Can't refresh forum index

Whenever I try to refresh the forum index, it tries to load and nothing happens. It just stays loading. I can successfully go to another page and return w/o problems though.

Avan, Why is it you're the only one around here that has the most trouble with the forums (Coding, graphics, etc., etc., etc.) ?
The problem must be on your end cause I've never had the problems that you're facing.

... and it's working again this morning (oddly enough by the time everyone starts replying to the posts >.>). :P

I'm suspecting it may have had something to do with the unusually high number of people on-line yesterday (it was the last weekend before finals week, and it was about the time when all the online assignements are due and whatnot, compounded with it being the time when usually there is the highest internet access rates of the day). [My ISP is the campus residential internet service; and so I have to deal with everyone else using our connection as well]

Yeah, it does seem that the connection between me and furtopia is bizarrely flakey. And I have no idea why.
Today its been cutting out intermittently (giving my connection time-out errors). - I found that I can establish a stable connection by using a proxy to route the data around whatever weak link is causing it, but it goes a lot slower than simply spamming the refresh button until I can get a stable connection.

I briefly had connection issues similar to Avan's between 7:35 and 8:40 Central time today (extremely slow page loads at the beginning of that period, and no connection in the later part of that period), and it seems that Shim had these issues during at least part of this time as well...
