Title: Thinking of starting a forum
Post by: Chinook the Orca on November 19, 2007, 10:00:04 pm
I was thinking of starting a forum of my own.  Concidering the program built into freewebs for forums... well... sucks.  I was wondering if anyone had any sugestions of free forum sites.  I was thinking of using a Niceboard account but do any of you have any better sugestions?

TBH none of the free MB providers are nice to use, they all plaster stuff with ads etc.

To set up a messageboard you need a reason for people to want to talk there - an angle which existing messageboards do not fulfil.  Have you got that already?  If not I'm afraid it won't go far.

Furtopia.org can host small forums as well. PM white shepherd with any questions.

Do make sure to get people you trust on for mods and stuff... >>;
I dunno how furtopia took off from there, but the other forum I'm an admin for, we kinda started short-pawed.
Such a bad idea.
