I don't really know the first thing about any sort of music, because I hadn't completely acknowledged it's existence until a couple years ago. The first thing about dubstep I learnt was from random message boards, about how a lot of people didn't like whatever it was. At about the same time, I noticed this certain style of music cropping up here and there in my day-to-day media outlets. It was amazing, full of these powerful beats and moving sounds, and it inspired me in a way that few songs ever could.
Turns out, they were one and the same thing. I actually felt quite silly, to begin with
. And yes, I have been made to sit and watch/listen to some stuff by Skrillex. It was kind of hard to listen to...
That all being said, I am kind of annoyed how the word 'remix' means 'dubstep' these days. The music is usually okay, but it... gets kind of old if that's the only genre remixes are. But that's just what I think, which shouldn't really count. Relatively, I still don't listen to music, like,
at all.
