Wolf River

This is a story I've been working on since December 2000 but have never posted on my homepage for reasons I'll explain below. Wolf River was originally intended to replace Wild Rose Country and was originally posted on www.anthrofiction.com under the same title.

After confusing a staggering number of people I eventually changed the title and the names of the main characters in an effort to put some distance between this story and WRC.

The storyline does parallel WRC to some extent as can be expected. However it will go in different directions and will likely be much shorter, likely around the twenty chapter mark.

Here's the link: Wolf River. All nine chapters are in one big chunk for now. I'll split it into chapters when I get the time.

Hope my readers enjoy it and feel free to post any questions, comments and feedback.
I let my mind wander once, but it never came back...

Hello JonaWolf. I'm a little hesitant to write in a thread that has no replies to it yet, but I had to let you know how much I appreciate your writing. I've been following all your stories for several years, with Wolf River being the first. Although all your writing is wonderful, I really enjoyed Wolf River the most, If only because it was the first I had come across. I think the progression of your characters' development and their relationship to each other is what really draws me to this story. It doesn't feel like things are being rushed at all. I enjoy the realism as well, it feels as if it's really happened. You're a great writer and I hope you manage to finish your work. I am only disappointed that there is nothing more to read.

Greetings Tom.

I'm always happy to hear from my readers, even as hesitant as they may have been about posting in an eight month old thread that had yet to see any replies. Such things almost always serve to brighten up my day. '<img'>

I may be a bit slow with my writing these days (it's been an incredibly busy summer so far), but rest assured that I have no plans to quit anytime soon. I've made a promise to myself and my readers to finish all of the stories that I have started. A new chapter of The Gift of a Stranger should be up soon and Chapter 17 of Wild Rose Country is coming along nicely. Unfortunately the next chapter of Wolf Riverhas been giving me problems and I haven't made much progress on it yet, even though it's been quite some time since I posted the last chapter.  Hopefully I'll beat the block on that particular storyline soon.

Thanks for reading Tom, and thanks for posting some of your thoughts on my writings here. Believe it or not, it's things like that which provide great incentive for me to find the time in my busy life to put pen back to paper and get some writing done.  '<img'>
