I have seen them! Not just at furry cons, either. I've been looking for them but I can't seem to find where people have gotten them from.

I know someone with a kind of ear-flap hat with wolf ears on it. I think it also has the wolf's eyes and nose.
It's a pretty cool hat.

Once I saw some really great traditional hats with cat ears-- one was a straw sunhat and one was like a bowler with cat ears, both were made for women so they might be a little small for some, but I recall them popping up on Amazon... I forget what search term I used, but it brought back cute hats.

I've got a knit beanie cat hat right now, and a fleece bunny hat where the ears are long enough to stand in as a scarf with a little strategic tucking-into-coat-in-just-the-right-spots.

Yes!  All the ones I have ever seen have been yarn-knitted beanies.  Does anyone know of more traditional styles of hat with ears on them?

I ran into this same problem, so I've been working on trying to make a hat for myself.  I was going to use a sunhat, but I think I might try a baseball cap instead.  Probably, this will just involve krazy-gluing a pair of ears to the cap :P
