There should be tutorials on the internet. Here is one:

I know I would love to see some of your pieces colorized. I thought I was going crazy because I have only seen the inked ones that you posted. I can't ink so I really like looking at others that can and do it well!

I'm sorry the links didn't help much. I have Photoshop but I mainly use it for scanning and nothing else. I use Paint Shop Pro for my photographs. Really don't know much about it either as far as coloring things in layers in it. '<img'>

You're welcome...

As for PhotoShop being enough, it depends upon what you want to do, really. For painting things in the digital medium, there has to be something better. PhotoShop is mainly for editing photos and existing images instead of painting objects from the ground up. A lot of furs use PhotoShop for their artwork and seem to do alright with it, but they'd probably have an easier time of using programs that are specialised for painting instead of editing.
PhotoShop is great for web design, at least. I usually use it for layout, presentation, and graphic design purposes, rather than bothering to finish artwork in it.

I would suggest Adobe PhotoDeluxe if you can find it. The Coloring Book tool allows you to color your pictures without erasing lines. And it's really easy to create shadows on it too. You color in the shadows, then click done and re-open the Coloring Book tool, it will allow you to color on top of what you already did so the shadowed area is darker. (Ie: use baby blue for a shirt's shadows, then do the done/reopen and color the shirt with the same baby blue color right on top.) It's what I like to use and for a recent picture that I did on that program (just so you can see what I mean) can be found here:
