Gosh Ifeel such pain seeing a pet on the road dead.
My heart goes out to them and you.
I have a soft spot for animals.  Raccoons on the road dead make me upset gives, coyotes, dogs. Too hard.

My bad news is at work they are having hard time getting funding. Again.

I'm having to defend my actions to my dad again! Next time I buy something I'm just not even going to tell him! I'm sick and tired of him questioning what I do and why.  >:( :goldpissed:

Hi Firelight.
I'm kinda getting old,  and heck,  I still find myself having to explain my spending and I've been on my own for a while. Haha!
I purchased a plasma lamp for my stupid collection.  It was 150. A bit.
Parents saw it. Told me my sister is without a job,  other sister is a teacher could use more pay, etc... guilt trip!
It isn't right, In my mind,  to make one feel bad when they were trying to make themselves feel good without hurting anyone.  Assuming you don't have real obligations to others with your own money.  And assuming you earned that money,  people might want to butt out.
My 2 cents.

My bad news is,  a perpetual favorite,  my lame but job.

No, completely different. The Lava Lamp is filled with water and some sort of wax. Heated from below with a light bulb, the wax melts and rises and falls in globules. The Plasma lamp is a globe with low pressure gas and a high voltage electrode. It makes streamers that respond to touch.

Chipped in for the group "Super Bowl" chili luncheon at work. Event was moved back a week due to a vendor presentation, then moved back another day due to a training day. I was not informed of the second move and unaware that chili was available until I was eating my own lunch. Returned from assignments at 1215, also hoping to get some chili, but it was put away. A huge pot that I couldn't possibly move or access to ladle a few scoops without help. So having a "Lunchable" now.

My bad news is that despite everything indicating I should be happy,  I'm not.   I found and fixed a sneaky exhaust leak.  It was making me dizzy when driving and I would smell terrible odor and would arrive to work smelling like.. engine.
And despite that win, despite getting a good rating at work, despite my knees improving,  I'm just... blah.  Normally fixing an issue like what I did on my vehicle sets me into a good mood.  Not even an energy drink will budge my mood.

Thanks Simo. I was trying to get around to describing plasma lamp for Firelight, but life got in the way.
Not even my collections of things matter to me. I have a few different types of collections. Nothing matters.

I think my job is much to blame,  but reality is I'm going to have to stick with it for a little longer.  But honestly my dog is largely to blame. It is not her fault. I will try to explain.

She is NOTHING like any dog I've been around.  She is mean, cold, unaffectionate. She's unruly,  and hard to control. She bites me and I do nothing to deserve this.

A companion pet has always been a huge part of my life since I was a kid.   Since she is a cranky mean turd, she is also a daily reminder of what I lost. It affects all I do and think.

Not even a dog loves me.
Must be me

I've been tapped to help pack up Mom's things for the move to assisted living. But it's on the same weekend as the local comic con. I'll need to inform the organizers I'm a no show this year.

CORRECTION--The "accidental" upgrade to the Rocketry Forum was actually something I forgot setting up. So all is well in that regard.

I've had a bad bout of depression this weekend and I'm heading into work tomorrow.  Unsure how I manage this.

I know my unstable job and fact I'm getting older and am unsure what job I can get in town combined with my cold hearted dog is much to blame but,  I keep going.

We met some kids who were very gentle petting Eevee. The bad news when we asked them if they had a dog, they said their mom hates animals and they can't even have a fish for a pet! Is this woman normal?

Hi Firelight,
It seems a lot of people are very anti pet.
Some think there is a lot of mess,  time,  money.
I've heard a lot of this from Co workers.

Yet their children go to activities,  cost a lot,  make messes etc.

My bad news is I feel very fatigued.  Idk why.

I've been driving with a bad front wheel bearing likely for months. It was thought to be tire noise. Stopped into 3-4 garages to get it checked--no dice. Took it into the shop where new shocks were installed. Set me back $440 as I had premium grade bearings installed.

Hi Rocket ,
Sounds like although that's a bit of dough, it's not bad.
To do my front wheel bearings,  the parts cost is at least $250 and it takes me 2 hours work and I know what to do etc.
Glad you got that fixed before it seized up!

My bad news is... seems I have no friends anymore.  And work is habitually demanding 12+ hour days 5 to 6 days per week.  Duration unknown.  I'm tired.

Everyone seems to have bailed on Mom this week. That--or it's memory issues. A brother from out-of-town is slated to take her to church tonight, but she's heard nothing from him. I may have to step in.

The NAV feature on my ride decided to zonk out on me this weekend on the way to MCFC. Gray dialog boxes pop up that declare empty or locked files. So Maps or travel data couldn't be accessed. Made finding lodgings a challenge.

No FPS for the next two weeks as key staff will be attending FWA and Garden State Furcon.
