I found a used engine lift plate on sale. It is the only way to move an engine from my vehicle!
The generic one at the store ... does not fit. It must be for those old crappy carburated stinking pieces of unsophisticated junk we call classic cars. You know, the ones that need a new engine every 100K miles? Which is why the auto parts stores sells the lift plate for them. Yeah let's use a holly carburator, and we can readust it every 2000ft elevation change, deal with hard starts in winter, and the occasional flooded engine. And fouled jets... bah! Things aint like they used to be. Yeah some minivans have as much power as muscle cars of yesteryear and some Jeeps can go from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds and have 1000 Hp engines, all fuel injected. Oh and that 1000Hp Jeep meets emissions, but wait, emission controls reduce horse power. Horse poo.
