60's and 70's Music
« on: November 04, 2013, 09:20:32 pm »
What are your favorite songs, or albums, or bands, singers, etc., from the 60's and 70's?
What do you listen to from this time?  Or if old enough, what did you listen to back then?
And what do you think of music from this era when compared with today's music?

For anyone here who knows nothing of music from this time (or maybe just forgot who did what), here's some pages worth looking up on Wikipedia...
[1960] | [1961] | [1962] | [1963] | [1964]
[1965] | [1966] | [1967] | [1968] | [1969]
[1970] | [1971] | [1972] | [1973] | [1974]
[1975] | [1976] | [1977] | [1978] | [1979]

So... Who's music is good to you, what do you like to listen to, and so on?

I love this era of music! I have seen the following artists and groups live: Elton John, Doobie Brothers, Alice Cooper, Styx, Eric Clapton, Blue Oyster cult, Gordon Lightfoot, Lynard Skynyrd, Chicago, and Steve Miller Band! I also flew on an airplane with the Guess Who and sat next to Jim Kale and got his signature on my plane ticket, unfortunately it went through the wash :(. Alice Cooper will be coming to Alaska in December and I will be able to see him again! I already got a ticket. :D
