Been a while since I've seen a thread like this, so..post a picture of your desktop!

I try to keep mine clean and classy :)

I know, right?  Come on Shim, everyone has to have at least a professional level of understanding of audio software plus computer science to make any kind of intelligent contribution to furrydom, society, or better yet, this thread...otherwise they're probably just too ignorant to take notice.

My desktop is just the Recycle Bin and one of the stock Windows 7 pictures.

My desktop is just the Recycle Bin and one of the stock Windows 7 pictures.

Mine would be totally stock too...if it were not for the fact that Im a furry and thus felt the need to modify the original Win7 background into this one:

There is a very tiny subtle diference, maybe you can spot it,LOL! :D

Go to your desktop, minimize all the browsers or windows you have open so they dont get in the way, then press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard, its on the same row as the F1 to F12 buttons, about 3 from the end depending on your keyboard. Then just open paint or photoshop or whatever you use, paste it in there and save it as a normal pic. Upload to photobucket and paste your link here :)

---

If you mean how to post it here, upload it to photobucket or whichever photo hosting site you use, copy the link from your uploaded photo and paste it in between this code:
Code: [Select]
[img]Your link pasted here[/img]You get that code automaticly by pressing the little icon that looks like a photo just above the box where you write in your posts/replies.

Heres a guide: http://forums.furtopia.org/furtopia-org-services-support/inserting-images-into-posts/

That is my "desktop". Obviously minimalistic. Perhaps a tad too minimalistic. (Click me)
Or, if ompldr is down, here is an ImageShack link: Click me

At any rate, the stuff you see on the top is "xmobar". It lists desktops which have at least one open window on them on the left, then the active window name (which is not there because there is no window on my desktop), followed by CPU and RAM statistics, up- and downloads and MPD, which is pretty much just info about which song is currently playing, written down in "Artist name - Title (Album) [Time remaining]" and, last but not least, the date and time.

The rest is for my window management, done by xmonad. I just LOVE tiling window managers, and doing everything with my keyboard.

Why do I have it this way? Well, because I like it, obviously!  :)

Previously known as Omni. Now known as mlatylorxu (catfox) or, at times, as mlatu (cat).

Haha, I was just talking about how I didn't have a bunch of shortcuts and stuff. But yeah, I guess my background could be a little scary if you don't like snakes.

I'd be suspicious of that computer. Playing a song and displaying that desktop... and it's got 27% CPU and 54% RAM in use? Clearly hiding something.

I am sure most of you put random icons in the task bar, well that's what I did. Starcraft ftw  :D!

My desktop icons are hidden because they are way too many, I save everything in the desktop, specially images.

Look closely in to the image now, go, do it, closer... closer... aaaaaaaaand its May the 14th.

What color is a chameleon on a mirror?

I keep my random icons on the desktop; nothing gets saved there unless it's to remind me to clean it up (as in delete it) later.
