Come on Hot Topic. Really???
« on: June 10, 2012, 01:41:59 am »
So we all know of the thin, frail fabric of the We Love Fine brand of brony t-shirts. I'm in Hot Topic the other day to check out their offerings and I'll be dag blasted if they aren't carrying the WLF brand of shirts. I figured they'd have their own line (hopefully more durable at that), but apparently not. This really sucks.  >:(

They're not that bad, are they? I've been pawing at one since reading this topic and it seems okay-ish. At least, in comparison to everything else I own. And I'm glad HT are carrying them, 'cause it saves on postage. :)

Without going as in depth as I had in an earlier post, the WLF shirts wouldn't stand up a day for a typical guy because of the thin material, and are sized poorly.

Postage and the wait time. I'm sure the wait from WLF isn't as bad as it was closer to the holiday season (at least from what I've heard), but I've also heard they are notoriously slow in general. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I got mine from spreadshirt instead, and the quality seems fair enough.

Unfortunate that they seem to have partnered with WLF, but that was probably the best/only way they could access licensed goods.

I cant speak to the other offerings from WLF but the basic mens t-shirt is what I tried. For me, their shopping was quick, returning was actually very easy, and the person I had done some email correspondence with had her ponysona pic at the bottom of her replies. Their other stuff may be better quality, but all Hot Topic had in the store was the t-shirts and seat belt buckle belts. I think I saw a hoodie on HT's website, and you can have that stuff shipped to a store for $0.99.

I guess I'll either have to find another seller, or find a print shop to make a t-shirt for me. I'd ask on EQD, but they're so hard up on WLF that they may run me out on a rail for wanting anything different. :D
