Your fursona in a comic.
« on: September 22, 2016, 04:14:13 pm »
If you were given the opportunity to have your fursona in a comic, either newspaper strip, web comic, or something else, then what comic would you like her/him to be in, and how would you like her/him to look/be drawn? What situations and stories do you think your fursona would be in?

if i were to ever have my self/fursona (can anyone think of a term i can use for a fursona that isnt just a character but me? getting kinda awkward saying "my fursona who is me") well anyway...

if i were to be in a comic, i would want it to be a web comic, or any other type of story that has a continuation/linear type of story line were it goes from page 1 -> 2 -> 3, instead of something like cartoons where the episodes arent usually connected in terms of the plot.

as for the art style, i'd prefer semi realistic to realistic, with very good shading. so pretty much try to make it look real.

and as for the story/situation, it would likely be post-apocalyptic survival'ish, story based around my life at the moment, or maybe a story just following around with events and my path through life. would likely avoid most very dramatic things, and more into day to day living with the happy/funny/boring/sad/depressing moments that come with it.

im usually interested in stories that are more realistic/less dramatic, more stuff about things in life, ect. those are likely the reasons i like cruelty, and unconditional by Rukis so much. though with all that i guess that im pretty much living in the comic that i'd be in. though at the moment im just waiting for the happy moment in the story to come..

Iara's Crossing used to be a comic book but I turned it into a novel.

Iara has been in many comics...strips, single panels, books...I've made over the years. Usually there is sarcasm involved....sometimes the comics are more serious in tone.

I haven't drawn a strip in ages, mostly because I no longer use Corel Draw or Painter. I might get back into it someday...but for now I prefer to write novels and short stories with my fursonas.

Same kind of comics I used to draw in school only hopefully better written.Dark, action packed, bloody, and generally not something fit for younger readers. My fursona is basically a fuzzy, canine version of the Terminator. He is brutal in combat, though those he dismembers tend to really deserve it.

I once had a friend that used to work on a comic he wanted to create. And he said to me that he'll include a few fursonas from his friends, including me. Although he said that, I didn't have any fursona defined yet. :P  Anyway, I hope he's doing well. :)

My fursona has already appeared in Cross Time Cafe and Carry On! webcomics.

For years I drew my fursona as anthro rabbit, kind of like Bugs Bunny's
father might look with pants shirt and vest.

Now days I would probably like the style I chose for my avatar here on
furtopia. Kind of a realistic two legged rabbit with glasses, vest, and jacket.

He could still use his hand paws for running if needed though.

Character would be friendly, reserved, and helpful when possible. Much as I am
in RL  I am sure he would notice any femaie of his species too. But would be as
gallant and good as any beast of Redwall.. :orbunny:

This would be really cool :D I think I would want ny fursona to be in a web comic or full comic. He would probably be in adventure fantasy stories, mostly where he is alone and is found by travelers or hunters and adventuers with them.

Not unlike Iara, my own fursona originated in the script for a graphic novel.
After a few boteched attempts, we  shelved the project and I turned the story into a written novel instead.

It would be great to see the story come alive in another form (comic, animated feature...) but writing is something I can do on my own.

I think Varg would have a lot of fun in "The Whiteboard". The humor and engineering seem to be his forte.

My fursona has already appeared in Cross Time Cafe and Carry On! webcomics.

WHAT?! I missed this!

I really enjoy the slightly ridiculous, OTT style of graphic novels that Pat Mills and Clint Langley produce, like Slaine: Book of Invasions. A graphic novel with my fursona/furry characters done in their style would be awesome!  (: But unlikely.

Plot-wise, I could see something Celtic/Pagan themed, exploring myths and legends, set in ancient times maybe?

In a watercolored graphic novel of sorts, inspired by Tolkien or Pratchet.

My fursona was also used in a series of gags in the NeoCTC webcomic.

Well Swift Tooth is in a story that my friends and I are doing. It's called the Destiny's Forge and we hope to have it as a cartoon. It'd have to be rated PG 13 though.
