Hot meals in winter.

Winter's here.  x_x What are some hot meals that everybody likes that help warm you up? What do you love to eat on a cold winter's day? Chili? Soup? Stew? Or something else?

i just eat any thing that i usually do, to me winter is just well winter... but i do kinda miss the days of being 5-10 years old where we were at home and my dad or mom made hot coco and we just watched a movie or some thing....

things were pretty nice back then i didn't know much stuff, didn't have many responsibilities, thought that things would be the same forever (don't know why i thought that) but i like knowing the truth about things more than being completely unaware.

Chili, soup, beef and rice, baked mac and cheese, lasagna, pasta...

Plus, I'm back to having a cup of tea or cocoa every night again ^^

Soups, stews, and chilis are always my vote! Not that we ever really get cold in my part of AZ lol.

I just made some miso tonight, and it was fantastic! I'm definitely going to have to look in to adding more fun stuff into it though, like more tofu, scallions, seaweed, etc. It needs more chunks!

Other than that, chicken tortilla soup is my usual stand-by, along with split pea soup, chili, beef and barley soup, and beef stew.

I recently bought these huge bags of corn flour, chickpea "chana" flour, and "atta" wheat flour from the international foods aisle where I shop. So I've been experimenting with all kinds of things lately, instead of just having oatmeal everyday.  :)

For me, basically any kind of hot cereal is good as long as it's sweet. Shredded coconut, vanilla soy beverage, banana chips, dried cherries, and low calorie sweetener are all good additions.

This is washed down with either brewed medium or dark roast coffee or my attempts to make decent Moroccan mint tea.

@ Aryd: Yes, angel hair noodles are very good.
