Karo's right, it does depend on the image... But generally, the feeling is more on the indescribable side. :3 I love it. ^^;

Snert is one who tries to make trouble. Not always bad, sometimes just a trickster or one who strives for attention via negative ways. Its a term from AOL chat. Ive known snerts who just say oddball things for attention, doing no real harm. Other times they are total *insert foul word here*

It realy does depend on the peice being viwed in question I have one of an Anthro character looking out over a mountious range towards a city the hwhole scene just radiates peace and a touch of sadness for some reason . But like any question like this the answers fluid changing from person to person and picture to picture you may end up with a good many answers
All I want too do is leave paw prints in the sands of time. (Garfield)
To be forgotten is worse than death (Freya)

I don't know if I'm a Snert, but I get tired of reading the same old things in the furry forums I read.

Now on to the qustion at hand. I try to go to VCL every time I get on line, I just love to see good art.

I'm pretty new to the whole furry universe and one of the things that got me into it was furry art.

I had always loved looking at pictures of anthropomorphic (hope I spelt that right) beings.  It certainly depends on which picture it is (as most of you have said) but to me furry art usually represents warmth and comfort.  It lets me imagine a place where these creatures could exsist and it makes me smile to place myself there for a while...whether it be in my dreams as I sleep or daydreaming in class.  Or it can also be when I write songs or stories.
Like when I listen to music.  I like something that can take me away for a bit, y'know.  Thats what I feel when I look at furry art, I go away for a while.

I appreciate the artform, and the fluffieness of things. Oddly enough, if I happen to see nude pictires of people around on the net (which has happened by accident a time or two) then I am throughly shocked and sometimes repulsed. But when artists do anthros, its acceptible to me! *Shakes head*

I'm definitly not aroused by itor anything, just deeply appreciative of the art itself, moreso then with humanoid pics.

Bluegreenman has been on the forum for awhile and hasn't caused any problems.  He just hasn't been active lately, so I would give him the benefit of the doubt with his question and not assume any bad intent.

As for feelings from Anthropomorphic images, it depends very much on the particular image being viewed.  An image from a good artist can evoke strong emotions and I have seen pictures that have made me want to cry, ones that have made me angry, ones that make me smile and many that make me laugh as well.  Usually the better the artist, the stronger the feeling the image invokes, however there are always exceptions to that rule.  I have seen some simple drawings that can invoke strong emotions as well.

As to yiffy/adult art, it depends on the quality and the subject matter if I find it arousing or not.  There is some yiffy art that while I admire the quality of the work, but don't find it that arousing as the subject matter doesn't do much for me or I don't find the characters appealing.

I guess I can't give a strict this is what I feel answer because there is a wide range of emotions I can feel depending on the picture I am viewing.

Either "Man, this stinks..." or "Wow, nice!"... i treat it as any other form of art, except that it catches my attention more than the others for some reason....

Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I don't like anthropomorphic work much more than any other form of art. I think I've stated this before but, I *much* prefer non-morphics to anthros. Anthropomorphizing a creature strips it of some of its natural beauty, in my eyes.

My overall preference leans towards dark fantasy - dragons, demons, vampires, and all that wonderful stuff.

Well, it's partly some of those images that got me into furrydom to begin with.  The one's where two furries are snuggling make me melt.  There's something about two furries getting close that non-furry art or writing doesn't have for me.

I tend to get pretty aroused with a lot of furry images.

I second that.
It also strikes a chord with the part of me deap down within that would rather be living a primative life in some grass hut living off the land than living in a modern, luxury filled environment such as we exist in today.
I also feal something else...something almost spiritual and undescribeable.

Furry images strike me as more ironic than anything else. For instance, an image of a wolf having tea with a bunny. I think it's delicious, and can be enjoyable on multiple levels.

I don't think that most furry images bring out the 'animal' in me, however. I see as much or more images being ambiguously modern or post modern as I do furry in 'primitive, grassland' situations.

When I look at other artists works I am looking for something that makes me feel like I am that animal and free.

With my own artwork, 99% of it is done outdoors. I like the feel of the freedom. I also like the freedom of the anthros, though they may work, who knows. I know mine just love having fun in the great outdoors with all her friends! '<img'>

I have to agree with that.  To me, the human body is a thing of beauty, but since I'm so used to drawing it, it dosen't really arouse me at all.
