Hello fellow artists/designers.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it. Anyways... I'm interested in creating a forum of my own and a comment system set up so that comments can be left on individual peices of art.

I suppose this is the same thing as a forum, just using frames to display specific topics where the picture is diplayed?

Anyway... I'm not a complete stranger to coding, but I'm not an expert either. The extent of my knowledge is pretty much summed up at my site here: http://scales.dragoncity.net

If anyone could take the time to help me, it'd be great. I think my site has potential...

You can use a forum or a Content Management System (CMS).

http://www.simplemachines.org has a nice and flexible forum.

There's countless CMS. Check Freshmeat.net

I don't want to sound stupid, but I don't know the first thing about MySQL or anything like that. I have a program that works I think... but it says I need to start a database on the server... how?

You ask White Shepherd for one.

Most scripts that use one, all you do is run the "install" script and answer a few questions and it's all done! '<img'>
