Wouldn't call my self an aficionado but I do have a collection of classical music. Was my music of choice till about the age of 14. Got exposed to rock groups like Yes, King Crimson, Allen Parson's Project and a few other art rock groups. Got hooked.

I checked out those groups you mentioned, and I have to say, it's good stuff. I'll definetely be listening to those in the future.

I have some stuff from Beethoven and Mozart.  I don't have enough, though.

Hans, if you want to hear some darker stuff try Shoskakovich. He's got a few that sound straight out of a horror movie.

I am familier with him. Some of his works are really heart wrenching. It's due to the fact that he lived under oppression during the communist regime in the USSR. For example, his seventh symphony is about Lenin while the tenth is about Stalin. Anyways, The Wagnerians are also known to be pretty dark. Especially Mahler.
