How good of a cook are you?

Just curious, but what's your level of experience when it comes to cooking? Are you a "fast and easy" type of person that prefers microwave stuff and eating fast food? Or are you a culinary "master cook" so to speak that can create and prepare wonderful lunches, dinners, and other stuff? Or do you fall somewhere in-between?

I can prepare simple meals and cook mostly eggs and mushrooms :)

I can make awesome chicken fried steak... And just about anything else... Everything else is just ok though.

I can cook for sure. Nice dish of noodles with cream sauce, salad with lemon dressing, greek chicken...but my true skill lies in my baking and dessert skills. I bring my trail mix cookies to a party, they disappear!

I love cooking interesting things; some of my favorites are shrimp scampi, cinnamon french toast, and pasta salads.  Unfortunately, my only point of comparison for skill is my family, and, well... they don't really like to cook much (probably they're in category 2ish).

I can put cheese onto bread. It usually doesn't explode or anything.

I said 4, as I'm okay at cookie but I'm not the best.

Ren Kagesaki, Age 21, Self-employed artisan baker of 11 years, having cooked for the town mayor as well as multiple other events, or just making 21 layer cakes for my friends birthdays, but also likes cooking just as a hobby, with specialties not ranging from a specific area on the globe spanning from European style dishes to traditional Asian dishes, being skilled at sushi, to having Creme Brulee rivaling that of which you can get in France.

I'm average. Used to be a fail everything chef until I was diagnosed with celiac disease... then I had to step up my game hardcore, since my old fast food staples and microwavables were no longer an option. I'm getting better by the day, too. Funny what an autoimmune disease that has an impact on digestion will do for your cooking skills.

I can make the following things:

Microwavable packaged foods
Grilled cheese
Eggs (I'm actually pretty good at this)
Basic sandwiches
Aaand water, although it took me awhile to figure out how to not burn it.

In short: I'm not a cook... probably because i've never tried to make anything other than what i listed.

I am above average specializing Asian cuisine. I can cook the pacific rim and  middle Eastern.
