Title: 18 Piece Puzzle
Post by: redyoshi49q on January 19, 2009, 06:08:19 pm
This is a puzzle that I made a few years ago, and I've finally gotten around to posting it here.

Below are links to 18 image files that, when assembled correctly, will form a logically coherent image.  They are very small (about 2.5kb each), so they should be very 56K friendly.  Note that some of the "pieces" might not be presented in the correct orientation; for convenience, a link to a rotated image is also provided for each piece.

Alternatively, you can see all the pieces at one from here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/32884868@N07/sets/72157612765731660/detail/) and here. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/32884868@N07/sets/72157612765680080/detail/)

Please do *not* post solutions/ideas/etc. here for the courtesy of other puzzle solvers.  Instead, feel free to post in the spoiler thread.

Oh hey, this is the first puzzle I've seen here in a long time!

Thanks for posting! I'll take a crack at it once I figure out how to do so without a printer. 8)

Wow, that was a fast response time!

I used Gimp to redevelop the (misplaced) solution from the above pieces.  Since Gimp has layers and the ability to move them with a "move tool", I was able to reconstruct the image relatively quickly.  Setting the image's grid to 50x50 by Image>Configure Grid and View>Snap to Grid was particularly helpful for positioning the pieces in alignment.
