Furni meetup suggestions
« on: April 01, 2015, 03:46:10 pm »
I just got in contact with my local furni-group out here and we're making a trip to the local IKEA! It's going to be so cool to see all of the furnsuits.

It reminds me, I need to commission a new price-tag to wear to match this new furnsona.

We're talking about doing this more often, so does anyone have a suggestion for other meetups? It'd be fun to see if the local furniture store will let us pose and advertise for them. :)

Usually in the Spring, some cities and convention arenas have Home Improvement shows you can go to. That might be a good start. ;)

I would definitely try to find local antique shops.   You can also go to parks and find solid pieces of outdoor furnishings in their natural environment

Whatever you do, don't go to those rummage/garage sales that people have in their driveways. Who knows what condition you'll find the furniture in there.  :P And you have to be careful not to get scammed. Always check to see if the furniture has scratches, dents, and other damage before buying.
