I'm a redhead with fair skin. I burn easy. A friend of mine dragged me to the beach and Now I'm a red as a lobster. I wore a new bathingsuit so I burned in places I've never burned before.

*Squeels as she peels her pink back from the leather chair*

If anyone has any secret family things or knows any good creams to help cure a burn, I would be more that happy to here. ':cry:'

Just take a cool shower, not much else you can do about it.
Next time use strong sun protection cream

I dont think there is really any way to cure it. But... sunburn is horrible. Just one reason why I stay out of the sun during summer...

Cooling, cooling, cooling. Best if done as soon as you realize the burn has occured. After that anything you do is for comfort as your body heals itself. There are some lotions that will help get rid of the sting and keep the skin moisturized. If you keep it in the refrigerator it will feel even nicer going on.

Ya know if you had a nice coat of fur that never woulda happened.

I lived in Florida in my younger days and burned a few times so I feel your pain.

Aloe extract is very good on a sunburn, sooths it very well. I sugest getting a bottle of aloe extract and putting it in your fridge to cool it for aplication, comes in a gel and rubs on like lotion. I'd hug ya for comfort but even soft feathers would be torture *v*

take this little note form me...another fair skined red head ....who has burned form the past and gets burned every spring ~mutters to herself....damn bodices~ aloe vera dirtectly form the plant ...and vinger...the vinger will help cool it down and the aloe will help sooth it. Then a large tub of your favorite ice cream and a good three hour movie......after applying the vinger to cool it...then apply the aloe to sooth and sit eat your ice cream and watch your movie.....and one more then make sure your purse, car, friends car or purse has a nice big bottle of sun block. A&D Sunblock works but I found that Hawii Topics(what ever the name is ) 60+ Baby faces...works for me. ~air hugs~ I know the burn too love...good luck...

Yeah, aloe's great stuff!!
When my purrsona's Mom went on holiday to Majorca a few years ago, she accidentally spilt a cup of hot tea on her lap at breakfast one morning. She quickly ran into the bathroom, removed the night-dress she was wearing and rinsed her legs with cold water. Next she applied pure lavender oil to the area which had turned red. A few hours later, the redness had disappeared!!

I have a spray called solarcane or something similar and it works great on burns...
