I held off in buying a new miter saw. Know the brand and saw I want. Glad I did. It's on sale!!! $100+ off.

I found a used engine lift plate on sale.  It is the only way to move an engine from my vehicle!

The generic one at the store ... does not fit.  It must be for those old crappy carburated stinking pieces of unsophisticated junk we call classic cars.  You know, the ones that need a new engine every 100K miles?  Which is why the auto parts stores sells the lift plate for them.  Yeah let's use a holly carburator, and we can readust it every 2000ft elevation change, deal with hard starts in winter, and the occasional flooded engine.  And fouled jets... bah!  Things aint like they used to be.  Yeah some minivans have as much power as muscle cars of yesteryear and some Jeeps can go from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds and have 1000 Hp engines, all fuel injected.  Oh and that 1000Hp Jeep meets emissions, but wait, emission controls reduce horse power.  Horse poo.

For better or worse,  I've removed old engine from my stinking piece of car.
Now can I put in a new one? Who knows.

The 'new' used lawn mower I bought is a monster. I cut tall wet grass like it was 3 inches high. No clogging or bogging down. Also uses less gas.

New engine is "installed" but needs more hook-up work as well as a lot of other things, like prayers.

New engine started and ran well! A little smoke and noise till it ran for 10 min.  This is normal from what I've read.

Bad news is air conditioning compressor blew up.  Turns out it was bad... go figure.  So vehicle is not being driven.  It takes weeks to get the part.  I'm tired of this.

Is this your Jeep? Can you get a belt for a model without air conditioning and use that until parts come in?

Good news here: We finally got some rain! I hope it keeps the fires at bay this year.

Hi Varg, yeah my silly old blue jeep.  New engine new transmission.  Both working.  I didn't think to get the bypass belt or whatever it's called. Don't know if it is available.  Good thing is ac compressor came in.  Now I just need time to put it in and refill gas

Discovered that I'm featured in at least two videos shot at the Memorial Day Parade last weekend.

It's a journey of two and a half miles from my camp to the bus stop in Niland. When i first tried walking that distance it took me several hours, mostly because i had to frequently stop, sit down and rest. I've been making the walk somewhat frequently every time I have to go to town for food and today it took me just over one hour.

I'm also 177lbs now, my resting heartrate has decreased from 98 to 80 and my bp has decreased from hypertension to just barely high.

You wouldn't think living in the wasteland would make an old cripple like me healthier but you can't argue with results.
It also helps that I'm very far away from my relatives that made me hate my life and I'm 3 years clean from my opiate addiction.

My recent wellness visit went well. They reduced my medication.

Vehicle is in tip top shape!
New a/c working well! Engine compression is 180psi +/- 5psi so balance is good!
New thermostat and hoses for radiator.   Now the hose doesn't swell huge when hot.  It was a ticking time bomb waiting to burst.
New transmission doing well.
Clear coat is doing great to! It cured hard as glass with minimal defects for a dog spraying a rattle can in a garage.
New tires do great too!

Time for that road trip with my hound!

I no longer work in the food service industry, and I've been getting my teeth fixed, slowly but surely.

And I am blessed to have one of the greatest dentists of all time.

Good for you. :) I had to get a bunch of my teeth fixed too over a year ago. Had some pretty bad problems which led to two teeth getting removed.
But things are slowly improving with me too. Went for a regular checkup earlier in June and had no cavities. And my checkup 6 months before that was no cavities. :)

The only thing I see on the opening page of  Youtube is a notice that says 'Your YouTube history is turned off." After YEARS of choosing 'don't recommend this channel' I finally have the page I want.  :)

Found two RCA "Small Wonder" camcorders at the SA Store today. Took a chance and bought both of them for just $5. "As Is" but only dead AA batteries inside. One had Duracells which had leaked., but no corrosion resulted. Just pried to dead batteries out, swabbed the compartment with rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and replaced the cells. They both came to life! The downside is the 1 GB SD cards, but those are cheap enough, even if they cost more than these digital cameras!

Bought two pelts! One is a huge freaking raccoon and one is a coyote that can't be taxidermied. I'm planning on using her for a DND Druid cosplay.
