Hello everyone!
Been on the chatroom for a day or so but I thought I should make an attempt at a formal introduction here. I'm a math student from Ontario, Canada in my early 20s. I'm a bit shy and so I find myself with plenty of time to work on my hobbies :) I have been coding since i was a pup, I also do some 3d modelling and other art which I might share here. :D I also sew plushies (I recently got an embroidery machine which I'm itching to make use of).
I have known about the subculture for a while now, but have always been tentative to join. I absolutely love animal stories and characters, but because of the darker side of the fandom, never engaged in it really. Needless to say I am pretty excited to have stumbled across this family friendly board to finally have people to share these interests with!
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to meeting you all, and to calling furtopia a home!

Thanks Old Rabbit!
Do I have a fursona?
Sort of. I have characters that would be considered anthro/furry, 'spaceotter' being one, but I'm not sure I'd consider them an extension of me to any degree. Does that count, I dunno.
As for why an otter, because I am absolutely obsessed with all things otter, ever since I met little Maria at my zoo. The little gal splashed and wiggled her way into my heart, and even as she got old and her eyesight poor I would call out to her and I think she appreciated the attention. :)
*Tentatively sniffs at the cookie before deciding it is safe and bounding off with it.*

Welcome to our little paradise! Or should I say fur-adise?
*crickets chirping*
Okay, I get the hint. Sometimes it's difficult to come up with a creative way to say welcome...
