Title: AC 2004 - 1-20-04
Post by: Kada-Ru on December 27, 2003, 09:46:16 pm
I'm a bit late getting started but need to get inspired. (giggles)

So far these are what I have and I need one more to finish the 2nd panel:

A pretty skunkette enjoying a wonderful day! Larger image.

I'm not quite sure what I was thinking of when I did this one but  I figured he was doing some gymnastics or something. (giggles) Larger image.

A couple of roos joustling for fun and exercise! Larger image.

A mother roo with an older joey and one in her pouch! Larger image.

A proud lion 'King' views his domain with his young cub. Larger image.

An anthro lioness' with her cubs. Larger image.

It would only allow me so many pics so I had to break it up. Here are the others:

A couple of young Red Foxes roughing around in the morning daylight! Larger image.

Grey wolves after something that caught their eyes!  Larger image.

I don't know what I was thinking when I created this one either. (giggles) A female anthro wolf exercising. Larger image.

A couple of foxes enjoying the afternoon in a hot tub. Larger image.

A couple of dolphins splashing about on a beautiful day! Larger image.

My last one will be an Orca or two. (smiles) I will be trying to put 6 pics per panel.

Ok. I finished the last piece for the erased pieces!

I was finally able to come up with my Orca piece! Some Orcas just breaking waves and having fun! Larger image.

Now, the fun begins because I am going to try out my new acrylic paints! Stay tuned!

You have been crazy busy!  You have a nice show building up.

Reminds me that I need to get started.  It's only 7 months until AC. (:

wow... you -are- busy! hehe.

I like the red foxes one. Very playful scene. But my favorite is the wolf chase. It's well drawn and the erasing it nicely detailed. There seems to be a texture to the applied black though and I found it distracting. Was that the scan or the medium itself?

(giggles) Not as busy as I would like but getting some done.

Well, I just put chalk on the paper, thought of a picture in my head and then erased it. Then I outlined it adding more 'details' than are visible in the erasing.

I really like how the black wolf one turned out. They are all chalked the same so I don't know what the difference would be except in the colored chalk stick itself.

I don't make them a solid color. Is that what you are talking about Sumarra?

Thank you for your comments. I will be doing more in the coming weeks!

It reminds me of when I would take a piece of paper, put it on something textured, like the couch cushion, or a pock-marked linoleum floor, and rub a pencil over the paper. That would bring out the texture underneath in a pattern within the pencil rubbing.

I chalk the paper on the table without anything smooth between them and that is how the chalk comes out after I 'clean' it with a cotton ball. (smiles) I love how it gives it more life than just a solid coloring!

I've started creating more dragons. I didn't realize how much fun they are to draw! I have several sketches and am planning on coloring them with the acrylics.

This was a an RP in the  Furtopia Forums at a place titled, "Tiki Beach". The characters are Orcashia and Chimera Soul. They were having a tag game and when Chimera went up out of the water, Orcashia followed and she tagged him in return! Larger Image of "Tag, You're It"

This was originally supposed to be the sketch of the above RP but when I started it Chimera was way too big and since I liked how the sketch of the lion came out, I didn't want to destroy it. I did color it (shivers cuz I don't like it): Larger Image, "Chimera Soul"

I did resketch the wings as I have some references for dragon wings now and it has also helped me create more dragons that actally look like dragons! Larger Image of "Chimera Soul" I like these wings much better!

Ok, this is a dragon and foxette. (smiles) The title is "Big Dreams" because the couple are in love and have big dreams that some day their love will be accepted by all!

Later today, after some sleep, I will post more updates. Need sleep and hands need rest!  :)

Nice! I like your resketch of Chimera's wings.. they are much better! The only thing I can comment on there is the wing on the right. The arm bone coming up from behind his head looks like it's curving the opposite way it should be. Is that right?

And I -really- like the new dragon you sketched there! It reminds me of some of the ones I've seen in the Dungeon & Dragon's Monster manual with it's figure (skinny waist). I like it a lot. And the hind legs are just perfectly positioned.

(giggles) Thanks Sumarra!

for the dragon, yes, I got it from a D&D book, "Draconomicon the book of dragons". The small waist just ended up that way. Not sure why. (smiles)

I relooked at the lion wing, and I see what you mean! I will correct that before coloring! Thanks for noticing! It seems when we artists create something we can't see the errors any more. That is why comments from others (non-artists as well) is so important!

Thanks again all! (smiles)
