy my stuff from.

I use a .01 for thicker lines and a .005 for the details. Though they make larger sizes, I tend to use the smaller ones and build up thickness in case I make a mistake.

India ink and a plume for me.
It's really hard to use, but I'm getting better every time I use it, and the results are so great. I haven't found anything so far with the color consistancy of that little thing. And besides, it takes a heck of a lot of time until that big bottle is completely use up. ^^
And it's cheap too! XD
