Title: The year back, and the year ahead.
Post by: Kobuk on December 18, 2018, 03:39:28 pm
2018 will soon be gone.
2019 will soon be here.

A few questions if anybody wants to answer:
1. What will you miss from 2018?
2. What were some of the best things or times from 2018?
3. What were some of the worst things from 2018?
4. What do you hope for or look to in 2019?
5. Do you think 2019 will be better or worse than 2018? Describe your reasons if you can.

1. I'll miss some of the celebrities who passed away.  :'(
2. Not sure.
3. Everything about Trump.
4. Trump to get impeached or go to jail or both.
5. It may be worse. There's a lot of concern that the U.S. and world economies are slowing and that we could head into a recession next year.  :'(

Some people are obsessed with Trump. Get over it and do something more positive.

1, Really nothing. I did some really cool and fun stuff throughout the year.
2, Performing live in front of an audience for the first time in years. Building a real worktable. No more ply on saw horses for me. :) Building my second guitar.
3, Learning I may have high blood pressure. Not loosing any more weight on the high protein diet a doc put me on. I'm at 220 ( muscular with a pot belly ). Would like to loose a bit more. Taking a huge cut in pay.
4, Building more guitars. Playing out live more. Loosing more weight.
5, Aways better. I'm a hopeless romantic. As long as I have more good memories than bad it's always a good year.

1. What will you miss from 2018?
2018 will probably be the last time I get to take my dog on a good walk, hike, or long car ride
will also miss the open spaces here, most of which are now under construction
Will miss the old days with family, before things got complicated
2. What were some of the best things or times from 2018?
Getting determined to lose some extra weight and doing it.
Taking some time to enjoy nature, and company of friends.
Getting computer area cleaned up enough to use
3. What were some of the worst things from 2018?
     Stress from my job
     my brothers divorce
     fighting with my parents
Dogs ill health and associated problems
New neighbor who is , quite honestly, scary as all you-know-what
4. What do you hope for or look to in 2019?
    new change of scenery
     new job
getting over loss of pet (when it happens)
5. Do you think 2019 will be better or worse than 2018? Describe your reasons if you can.
I have to believe that 2019 will  be better than 2018 was for me personally.  I am trying to change things to make it that way. I have to keep faith or risk losing sight of what I want/need.
As for our country, we will be okay, and dare I say better off than we are now.  I say that because I think that the American people can see what is right and do what is right.  They (we) can learn from our mistakes, and do better if we wish to.  No one politician or figure head makes or breaks this country.  Its we the people!

1. The memories and the friends

2. Going places and having fun. Just enjoying the little moments I’ve had and taking trips to the desert with friends.

3. Friends that don’t talk to me anymore and treat me like they have never known me. Having depression for a couple of months.

4. Just moving on with life

5. It’s probably just going to be the same old stuff. I thought 2018 would be a good year same with 2017. For me it all feels the same and it’s probably going to suck. I can only hope it’ll be better. Maybe I’ll try to get another car so it’ll suck less and I can occupy myself with something to work on.

When you get to  my age it's more about surviving from one year
to the next.  :D  So here's to another year, and a hope that
Trump doesn't blow up the world.

Never thought I would make it, but here it is 2019.  :orbunny:
