My Newest Art
« on: October 09, 2004, 03:54:18 am »
Well, now that I finally *realized* that I have an artist forum (my bad, and I feel really bad for all the applications I've sent for it) I can post some of my newest art here. I'm excited about this too, and it means I won't feel bad for flooding the artwork forumns with my stuff. Well, here's the first of some of my newer art. I have a few here, so you may have to wait for them to load.

I love this pic of my fursona. It is quite true to my personality too

My trade with Sskessa, from right here in Furtopia. ^_^

This was a trade with Xamp from Deviant art. It's his character, Snitch. She's pregnant

This was for Gravewalker, from the VCL (I can't remember her exact name there) it was a trade

This one was my first con badge finished. I'm still working on one for Draco

this is my fursona, which I feel is more true to how I feel inside

Very nice work, I like the one you did of Sskessa. But then again I may be a bit biased when it comes to reptiles lol. Keep up the good work.

Hey I think I've seen that one somewhere before....
lol of course you can guess which one is my favorite! I really like your first fursona pic, too. With the cloth and everything, you look so mischeivious!
Honestly, I never thought you were flooding the art forum, after all that's what it's for!

The coloring you did on your fursona pics is really well done. It shows you took a lot of time to get those highlights in there. How many layers and different shades did you use in her fur and hair?

The black cat is nicely done too. Working in black is so difficult for me I try to avoid it as much as possible.  ':p'

For my fursonas, I used about 10 layers I think. give or take 1 layer. I find working with the orange and browns brings out a bright color scheme '<img'>

yeah, I find black hard to do to... but I find white even harder.. I'm always making them grey when I try white.

thanks '<img'>

What kind of paper do you use? I use bristol, but it starts losing its tooth after 5 layers.

wow, that's a lot of work. Heh, sounds like one of those things I've started with an idea and find myself asking, "what have I gotten myself into?"  ':p'  '<img'>

White can be fun because you can use several shades of pale colors to affect the mood of the pic. Warm greys (shades of brown), Cool greys (shades of greys), Light blues (my favorite), or even light purples.

I hope you don't mind me posting a pic here, just for an example, but here's a quick sketch I did for a free badge for a Polar Bear where I used light blues: Badge

Thanks Unicorn - for these I used the sketch book paper in a book I bought.. it was a little expensive.. but worth it.. I'm now becomming fond of Bristol board now... I'll probably do my trade with you on it

Thank you Rebalkat *hugs*

Sumarra - I don't mind you posting a pic. That looks cool. I guess i have to just practice with white for a while in order to get it down. Thanks for the tip

I love all your work, especially your fursonas! (smiles)

I know how it can be putting layers upon layers. I do the same thing with my colorings. As for shading white, I also use blue. My fav color anyway! (giggles)
