Nocturnal Visitors

My sis has been hearing noise at night and finally found the culprits!  She and her husband live on the 3rd story of an apartment building on the Austin greenbelt and the trees are so tall, they reach up to their balcony.  Hence, the visitors!  Apparently they and their kits live in her attack.  I think they're adorable.  She took these pics earlier this evening.

Cutest of out nighttime visitors is a skunk.. but you never see him.. just the scent of him lingers... Only ones we ever actually see are possums who love the pepsi can stash on the back porch.

Very cute. '<img'>

No coons downunder, but we do have possums and while they no longer live in my attic, they still turn up and eat our roses (possum's love eating roses).
Do you like pillows? I do! ... because I'm only allowed soft things.

Absolutely beautiful creatures!
But now for a more serious point. Someone needs to have an exterminator come in and remove them from the attic. They will live trap them and release them somewhere safe. Then the attic needs to be sealed off and repaired where they entered. 'Coons, rats and squirrels start numerous fires and deaths each year. Most attics have electrical cables running across the rafters and animals will chew these. Once they expose the conductors it's a matter of time before they short out or spark a fire. Not to mention the risk of disease from them using the insulation as thier private restroom.
I did pest control back in the mid '80's, we used to do animal removal about once a month. I've seen the damage they do first hand, as cute as they are your sisters life is worth more.

She says that there are live traps up there.  Put up there two weeks ago, so we'll see what happens.  '<img'>
