Tailgating!
« on: February 13, 2013, 09:41:07 pm »
Are you a sports fan? Like to go to a stadium and spend extra time before the game in the parking lot socialising with other fans? Do you ever tailgate and bring a small Weber grill and cook out from the back end of your truck or minivan? Feel free to share stories and recipes here. :)

Well, this is tailgating of a sort.
Anyone ever see that commercial where there is a traffic jam, so everyone got out of their cars and had a highway party? That's pretty much what we did. We had a barbecue in a mile long traffic jam on the way from Seattle, and tons of people joined in. It was fun until some guy had decided to call the police on us... Apparently it's illegal to have fun now. But no one got arrested or anything, so it was good.  :D

Traffic jam barbecue! That sounds like the funnest thing ever. :D And, in answer to the original question, no. I didn't realise that was a thing people did. :-[ Sounds cool.

well that stinks. Guy probably called the cops because he was being a party pooper. @Kobuk, I'm not a big sports enthusiast, so the only time I really ever watch a game, is on TV.

My family and I have Denver Broncos Season Tickets. We tailgate every once and a while.

We go to NASCAR once in a while and tailgate. (Say something about my being a redneck. Dare ya.) we took my uncles one time and it rained. It had rained every time my dad had taken them before I was old enough to go, so he said that they were bad luck. The next time, we did not take them and we had no rain.

Oh, right. That kind of tailgating. I thought this was about driving too close to the car in front.
...I hate tailgaters...

Stay on topic, please. This is the food forum, not a car forum.
