Furtopia IRC temporarily down.

As some members are aware, the Furtopia IRC is currently down and not functioning since about Monday or Tuesday earlier this week. The staff are currently aware of the situation and WhiteShepherd has been notified of the problem. There is nothing any of the staff can do to bring the IRC back online. Only WS can do that. We would like to please ask that all members be patient and the IRC will be up as soon as WS can get to it. Please do not post any more threads asking why the IRC is down. Further threads may be locked or removed at staff's discretion. If you need to ask something about the IRC, then please continue in this thread here:

A power supply failure brought down the IRC while out of town.  It has been replaced and services should be back online.  I'm currently looking into a ARM based server with no moving parts that may provide a better solution.

Is the IRC website still down? Ive been trying to connect for a few minutes and Ive been getting "Firefox cannot connect to the server" screens.

The IRC itself is up, but it seems that the web interface is down for me as well.  Kishi, if you can get your hands on an IRC client (Pidgin, IceChat, Trillian, and mIRC are examples), you should be able to connect that way (the URL for the server is irc.furtopia.org, and the (non-standard) port number is 6007).

Mibbit also works for those that don't wish to DL a client.

Click server and enter irc.furtopia.org:6007 there along with a nickname. The channel is #furtopia.

The IRC appears to be up and stable now. I was just in there a min. ago. You should be able to access it here: http://irc.furtopia.org/

The main room seems to be missing. I'm on via mIRC, and no one but bots are around and only in the secondary rooms. Am I missing something? o.o

For those who have contacted me or Weisse via PM and notified me that the IRC was down last night, I have just contacted WS this morning and he let me know there was a storm in his area last night which knocked out the service. He should have the IRC up and running this morning. :)
