What's the most unusual thing you have eaten?

It's either fried leeches or squab (pigeon) for me. Beat that.

well, ive eaten a (cooked) maggot that i found in an artichoke(it was seasoned when it was cooked!) and i once took a bit out of a bar of soap (never EVER do that) um... that's actually about it....

*gasp*...well I guess fried leeches aren't much better, but they're fun to make. They scream when you cook them so it's kinda gratifying. Plus they taste kinda like an onion ring.

I think the craziest thing I've ever eaten was buffet sushi. Yeah, I'm not very adventurous, and it was not very good |D
As for ACCIDENTALLY ingested things... A bobby pin and a smashed fly that I'd thought was a loose drop of chocolate frosting.

Well I've made and had deep fried ice cream ( its hard to deep fry ice cream

I've also made deep fried twinkies ( don't)

Not to many strange or bad things come to mind, I've tried a lot of multicultural stuff to... Ummm Merrel Mushrooms, not so much strange but uncommon as they're about $50/lb. Also let it be noted that for $50/lb they're not all that special tasting ...
