Shedding the Human Form

During the last topic I posted up here, I've had many responses all of the greatfully recieved and I will respond t othat as well, however for some reason something that was said suddenly kicked my brain into action and I htought I would share a bit of it with you

Quote:
"Some things we just have to deal with because we are humans by birth. Scary thought but can't change it now. (At least I haven't found a way as yet and I don't think any one else has either.)"

Call me sad, I don't care, but for a while now I have been having discussions with a therianthrope of mine and we started to come up with a method for PHYSICALLY shifting from human to, well in this case, wolf.

You see (I am not a professor of biology so I may get this wrong), there is actually a THEORETICAL possibility that physical shifting could happen.  I know that there are a few on the boards that don't like science that much so I won't go into it unless I'm asked to but I thhought it would just be interesting to point it out.

I know that there are those out there that can physically shift (I don't wish to step on anyone's toes here) however, I just htought it was an interesting fact.

The process would require hospitalisation and would be ireversible and a lot of energy would be expended so a large amount of carbohydrates would be needed and fats, but it could ALMOST work.

It could "almost" work? '<img'>
How close to working is that, and what's the consequence of it "almost" working?

And how would it be executed, exactly?

How exactly do you KNOW that there are phys shifters?  I believe that technically EVERYTHING is possible, but there's a serious difference between knowing it's possible and knowing it gets done.  I believe that phys. shifting would be more of a higher level than mental shifting...something you move on to when you're that darn good at Mshifting...would be Pshifting.

Just my take,

':.' That's deep.  Sure, I've read articles on surgery that theoretically could give people prehensile tails, but... I can't even picture how a total shift would work.

Could you possibly go into detail?  I already know I'm not going to understand a lot of it, but I'm still interested nevertheless.

My brother (who passed away last year) had a interesting experience.  Him and some friends were traveling down a road on Standing Rock reservation and picked up a woman hitching a ride.  The drove a little ways down the road but the woman never answered or spoke.  She then motioned she wanted them to pull over which she they did.  It was in the middle of nowhere but the woman was walking off towards a butte in the distance.  So my brother began to drive off until his friend noticed the lady had left her purse.  They turned around to shout at the woman but standing there instead was a deer that lept away across the plains.  They were dumfounded and checked the purse.  Inside all they could find were deer droppings.  My brother still had that purse before he passed on.

Myself I cannot really say what happened.  After living on the reservation for some time I have come to some ideas and searched for a few answers myself.  But I will not go into any depth.

But I will say this.  Whatever you chose to believe is ok.  There is a lot of searching in this world and each of us has our own answers to discover along those paths.  But everything that happens has a reason and that may differ with each of us.  If you feel you belong as something else.  Perhaps there is something calling you for some searching.  But from my experience in the reasoning of this world everything comes full circle.  Remember there is often a reason for being even if we cannot see it.  Understanding and making peace with who/what you are now can help give you discover your future.

My onlook is quite skeptical on the topic, but I'm keeping an open mind to it. I believe in far too many things, yet I'm unsure why I have reservations about this.

Maybe physically altering the very fabric of our being just appears a bit far fetched to me. However mental altering of our human form is definately possible. Lucid dreaming is one way. In a dream where the person is totally aware they are dreaming, and can do anything imaginable.

Perhaps physical transformation is possible, but to do so may take some kind of superhuman effort, which may have unpredictable dangers involved.

I'm very sorry about your Bro, that Deer things sounds extremely strange.  I believe in many things as well.  I think we live in such a fantastical and amazing world that we are almost used to the fantastical and that's why we don't see how amazing it is.

However that is getting off topic, I was simply going to demonstrate a THEORETICAL procedure that MIGHT work and there are STILL many holes in it, however all I can present is what I know.  The post will be fairly complicated, I don'tk now how much everyone knows about DNA and genetics, but I will post it none the less, however I just need a bit of time to get everything sorted out so I can try and make it make sense, it's not one of those posts that should be written off the cuff '<img'> unless I want to confuse anyone.

Please don't think that I am being arrogant when I say I have to amke it clear, there maybe people on the board that are FAR better versed in this than I, however I'm sure that there are others that are not and I want to try and make the post as interesting as I can for everyone.

However this method is not hearsay, this method is based in fact, but as I said it is still very holey and there are bits that are still not explained because I am still discussing it with my friends

Although I do not believe in all science, personally, I would be very interested in hearing what you have to tell us on this, from a scientific point of view.  Myself, I like to believe things are how they are, because it is how they be.  I do believe in shape-shifting, in various forms, though I personally like to believe it from a magic and nature point of view.

As for WS's story, I have heard similar accounts before.  The world we live in is full of mysteries, and that is something I like.  Man's love of science tries to break these mysteries, and/or disprove them with his science.  Fortunatly, I feel that magic and nature are too strong in some things to allow science to break through.  I think this is currently how shape-shifting is, and how I would like it to stay.  Though I am still interested in hearing from the scientific view on this matter.

I'd Be Extremly intersted in hearing about this. I'm a bit of a science nut, and this Theortical possiblity has certanly caught my fancy. I can't wait to see the description of it all. ^_^

Method one
Quantum tunneling
You have a container that can be shut off from the outside (totaly seald off from outside reality). Now inside the container there is a random chance that you will turn in to your chosen animal all you have too do is wait for it to happen likely hood of happening , you would have allot more of a chance of winning the lottery than this. Pluse theres always the chance you will turn in to a plate of sandwiches.
Method two
heavy surgery
you can change allot of your physicl make up with grafting and cosmetical surgery although you would not fully change you could certainly become more like the animal you liked belive me you can change a heck of allot if you're willing to put up with the discomfort.

There is allot of theoretical stuff out there and as you know I was and still am extreamly intrested in this but to date short of selling your soule or being the seventh son of a seventh son there aint allot to be done about physical shift now mental there is allot on that and I think you already have a god few links on that. But you never know science is always advancing. The problem then occures if you can change the body would you have to change the mind would you retain the human side of you? would thebrain cope with the sensory overload and thats not even trading on the ethical side of things well there may be a way I always try n keep an open mind you never know.
All I want too do is leave paw prints in the sands of time. (Garfield)
To be forgotten is worse than death (Freya)
We are all equal in the fandom. ( WhiteFang good fur and friend )

P shifting is an interesting subject.  I've been told my eyes change to a cat like form when I'm extreemly angry, wish I could of seen it, but what is actualy happening I don't know. ':.'
